THE IMPERIUM BRITANNIA The United Kingdom was stronger than it had been since the days of Winston Churchill. But it was hardly a kingdom any longer, especially after having held Normandy for a number of years, and the union of the Iberian and British powers. On June 3rd, 2054, the name of the United Kingdom was changed to the more polished name of the Imperium Britannia, and King William Windsor was crowned Emperor of Britannia in Westminister Abbey. The Duke-Prime Minister in Australia is given permission by the Crown to advance his honorary feudal title to that of a King's due to the increasing of the King's title, should he so wish, although it is not the place of Britannia to dictate Australian affairs. Alfonso of Iberia shall be given the title of King as well, although under the Imperium, upon the reconquering of Iberia. The British government and the Crown ensures everyone that these name changes are ceremonial, and that the functions of Parliament and the autonomous governing of British territories will not be impaired, nor will Britain's membership in the British Commonwealth. British troops parade up and down the streets of London, displaying the military might of Britannia, the newly declared champion of democracy around the world. ---------------- It was folly in the eyes of the British generals for the Muslims to establish a civilian government in the midst of the harshest part of the fighting yet come. The 500,000 Iberian troops from France, waving the new flag of the Imperium, the Influence Jack, finally reach Northern Iberia, sweeping into the region to support the British-sponsored Holy Order of Saint George. Purple = Britannia forces Purple Dot (Remove one; error) = Aircraft Carriers, each guarded by a naval escort RAF forces continue to fight against the Caliphate Air Forces, planes being launched from the heavily-defended Azores and the Aircraft Carrier H.M.S Windor's Fist. The Caliphate is sent an ultimatum to withdraw from southern Iberia, and return the Gibraltar territory, or else there will be an extended,bloody war, which the Imperium will not be willing to lose. -------------------- Religious revival and fervor sweep through Britain, nudged to life by the mending of the Anglo-Catholic schism. Charities for the refugees from France are founded by religious groups, and Norman loyalists petition Parliament to create for them a new homeland where the might live free from German rule. Parliament considers their request, and begins to debate founding a oil drilling settlement in the British Antarctic Territory. While they're at it, authorities attempt to contact the British engineers and soldiers in Antarctica to see how their expedition to find oil goes... ((Will discuss with Mod)) Meanwhile, Parliament now directs its attention to the economic crisis. Irish farms are used to help bolster food production, although it would be much appreciated if Australia would help to make ends meet by allowing the British to purchase surplus food from them until international authorities can figure out how to resolve the nuclear waste crisis in the Baltic Sea. Oxford University continues to research condensing the LION technology into smaller models, although the energy source for these weapons is massive and currently cannot be fit into a handheld device. ((Will discuss with mod)) They also begin to search for ways to cleanse the Baltic Sea of it's deadly nuclear waste. ((Mod required)) -------------------- The new British flag, the Influence Jack, is assured to be purely symbolic of English influence around the globe. -------------------- The British Commonwealth pushes for a response from the American government as to their ultimatum for withdrawal from Canada. Although many draftees have returned to their homes from their service in the British Royal Army, they still number almost 400,000 men total. 250,000 begin to prepare their equipment and train in amphibious landing procedures, should the response from the Union prove negative.

THE UNTIED KINGDOM OF WESTERN EUROPA The United Kingdom had made peace with Germany and it's allies. However, it came with a price. Pax Europa's backbone had been broken, and the organization was falling apart. Nevertheless, The United Kingdom and the Iberians had hardly lost; French Polynesia had been turned over to the British Commonwealth. But France had been lost. Loyalist Frenchmen and Frenchmen who did not wish to be under German rule began to flee to Great Britain and Iberia, although most to the former due to the Muslim invasion underway in Iberia. The Iberian armies, now waving the Union Jack of the newly United Kingdoms, immediately whipped around and began to rush south into the Iberian peninsula, prepared to fight the Caliphate invaders with everything they've got. However, only 100,000 British troops remain, 20,000 of them professionals, to assist the Iberians; the rest begin to return to the United Kingdom, setting up for a new campaign elsewhere... The Russian troops are returned to Russia, and the British government demands that flawless, Untampered elections are held in Russia immediately. Then Great Britain and Iberia go diplomatically silent. ------------------- The British Government is outraged at the invasion of Canada, and even moreso by one of their oldest and most trusted allies turning on them for so little. The representative body of the British Commonwealth of Nations is called to order in London. The King of Great Britain gives a speech whilst there. "The Union States of America have invaded CANADA, a Commonwealth realm! It is outrageous, a slap in the face to all English-speaking nations! General Patterson promised, TO MY FACE, that Canada would remain free! That they would not infringe upon their sovereignty! Yet, lo and behold, they do! We must force the Americans out of Canada, by any means necessary! I call for a Commonwealth Coalition to be formed between our nations, especially between the more powerful ones, such as my own, the Australian Federation, and South Africa. If we do not stand together, then when the time comes, we shall stand alone. And it shall not end well. We are the defenders of democracy now... as King Charles, my father, once said, we are 'The Paragon of Good'." The British Commonwealth sends a warning to General Patterson of the Union States , and the Royal Navy begins to rally. The message sent to the American Union from the British Commonwealth reads as follows: Leave Canada alone, or the British Commonwealth will intervene. Negotiations may still be held, however, if Patterson is willing. ((Forum PM if interested)) --------------- Meanwhile, Ireland overwhelmingly votes to rejoin the United Kingdom, and they do! The sun never sets on Great Britain! ((Pok Approved due to Irish inactivity)) British troops are sent there immediately, to help the Irish Defense Forces fortify the island. The farms of Ireland are also put to good use; hopefully, they should be able to help support both populaces in the way of food production... ---------------- The schism between the Anglican Church and the Catholic Church has been mended, the Anglicans merging with their Catholic brothers once more, under the condition that their unique customs be respected in their dioceses, and that the King be able to act with the authority of the Pope in religious matters within Great Britain. The Holy Order of St. George is contacted; Prime Minister Yorkshire wishes to speak to their leader. Finally, the name of Anglo-Iberia has been changed to that of The United Kingdom of Western Europa. Other names suggested were the United Kingdom of Christendom and the Imperium Britannia. These names are still being debated upon, but Western Europa seems like the most neutral of the three choices. -------------------- Mission Control in Australia anxiously awaits a report from the crew of the Jovian Moon mission. THE UNITED KINGDOM OF ANGLO-IBERIA The war wasn't going as well as expected, and the generals of Anglo-Iberia's High Command knew it. All the time, while attempting to hold off the German forces, the reservist force sent to hastily cover the flank of the army clashes with the Romans, fighting ferociously and with great valor as they desperately attempt to prevent a disaster from happening. ((Forgive me if anything's wrong here, but this is the best battle map that I could make :( Yellow is Caliphate, Purple is Roman, Dark Red is German, Blue is British, and Green is Iberian. 150,000 American troops and planes would also be fighting alongside the British forces in Normandy, to note.)) If the Germans and the Italians forced the line to break, and the Anglo-Iberian forces could hold out no longer, their main armies in France would flee to Normandy, retreating orderly to the French coast as they attempt to ferry themselves across the English Channel to the safety of Great Britain and it's own fortified coasts, as well as to the protection the now highly alert and potent Australio-British navy. ((I can make an image if need be Pok, but the above is pretty self explanatory in my opinion.)) Meanwhile, in Iberia, the battle continues to be waged on, the small number of tanks and airplanes mounted with LIONs slicing ferociously into the lines of the Caliphate. The two airforces struggle for dominancy, though Britain would conserve many of it's F-35 Lightnings in the event that they're forced to pull back to Britain. The draftists aren't quite as well trained as the invading Islamic forces, but they nevertheless fight valiantly. After hearing of the slaughter of their comrades, the soldiers are appalled; British and Iberian soldiers alike begin to treat Caliphate positions in the same manner, if given the opportunity. Meanwhile, in territory occupied by the Caliphate, the devoutly Catholic populace would take up civilian firearms and makeshift weapons, as well as scattered military stores, and attempt to resist the Islamic occupation with tooth and nail. The civilian resistance would be far greater than that in the Muslim countries, and the populace would intend to make it hell on earth for their Muslim enemies. Finally, the stream of mysterious cargo ships stop flowing into Britain. Any German spy satellites in orbit would notice a peculiar sight indeed... Russian tanks, troops, high-yield Intercontinental Missiles, and hypersonic bombers were unloading at the docks of Great Britain from these ships. They number about 700,000 in all, and are outfitted with advanced Iberian and British weaponry to help bolster their aging equipment. The ground forces would be prepared to rush in and save the Anglo-Iberian forces, to either help them hold back the onslaught of enemy troops or buy them time to escape in France. They'd be prepared to travel to Iberia's northern coast, and assist the draftee army in fending off the Muslims at a moment's notice as well. ------------------ "Three... two... one... this is Mission Command, we have liftoff!" Deep in the Australian Outback, the last of the British crew was ferried to the Anglo-Irish space station aboard a Leprechaun class rocket. The rockets had been used for years by the Irish and the British to transport men and women to the space station, and by now this was a routine launch. But something was special about this particular launch... The H.M.S Spirit of London was the first interplanetary vessel of the Australio-British space program, docked at the Anglo-Irish space station. Its mission: To travel to the Jovian Moon Europa, and act as a space station in orbit whilst the astronauts aboard established a base of operations and a series of mining facilities on Europa's surface, hopeful to reaffirm the beliefs of Oxford University that there was, indeed, oil in the Jovian Moons. If this mission is successfully launched and executed, a series of long-range cargo ships would begin to be manufactured to transport any oil or resources found on Europa from the Spirit of London to the Anglo-Irish space station, and then in turn back to Earth for processing in the United Kingdom and Australia. ((Outcome to be decided by Pok; also to be discussed in further detail with moderators)) Ireland is publicly pleaded to join the Australian and British efforts in managing the space program, and also to rejoin the British Commonwealth as a realm. The British will not force the latter, but they highly recommend that the Irish do so for their own protection and for cooperation with other commonwealth realms.

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF ANGLO-IBERIA Desperate times called for desperate measures. With the invasion of the Iberian Peninsula underway by the Caliphate, King Alfonso of Iberia and the House of Chancellors threw in the towel. They pleaded to the British to save them from their miserable situation, to take charge and lead both armies to victory... if they still could. Shortly afterwards, the Iberian Royal Family fled to London. So Britain, the world's genius in keeping territories under their control happy, organized all British and Iberian territories into a new organization: The United Kingdom of Anglo-Iberia. There would be five provinces the new United Kingdom: Britain, which would be under the direct control of King William Windsor and the British Parliament, Normandy and the FDR, lead as-is, and Iberia, which, after it was stabilized, would be lead as-is by the Lord Governor Alfonso. All would be represented in the United Parliament, which would be based in London, England. -------------------- The line is held on the Western Front by the American, British, and Iberian forces, and British commanders immediately begin to take command of Iberian troops. As per the formation of the new United Kingdom, the former King Alfonso is named Lord Commander of the Anglo-Iberian forces in France, and is given full military authority in that area. But something had to be done about the Romans, and the Caliphate... Reserves and spare troops are gathered from across the lines of the newly United Kingdom, and are sent southwards to engage the invading Italian army. At this point in time, the British had drafted and trained another 150,000 men from across Normandy and the Britain, and the Iberians had begun to throw more and more men into the army as well with their home country threatened by the Muslims and the Romans. Together, the newly drafted troops would number 400,000 men, and they would gather in Northern Iberia, scrambling to mobilize and engage the Caliphate invaders in the south. They would be supported by spare British and Iberian tanks, SPGs, Air Calvary, and other vehicles necessary to provide support to a major army. ((I'd draw a diagram, but I'm terrible with those... If someone wants to draw one for me, go for it. Otherwise I'll try to get one drawn in the morning.)) As this new army, lead by veteran officers and equipped with the advanced Iberian weaponry and armor, hurries to engage the Caliphate forces, two British aircraft carriers, guarded by a convoy of British naval ships, arrive off the coast of Northern Iberia. They would immediately begin to launch air strikes against the Caliphate lines, employing the usage of drones and other RAF aircraft to do so. The LIONs would be mounted onto a number of extra vehicles, though the destruction orders still stand, and are to be taken very seriously. Very. Seriously. They would especially be employed against the Romans and the Caliphate, as the United Government considers it too risky to employ them against the Germans on the Western Front at the moment. --------------- Meanwhile, a stream of unmarked, civilian, commercial freighters makes its way from Russia to the United Kingdom around the South African Cape of Good Hope. They keep at a good distance away from known positions of the enemy navies and coasts, and this stream of ships also refuels at known British territories. What might these freighters contain...? ---------------- The Anglo-Iberian government would now be willing to meet with Germany and her allies fighting in the war with her at the negotiation table.

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN Field Marshal Sir Nicholas Cater, the replacement for Nicholas Parker (The British Government loves the name Nicholas), was resolute: The enemies of Britain would not take Normandy. Trained draftees begin to pour into the Royal Army from across the United Kingdom and Normandy, numbering 450,000 men in all. The Entire British Royal Army now numbers 700,000 men, including 250,000 regulars. 300,000 of the draftees are sent over to the Northern Front to reinforce the 3rd Norman Army in Normandy in preparation to defend the British Territorial Republic, along with the Americans. The British Expeditionary Force of 100,000 already fighting in France would slowly withdraw to defend Normandy. They're under strict orders to not let the Germans advance into Norman territory, and they begin to create a defensive line around the Norman borders. The Iberians would be begged to continue to work with the British in such a case, as they believe that the best strategy to defend France is to split the German Army into two, and battle each part individually. However it would be understandable if the Iberian troops coordinating with the British are reassigned to fend off the Italians and the Caliphate. Battle plans are drawn, and the newly promoted Field Marshal would coordinate with the assisting generals to create this new defensive strategy in the North. Upon seeing that the Germans are using EMPs, the British decide that they've chosen to ignore this particular rule of war. In response, the British attempt to detonate a number of pinpoint EMPs over the German positions in hopes of inflicting such damages that the Germans have attempted to inflict upon the Pax Europan forces. Planes are grounded upon seeing the effectiveness of the German anti-air system; a number were lost, but not many, as the British commanders were quick to realize their blunder, and they wished to preserve their air power for the defense of Britain should it come to it. The forces in Britain would begin to create a system of fortifications around the British coastline and entrench themselves, especially in the south and the west. They're obviously preparing to defend themselves from attackers, intending to make any invasion of the British Isles costly in both lives and resources. ------------- The Australian-British-Irish(?) space program goes as planned, the components and designs for their first interplanetary space ship now completed. Soon, they shall be ready to attempt to launch an interplanetary mission to the Jovian Moon Europa. ((1-2 Pages)) ------------ In Gibraltar, the British troops have no other choice but to surrender, preparing to accept the offer extended by the Caliphate to leave under the condition that the non-Muslim inhabitants of Gibraltar are given the choice to leave with the British troops and return to the United Kingdom, along with the destroyers H.M.S Revelations and the H.M.S Merlin should they so choose. They are also requested to swear by Allah that they will uphold their agreement. However, the British would destroy all of the equipment that they leave behind and sabotage the vital facilities in the Straight on their way out if the offer's accepted, following the "letter of the law".

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN ************** King William stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. The cameras of the British media were on him, watching him as he addressed the British people. "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!" He screamed into his microphone, dressed in full British military uniform. "Today, France has been invaded again! The Germans have ALWAYS been imperialists! Always, they have created world wars! And now the Third World War is upon us! It is true... we are not as powerful as we used to be." The King hang his head softly, the crowd growing silent. "Gone are the days when the British owned half of the world... gone are the days of Queen Victoria and Winston Churchill. But in this era, a new Winston Churchill shall be born. A new Queen Victoria shall arise. Leaders shall prove themselves in the service of their country, civilian and military alike. Today, we fight for freedom for the Normans, who have THRIVED under our rule as a Territorial Republic. Today, we assert our dominance as a nation of democracy over the forces of evil! Today, Britain shines again! WE FIGHT! THE SUN NEVER SETS ON GREAT BRITAIN!" The crowd roars in response, "THE SUN NEVER SETS ON GREAT BRITAIN!" ---------------- Anticipating the worst, the British government issues a draft. Tens of thousands of civilians are thrown into the British army, being trained by their peers in the United Kingdom. ((2 Pages)) Luckily, the anti-aircraft system set into place by the British has been completed, just in the nick of time. Any nation that attacks Britain via the air will be in for a nasty surprise, as the RAF and the British Royal Army turn to full alert. 110,000 British troops, all clad in Iberian Combat Armor, are dispatched to Normandy, along with tanks, SPGs, and other support vehicles, along with RAF F-35 Lightnings. They would meet up with 190,000 Iberian troops, and would move southwards through the FDR to confront the German army from the north whilst the Norman 3rd Army moves to the Norman-German border to defend their homeland. British drones and RAF aircraft are employed to seek out German targets, soaring over Normandy and the FDR to attack their targets. ----------------- As if a sign from a higher power, Oxford reports breaking news to the British government: Project LION had been completed, and was in perfect functioning order, albeit a few instances of unreliability. Ecstatic, British generals begin to incorporate the weapon into a select few of their tanks, ships, and fighter jets, although they keep the main weapons of the vehicles equipped as well in case of weapons malfunctions. Units equipped with LIONs would be told to not let them fall into enemy hands, at all costs. They were to destroy the weapons rather than allow them to be captured by the German military, under any means necessary. Oxford immediately works on condensing the weapon into a smaller, more efficient, handheld machine, but for the moment, LIONs are restricted to vehicles The technology is also shared with Iberia, as per a previous agreement. ((20 Pages)) ------------ The Australian help is highly appreciated in defending the British Isles, and the PMC troops, along with the other Australian forces, are utilized to fortify the Eastern and Southern British coasts, as well as train new draftees. The Royal Navy is launched into British waters to patrol the British coast with their Australian allies, although the aircraft carriers and nuclear submarines remain in port, heavily guarded by AA and aircraft. They would cooperate with the Australian Navy to patrol the shores of Great Britain, a small number of ships now armed with larger, first versions of the LION weapons. The Navy would hastily attempt to continue to install these weapons on their ships, although this might take some time... ------------------ The United States is requested to send troops to the British Isles to help defend them, as per their defensive alliance, in the case that any of the nations that have declared war on them attempt to invade their homeland. They don't have to fight in France; just help defend British shores. ---------------- The space program continues to go as planned, Australia being used as a testing site by the United Kingdom. Upon hearing that the NCR and CSA are also working on a space program, the United Kingdom considers reaching out to these nations to cooperate with them... ((May PM you guys)) ---------------- Finally, the spies sent into the UK by the Caliphate might make some progress, but due to the highly beurocratic and elitist government that now runs Britain, it would be rather difficult for them to gain any ground beyond low ranking government positions.

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN "Don't, you dare, tell a soul about this," King William said immediately, glaring at the Oxford scientist who was reporting to him. "But your majesty! This could help to solve the world's oil crisis!" "And it will solve the oil crisis, but it will be solved under the Union Jack, and not the German Tricolor or the Japenese Dot," the King growled. "...yes your majesty." The scientist sighed, bowing before leaving the room. *** Several days later, Prime Minister Alice Yorkshire and the rest of the cabinet were summoned secretly to Buckingham Palace. The King told them of Oxford's findings, in a nervous yet gleeful manner. Alice smiled across the table, along with several other ministers. "You know what this means, then, chaps?" Many of the ministers nodded, and Alice herself replied, "It means that we're embarking on a grand expedition into the solar system, aren't we, your majesty?" The King just nodded slowly, smiling the sun's smile. "I've talked to the Australian Prime Minister, and we're to work together on this project. Perhaps with the Irish as well, although that is yet to be seen. Friends... we're going to Mars and Jupiter." ---------------- Australia and the United Kingdom immediately begin working together on researching and building efficient, interplanetary space craft, using every resource at their disposal including the Anglo-Irish space station to hasten the process of building and researching the components for these craft. The program, in addition to the Oxford Report, remain a top secret project of these two nations of the British Commonwealth. ((5-6 Pages)) --------------- King William and PM Yorkshire attend the Afrikan Commonwealth leader's party, as well as the marriage between the Japenese and Chinese Crown Prince/Princess, as a sign of good will to the Afrikan, Japenese, and Chinese peoples. --------------- The King of Great Britain praises the Australian government for creating a nobility system, and as a sign of good will, decides to write a personal letter to every lord in Australia, and asks the Australian Prime Minister if it would be proper to hold a traditional feast between the nobility of Australia and the nobility of the United Kingdom. --------------- The British government watches the Bulgarian situation with extreme, deep interest. They're prepared to intervene at a moment's notice, should it suit their interests. --------------- The British quickly make their move to secure the British Antarctic Territory. 40,000 British troops and engineers quickly move to secure the designated British portion of Antarctica in the Antarctic Treaty, and immediately begin to secretly experiment with scanning and drilling for oil in the area. ---------------- Much of the British army has now employed the Iberian combat suits, especially the overseas forces of their military. They continue to pump out these suits for military usage. ---------------- The "green energy" program in the United Kingdom has finally been completed, and wind and hydroelectric power fuel the nation. Normal oil requirements plummet. ---------------- Seeing no more need for them to be stationed there, the British task force in Africa withdraws, returning to the United Kingdom. The Afrikan King is told that if his people ever need protection from the Middle Eastern powers again, Great Britain will gladly assist his country. ---------------- Upon hearing of the approachment of the Roman forces near Gibraltar, the British garrison and destroyers there prepare for the worst, getting ready to defend the straight from the Italians. Missiles are armed, planes fueled, and turrets loaded. 100,000 British Troops, in addition to aircraft and a fleet of naval ships, are prepared to intervene if the Italians attack the British-held straight or Iberia. The British government asks for the Roman Emperor's reasoning behind sending an army to Gebraltair. THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN It was election day in Great Britain. The Traditionalist Conservatives were saddened to see their King having to relinquish a justly won position, but the new Prime Minister would serve them well as well, they were sure. As they still held a vast majority in Parliament, the TC Party was easily able to get their candidate chosen by the King. Her name was Alice Yorkshire, a 3rd generation Anglican Arab. The decision to choose her as the next Prime Minister had been made for a number of reasons: --She appealed to the Traditionalist Conservatives, for her values and ideals; they were similar to those of the late Prime Minister Edward Leigh and she herself was a strong supporter of the British Crown. --She appealed to the minorities of the United Kingdom, due to her enthinticity. --She appealed to Anglicans, because of her devout Anglican faith. --She appealed to members of the armed forces due to her "iron fist" type of diplomacy. --She appealed to Thatcherists, due to her capitalistic and low-government ideals. --Lastly, she appealed to the other political parties, due to her willingness to compromise with Parliament during times of unrest. As King William passed the reigns of the Prime Ministership to her, a parade of the Scotts' Guards was held in honor of Britain's only King-Prime Minister. As he relinquished the office to Yorkshire, he whispered something in her ear. He told her to be strong and corageous, and to do what was best for the United Kingdom and it's people above all else. She whispered something back, inaudible to the microphones of the BBC, promising to work with the Crown to further the restoration of Britain's greatness. And thus, the King grinned. The power of the crown still, in truth, remained the same; as promising as Alice was, she was just a female, minority Edward Leigh. He was, in truth, still the real head of state of the United Kingdom. Just like his father King Charles had been before him. -------------- With the new designs to the Iberian body armor, the suits are immediately put into production by the British government. As factories pump out the suits, they would be assigned to all active military personnel, the expeditionary force in the Afrikan Commonwealth being put at the top of the list to receive the new suits, and the 3rd Army in Normandy being put at second priority. The British troops and vehicles sent to the Afrikan Commonwealth disembarked, going to join the Confederate troops for training. RAF jets soar over the skies of the Commonwealth, helping the Confederate Air Force in securing them from the looming threat to the north. Suface-to-Surface missiles are set up in the Commonwealth to help aid in their defense. -------------- The British government is satisfied with the American response, and the King personally sends a letter of apology to General Patterson for his mistake, also reaffirming Britain's commitment to preserving what's left of democracy in Europe. -------------- The British wish to negotiate with either Australia or the NCR for railgun technology, so that they might implement it into their naval forces. ------------- The research into creating energy weapons goes slowly, but surely, breakthroughs being made since the arrival of the Australian scientists. The green energy program and coal mines will both soon be completed, alleviating some of the pressure put on the United Kingdom to find a new source of oil. All leaders of Europe, especially nations with standing Imperial or Royal families, are given invitations to attend this feast, an echo of the glorious European ceremonies of the days of old. --------------- Britain begins to install a system of anti-aircraft systems all over the homeland British Isles and Normandy, deciding to copy the actions of the Germans. THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN The British naval additions, started in the Franco-Iberian War, had finally been completed, and 10,000 more British soldiers had finally returned from Normandy, the confidence in the loyalist 3rd Army, now 50,000 strong, and the PFN (Peacekeeping Force of Normandy), growing greater and greater by the day. A single aircraft carrier, 7 destroyers and 10 frigates had been added to the fleet, in addition to the captured French warships. **** British Naval Stats Aircraft Carriers: 3 Destroyers: 16 Frigates: 30 Vanguard Class Subs: 4 Amphibious Assault Ships: 2 Nuclear Weapons Submarines: 5 Rubis Class Submarines: 2 Trafalgar Class Submarines: 6 Assorted Coastal Naval Ships: 44 ***** ----------- The request made by the Confederacy is cautiously considered and weighed. At last, the British make a public declaration swearing to aid the Commonwealth of Afrika in the event of an invasion, and decide to prepare a task force of 70,000 soldiers to assist the Confederacy in protecting the Afrikan Commonwealth. The new carrier H.M.S. Excalibur, packed with RAF fighters and bombers, along with 6 destroyers, the 2 French submarines, 3 Trafalgar Class submarines, and 10 frigates make up the British naval task force. The force would be dispatched to join the Confederate fleet, notably avoiding the Suez Canal to get there, and the British admiral would wish to confer with the Confederate and Afrikan leaderships to discuss defensive strategies. Great Britain also calls for Ireland and Iberia to send troops to aid the Expeditionary Force in it's endeavors. ---------- Norman farms help to increase the food supply of Great Britain as their crops are harvested, and the nation now has a surplus of food. ---------- The United Kingdom has created a research agreement with the Australians, and is pleased to hear that they've consolidated New Zealand and convinced them to renew their membership in the Commonwealth of Nations. The Australian scientists immediately begin to aid Britain in it's energy weapons research.

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN Normandy was recovering quite well. A new legislature had been elected by the Normans, and they worked in cooperation with Lord Nick Parker, the new Governor of the territorial republic and the British war hero of the Franco-Iberian War, to make Normandy a better place. A new all-Norman peacekeeping force had been instituted throughout Normandy, and Frenchmen supportive of the British cause in Normandy join the 3rd Norman Army, a British military force made up entirely of Normans to help protect Normandy. However, it is ensured that every Frenchman who applies to join the peacekeeping force of Normandy and the 1st Norman Army is background checked. Resistance or ex-French military, who have not sworn allegiance to the British Crown or it's government, would not be accepted for fear of them turning on the Brits. *** Britain continues to send financial aid to French businesses, homes, and farms in Normandy, attempting to rebuild the countryside. Normandy is beginning to claw it's way back up under British guidance. *** A large propaganda campaign is launched by the British government in Normandy, as they attempt to continue to win the hearts and minds of French civilians. Schools are reopened and repaired, and the children of Normandy are taught both English and French. To help further the propaganda, a memorial is built to commemorate the brave Frenchmen who fought in Normandy during the Franco-Iberian War is created by the Norman government using British funds in the new capital of the territorial republic, Rouen. --------- In response to the Islamic Caliphate's embargo on the British Isles, which was expected, the Straight of Gibraltar, still under British control, begins to tax Caliphate ships exorbitantly as they pass through the Straight, hoping to make them pay for placing a full embargo on them. Even though the British would obviously never buy oil from the Caliphate in the first place. Just in case they attempt to try something, the King dispatches 6,000 British Soldiers to protect the Straight, along with artillery pieces and missiles. A couple of destroyers and a number of RAF aircraft are assigned to Gibraltar to protect the straight as well. The British government also requests help from Iberia to secure the straight, requesting that they send a number of Iberian troops to help reinforce their defenses. They also formally ask the Iberians for the designs to their new body armor for the British military, along with a number of the suits themselves. The British intend to make the Straight of Gibraltar an unconquerable fortress. ---------- The Afrikans are returned a message: The British Government will give them the designs to the Panavia Tornado and to the Eurofighter Typhoon in exchange for adequate shipments of oil to fuel Great Britain.

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN The car bomb that had exploded in London had gotten the attention of the King and the British Government. So had the socialist outcry. The King called an emergency session of Parliament into order to discuss what to do about the growing movement. But the Traditionalist Conservative Party was still very strong, and had gained even more support from the recent victories in France and the addition of new Normandy territory into the United Kingdom. Corruption starts to be sought after by MI6, on both sides of the political spectrum, and corrupt politicians would be brought in for trial in a British court. The King of Great Britain also agnoledges that he posses too much power, and vows to not accept another term as the Prime Minister of Great Britain, though he will continue to act as the United Kingdom's King and Head of State; a new Prime Minister would be elected and appointed at the end of his term from the majority government, which was still soundly and fervently Traditionalist Conservative. Other than this, however, King William notes to the media that he has not exceeded the power granted to him in the British constitution; rather, he has been exercising the same amount of power that his father, King Charles, had used during his reign. However, he will relinquish the office of Prime Minister in the next elections. He also demands that the Socialist Movement cease their bombings, or they will be classified as terrorists and be treated as such by the United Kingdom's Anti-Terrorism Police. ------------ The United Kingdom looks forwards to participating in this year's Ashes with Australia, and wishes them good luck. King William makes good on his father's promise to the late French Minister, shipping food and financial aid across the English Channel to rebuild Normandy. Also, the remainder of the French Navy is given to the British by Pax Europa; these ships are to be renamed and recrewed by the Royal Navy. British troops would also seize several French nuclear weapons and copies of their designs for transport back to the United Kingdom to be studied. Farms would also begin to be planted across the fertile fields of Normandy, to help bolster the United Kingdom's food supplies. ------------ The United Kingdom offers to buy the French city of Calais and it's respective province from Germany, to be merged into the Territorial Republic of Normandy, for a negotiable price. They also offer to negotiate a price for French Polynesia. ------------ The government now turns to domestic issues across the United Kingdom. Due to the fall of Saudi Arabia, the UK is being granted rations of oil from the Russian Federation. However, it isn't enough. The UK requests that Commonwealth of Afrika sell oil to them, as well as the United States and the CSA. The UK government gives permission for mines to be established in Scotland and Wales, hoping to exploit the coal-rich areas to help bolster the UK's energy supplies. A program is also started to utilize more wind and hydro-electric power. ((??? REACTION POST The Anglo-Iberian troops cheered in glee at their victory. The French Army had been all but defeated, and they knew it. They stormed across the French countryside, offering aid to civilians as they passed through. The Northern British Expeditionary Force attempts to finish off the defending northern "army", and hold the beachhead so that supplies could soon be shipped from the United Kingdom to France to rebuild the Pax Europan occupied territories. Pax Europa has a plan to divine France amongst itself into zones of properly organized, democratic territories under the control of the victorious governments that will be implemented as soon as the French government concedes to their terms of unconditional surrender. The majority of the southern Anglo-Iberian army moves to secure the border between German France and the rest of France, in case the German army decides to make a move, whilst another army splits off from the main force and moves to capture Paris. The British and Iberian troops would march through the Arc dé Triumphe, playing military music in a grand parade as they march through the newly conquered capital. That is, if they succeed in capturing the city. Also, if successful in capturing Paris, The Union Jack and the Iberian Flag, as well as the Irish and Russian flags, would be raised above the Eiffel Tower, and the French Tricolor would immediately be (respectfully) folded up and removed. Also, if they were successful in capturing Paris, the French Government would be demanded to surrender unconditionally to the Pax Europa Alliance.

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN "CHAAAAAARGE!" The Anglo-Iberian army officers screamed, rushing forwards from their defensive positions, accompanied by their respective armies. Artillery, air strikes, and surface-to-surface missiles were hurled towards the French lines for a few moments, ceasing as the Anglo-Iberian infantrymen, APTs, SPGs, and tanks reached the French lines. General Sir Nick Parker lowered his field glasses, grinning. There was no way in Heaven or on Earth that the French could stand up to a frontal assault of such magnitude. Yet he frowned, knowing that a lot of good Frenchmen, Englishmen, and Spaniards/Portuguese were going to die today. But their side fought for a good cause: for democracy. For their countries. For a brighter future for the French people. *** Indeed, serious damage had been inflicted upon the French line during what was now known as the Nantes-Lyon Charge, many more Frenchmen dying than Anglo-Iberians. It was all but certain now that the southern French lines would soon collapse. *** Meanwhile, the British invaders in Normandy simply continue to keep fighting onwards as they're stalled whilst fighting against the makeshift French armies in the north. -------- The United States President and the Prime Minister of Canada (Mod Please) are, again, requested to meet with the King of Great Britain to sort out the obvious mobilization situation on their borders before it breaks out into unnecessary bloodshed. Whether they accept the request or not, the British King-Prime Minister still wishes to meet with the American President to discuss the current situations in Europe. However, at long last, a trading pact is offered to the CSA, the British Government deeming that they get along fairly well with the Americans, and therefore they can risk trading with the new southern nation. --------- The trading pact with Nigeria is accepted. --------- The King is very unhappy with the results of the latest session of the British Commonwealth. He tells the nations that dissented against the United Kingdom that if they do not work together, they will slowly be picked off one by one by other aggressors. However, he doesn't expect for his continued pleas to have much effect on the dissenting English nations... ---------- Great Britain declares that any nation that attempts to invade the United Kingdom or it's home islands will be met with nuclear force from Trident Missiles.

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN A new King, and, a new Prime Minister, have been chosen in Britain. In the previous weeks, Prime Minister Edward Leigh was growing sickly with cancer. Though this had been carefully kept from the public, everyone was concerned. Upon the Prime Minister's death, a grand funeral procession is held in his honor. Under the British Constitution, King Charles now had to select a new Prime Minister to replace Leigh. He decided to choose a delegate from the House of Lords to become the new Prime Minister, and in that House, there was one man who had the coalition's support above all else. One man who could fully unite the nation. The Prince of Wales, and the successor to the British throne, William Windsor, was appointed the new Prime Minister of Great Britain by King Charles, with proper, legitimate support from Parliament. He was a former British army officer, and an energetic, younger man, appealing to both the young and the old alike. He did not gain as much support as Prime Minister Leigh had, but he still had the Traditionalist Conservative Party's blessing. And then the unthinkable happened: King Charles, overnight, three days later, died in his sleep of old age. The world mourned over his death, and world leaders from all over the world, including the President of the United States, the King of Saudi Arabia, leaders within the British Commonwealth, and heads of state from Switzerland, Iberia, and Russia would be invited to attend the King's funeral. But this had left the newly corronated King William in an odd position: He was both the King, AND the Prime Minister. He now had more power than any other man in the United Kingdom. He had his work cut out for him... ------------ The defensive pact is accepted from the United States. However, the British government isn't happy that the Americans are mobilizing troops on the Canadian border. The King wishes to meet with both the Prime Minister of Canada, and the American President, both in Washington DC, to negotiate a settlement between the nations, fearing that the Americans shall soon attack a nation of the British Commonwealth. ((Will PM a mod and America)) ------------ Iceland is scorned for waiving the defensive agreement that they have with the United Kingdom, and is also politically scoffed at over the British media for choosing Nazi oppressors over the pro-democratic British. All deals with them are immediately canceled. ------------ The war continues to be waged in Normandy and in Southern France, as British tanks and artillery join in the attack on the French lines. The British would deply their own surface-to-surface missiles, attempting to strike at the French lines. As a saying goes, "Police forces make the worst militaries, and militaries make the worst police forces". The British generals in the north hope that this saying will remain true, and that the French anti-terrorism police will soon be overpowered along with their commandos. The RAF and the Russian Hypersonic Bombers continue to attempt to target France's infrastructure, and now have a new goal in mind as well: to knock French UAVs out of the sky, and reduce casualties on the southern front. -------------- A meeting of the British Commonwealth is called to order again by the King of Great Britain. He requests that all member nations form military alliances with each other, in order to better protect themselves from Imperialists around the globe. The King also calls for the Commonwealth to be strengthened, and act as a more powerful organization in the near future. Specifically, he requests that members of the British Commonwealth become more involved with each other, and think of themselves more as cousins or brothers than as competing nations. He also requests authority from the Commonwealth members to decide Commonwealth actions for for the organization. We wish no ill will on the French people, but rather, in fact, offer them good tidings." The British Prime Minister was now addressing the world on public television. "Almost one hundred years ago, we invaded Normandy; not in the name of Imperialism, but in the name of freedom. Our Canadian and American brothers fought alongside us, and together, we defeated Nazi Germany and freed the French from oppression, ushering in a new golden age for the world. Now, we fight to free the French from another form of oppression, yet another oppressive government: their own. Hopefully, by the end of this war, we will have shown Europe that the United Kingdom will not stand for Imperialists such as the French, or the Italians, or even the Germans. Britain will not rest until the French are free once again, under a stable regime constructed in the name of peaceful democracy. Earlier this evening, the German Chancellor and the French Foreign Minister walked out of the London Convention, in the presence of his Majesty himself. This was a spit in the face to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Russia, Switzerland, and Iberia, member nations of Pax Europa. We are DEDICATED to the prospect of peace in Europe, anti-imperialism, and the survival of our society. Some believe that Imperialism is inevitable, that it's a 'dog eat dog' world. Well it is my own opinion, and the opinion of the majority of the British government's, that Imperialism can be avoided through international cooperation and peaceful trade. There are still enough resources in this world to go around, still enough to provide for the European population. All we need to do is to simply cooperate; actions such as those taken by the corrupt French government are both unnecessary, and unpopular. We must continue the good fight in France, not for our own purposes, but for their future, and for the betterment of Europe as a whole. As a rather famous British Prime Minister once said during World War II, 'We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.' A standing ovation is given to Prime Minister Edward Leigh, although it is all but certain that there will be some opposition to the War in France in Parliament... ----------- The Northern British Expeditionary Force (NBEF) would have made the landing earlier successfully, on the beaches of Normandy and successfully met up with the paratroops and the SAS, but they had been pinned down 10 miles into their landing zone. The NBEF continues to fight against the French, hoping to draw troops away from the southern front. Meanwhile, on the southern front, the Southern British Expeditionary Force (SBEF) fights alongside the Iberian military, cooperating with them every step of the way. ---------- The RAF continues to soar over the skies of France, engaging in combat with the French military and targeting railroads, highways, airports, factories, and military facilities. In cooperation with the RAF would be a number of Russian Hypersonic Bombers... However, the RAF and leased bombers would specifically attempt to steer clear from destroying civilian businesses, non-military infrastructure, and rural towns, as the British intend to attempt to win the "hearts and minds" of the French population. -------- The British troops fight on, their government deciding that they won't withdraw from the war with France. At least not at this point... however, the British are still open for negotiations with the French if they choose to come to the negotiating table in the near future. -------- The main British land strategy, notably, is to push forwards into France from both the north and south, and attempt to battle their way towards Paris. British soldiers are specifically ordered to treat the French people with respect and dignity. Any oppression shown towards the civilian populace, and crimes committed against them, would be severely punished through a series of military tribunals and strict punishments enacted upon troops with their malice in their hearts. Therefore, the Royal Army obeys their commanders' orders, for the most part. There are always exceptions, but they are quickly dealt with. --------- The Royal Navy would assume the following strategy: The Royal Navy's aircraft carriers and nuclear weapons submarines are kept in port, carefully watched by British Coast Guard. It would be nearly impossible for French submarines or surface vessels to attack these ships without being spotted and attacked by the Coast Guard or the RAF. The fleet that had accompanied the NBEF would attempt to hold the Normandy coast, keeping close to shallow waters in case the French decide to play dirty. They would be on high alert, always scanning the waters with their SONAR and RADAR. The remaining naval task force in the Azores remains there for the moment, deeming the British channel too dangerous at the moment to attempt to cross. Smaller British ships begin to lay mines along the British southern coast, hoping that it will help to deter any unwanted French attacks. They're carefully marked, so that British and Pax Europa ships can carefully avoid them. --------- 20,000 Russian soldiers would surge forth from Province (near Morocco), and attempt to meet up with the southern Anglo-Iberian task force to help bolster them. --------- A request is made to Russia for a trading pact, in hopes of securing a new source of oil due to the imminent fall of Saudi Arabia. --------- The Royal Marriage between Princess Laura, the daughter of the Prince of Wales, and the Iberian prince has certainly gained a lot of publicity in the press, helping to provide the British an escape from the war stories from France. Though Princess Laura is a liberalistic, modern girl, she nevertheless enjoys her new marriage. --------- Thousands of British men and women would be called to join the RAF, Royal Army, and Royal Navy to help bolster forces. The British naval program is highly invested in, and shipyards would begin to construct new destroyers, frigates, several cruisers, and a new aircraft carrier. The war effort helps to provide jobs to unemployed British civilians, helping the domestic economy somewhat. THE UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITTAIN The British General grins after hearing about the newly negotiated peace. Now it was time for France to pay for turning Imperialist. The RAF would continue to provide air support to the Iberian and British forces, continuing to battle the French Air Force fighters and bombers. The Iberians and the British would, however, surge forward across the new Portuguese territories, the British heading along the Western Coast of France towards Normandy, and the Iberians pushing forward into the country as well, backing up the expeditionary force. British tanks and armored infantry spearhead the assault. Prime Minister Edward Leigh of Great Britain addresses the United Kingdom over Television. "People of Great Britain, we have won a great victory today. But we aren't out of the woods yet. We must continue the good fight in France, alongside our Russian, German, and Portuguese allies. Why, you might ask? Are they not a democratically-run nation, like us? Unfortunently, they are not. The Fifth Republic is but a democratic guise for power; the French President is nothing more than an imperialist dictator, who would have gladly taken a chunk out of Iberia if he'd been given the chance. He even opresses his own citizens, living like a monarch whilst his people suffer in financial despair! He has done little to nothing to help the French economy. In fact, the only French actions he has taken during his administration is to try to draw us into their imperialist agenda, taking advantage of our wish to preserve Europe and our good will, and oppress others under him. People of Britain, we cannot let this continue. We, are a Paragon of Good; today, we shall finally give the French what they have been searching for since their Revolution almost two hundred and fifty years ago: unconditional and stable freedom." The crown thunders in applause, crying shouts of "Long live the King!" and "The Sun Never Sets on Great Britain!" A second British army is dispatched, escorted by ships of the Royal Navy. Their intent is to attempt to break through to Normandy, and land on their shores, to help the other British army and the Iberians. The British SAS and a division of Paratroopers would also parachute into Normandy beforehand, and attempt to sabotage the French coastal defenses and ships if they have any. --------- Meanwhile, on the home front, the Traditionalist Conservatives are beginning to get annoyed with the Firebrands. The government keeps a close eye on the amount of unrest from the Liberals and lower classes, and would insist that factories and installations vital to the war effort remain in operation, despite the sit-ins, but due to the war, the threat from the political opposition is considered minuscule, and non-vital at the moment. Police would monitor the riots, but would ONLY intervene if they became violent. Political analysts hope that the war will pull the nation together in a fever of nationalism. ---------- Unfortunently, the British Government is unable to send significant military aid to the Saudi Arabians at the moment. However, the threat to their main source of oil is too much to ignore... The King and Prime Minister of Great Britain will meet with the Saudi ambassador to discuss this issue further, and lay out possible plans of aiding the Saudis in the near future. --------- Brittain also wishes to discuss a possible royal marriage between the British Royal Family and the Iberian Royal Family, though this isn't made public at the moment. --------- Russian fighters and bombers, as well as gunships would be given permission to use the British Isles as a base of operations against France. The RAF pilots still stationed in the British Isles would join the Russian gunships in attacking the French infrastructure.

SHORT POST Prime Minister Leigh is shocked to hear of the French joining the invasion of Iberia. He had known that the French had been unusually quiet as of late, and that something fishy had been going on, but he hadn't suspected them to outright join in the invasion of Ibera. At the worst, he had expected them to sit on the sidelines. No matter. Over a secure line, he gave the order to the RAF General in the Azores. RAF fighter planes are launched from the Azores and the H.M.S Queen Elizabeth, and broke the recently renewed military alliance with France, engaging the French air force in an attempt to regain control of the Iberian skies. The British troops would join the Portuguese lines, as soon as the High Chancellor approves their landing in Portuguese territory. The Prime Minister and the King of Britain both sign and send the following letter to the French government: "You call yourselves defenders of democracy, a republic, yet assist the Italians in subjugating the Spaniards and the Portuguese. You are hypocrites. All pacts and deals between Britain and France are hereby nullified, until you withdraw from the Iberian peninsula. --Prime Minister Edward Leigh --King Charles, Monarch of the United Kingdom" The United Kingdom would also offer Russia assistance in restoring it's power grid, offering to send British engineers to assist the Russians in doing so. MI-6 is also on high alert regarding cyber attacks... British troops and ships are also ordered to begin moving towards the south of Britain, in case the French decide to retaliate via an attack on the British Isles themselves.

SHORT POST The British ambassador wouldn't be happy that they're unwilling to cede the Azores to them, but nevertheless, the United Kingdom will still help to liberate the Iberian Peninsula. The task force's land forces, however, for reasons unknown, is doubled before the force is ordered to Portugal. The RAF would base itself out of the airbase in the Azores, as suggested by the Portuguese, and the transport ships would request permission to land in Portugal and unload their troops, under the command of General Sir Nicholas Patrick Carter, to join their mobilizing forces in preperation should conflict break out. The fleet remains in the Azores as well, ready to defend the airbase there if need be. The British government reaffirms it's ultimatum to Italia: Get out of Iberia, or the British will stand by the Portuguese and the Spanish to protect their independence and free democracies.
