Fallout: Echos from a Long Dead Land (A Post Nuclear Apocalyptic FRP) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuO5Jiqn9q4 It is not known who launched the first nuclear weapon that started the conflict. The nuclear exchange between the USA and China that characterized the Great War lasted for only a brief two hours, but was unbelievably destructive and reshaped the climate of the world even as it caused the fall of most of human civilization everywhere across the globe. More energy was released in the first moments of the Great War than all of the previous human conflicts in the history of the world combined. Entire mountain ranges were created as the ground buckled and moved under the strain of the cataclysmic pressure produced by numerous, concentrated atomic explosions. Rivers and oceans around the world were contaminated with the resulting radioactive fallout released by the relatively low-yield nuclear weapons used by all sides, and the climate changed horrifically. All the regions of Earth suffered from a single, permanent season once the initial dust blasted into the atmosphere by the nuclear explosions had settled – a scorching, radioactive desert summer. Many American citizens did not heed the air raid sirens on October 23, 2077, believing them to be signaling just another drill. The Vaults sealed in their inhabitants as Earth burned in atomic fire. A few citizens took shelter where they could: sewers, subway stations, drainage centers, Pulowski Preservation shelters, the National Guard depot. However, without a very strong outer shield of dense metal or rock to defend them from both the heat and kinetic shockwave of the nuclear blasts, few civilians survived the full-out nuclear exchange. Some who were exposed to high levels of radiation became ghouls, and some of these ghouls, in turn, formed their own communities. Those who survived the nuclear exchange would form the basis for the brutal civilization that existed for the next 20 years until the first Vaults reopened. Despite the global destruction caused by the war, many areas remained habitable, with low and tolerable levels of radioactive fallout. The surviving humans were in some parts of Earth able to continue living in the ruins of the pre-War civilization, establishing new communities and even small cities. Some major global cities were not completely destroyed by the explosions because of their relatively low explosive yields, and cities such as Washington, D.C. even managed to maintain intact buildings, despite relatively close detonations. Around a week after the initial nuclear explosions, rain started to fall; however, none of it was drinkable. The rain was black; tainted with soot, ash, radioactive elements produced by the nuclear explosions, and various other contaminants produced by nuclear weapons. This rain marked the start of the terrible fallout that marked the true, permanent destruction caused by the Great War. The rain lasted four long days, killing thousands of species that had survived the initial destruction of the bombs, be they animals, plants, or microorganisms. Those few living things – human, animal, or plant – that survived after the rain ended were left to live in the now-barren wasteland that had spread across Earth, where nearly all pre-War plant life had died either in the initial explosions or from the intense radiation produced by the fallout. ----------------- After a long 20 years, the first vaults began to open. As the survivors filed out into the wastelands with their Garden of Eden Creation Kits, praising Vault-Tec for their survival, they set out to create a new civilization. To restore the American dream, as the propaganda films that had been projected within their vaults had insisted. Some went on to aid the savage survivors on the surface and create communities out of the ruins of the world that they had left behind; others established their own towns and oases in the great desert of radiation and death that the world now was. And so humanity had survived to live another age. But not an age of iron or bronze, or of culture or information, but in an Age of Radiation and despair. One generation after the first vault dwellers have left their vaults, in the year 2120, the world has begun to evolve into quite a unique and different place, filled with the descendants of the survivors of the bombs and the vault dwellers alike, as well as... other things, in the wastes, such as ghouls and mutants. But which towns and factions will thrive in this new world, and which will die off? Who's to know. All that is known for sure is that war... ...war never changes. =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= OOC: This is a Fallout nations/factions FRP, of course. However, there are a number of key differences in which this FRP deviates from other Fallout RPs. In this FRP, each player shall create their own unique factions and nations. This is meant to be an alternate universe within Fallout in which anything is plausible, and any nation or faction can be formed. Though you may play an existing faction in Fallout, I would encourage you to try to do something new and original. To note, much of the gameplay in this FRP will revolve around fighting over resources, and exploring/scavenging in order to obtain them, so keep this in mind. Other than this, there really isn’t any other set goal than to maintain Now, for some rules: Please, do not apply as the Brotherhood of Steel or as the Enclave as a whole. I consider these factions to simply be too OP to be handled by a single player. Besides, I wish to encourage originality and creativity in this scenario. However, I would be willing to accept a very limited number of branches of these organizations as playable, though I'll only allow players to play these branches in proportion to the number of players already playing. You will have to talk to me in PMs or over Skype if interested though. Do not make your faction/nation OP; you may begin with up to three counties on the map controlled by an individual city or town if playing a settled state/tribe, or you may start with a single county to act as your base if you're a faction (though you may later extend your influence over more towns and territory or become a settled state in RP if you wish), or if you're nomadic/unlanded you may have no land at all and may just move from place to place which is perfectly fine as well. DO NOT POWERGAME YOUR ACCESSIBLE TECHNOLOGY. You begin with, at the most, simple weapons such as pistols, shotguns, baseball bats, swords, spears, and the likes, though you may have different starting weaponry depending upon your state/faction's lore. You may improve your technology through exploration/scavenging, or through researching, if applicable. For research times, ask a moderator and they will give you a number of posts MADE BY OTHER PEOPLE that must have passed before your technology is complete. All basic background Fallout lore is valid (G.E.C.Ks, Vaults, Radscorpions, Mutants, Ghouls, etc.); however, no faction or group that was formed after the year 2120 would exist, at least as of yet, so keep this in mind when making your app. Exploration will be a major part of gameplay in Fallout: EDL. You may explore up to 4 adjacent counties per 10 posts; when exploring, tag your exploration actions with a ((MOD PLEASE)), and a moderator will give you details of what you find in the counties being explored in their next mod post. Since resources are scarce in this post-apocalyptic world, you must explain how you complete an action by citing which resources you use to accomplish what task. For example, if I were a post-apocalyptic Michigan, I would have to cite scavenging cars from the ruins of Detroit, after RPly finding the ruins of Detroit, to explain how I got the metal required to arm my army/guard force/levy/tribe with a bunch of steel shields. Common sense should also be heeded during this FRP, or else a moderator may speak to you about powergaming or force your actions to fail. Come on guys, tribals should not be researching laser technology when they barely know how grow crops in the wastes... We do have a Skype chat; if you wish to join it, state so in your application. However, joining is not required by any means; it just helps to keep one in touch with the moderators and with the rest of your fellow FRPers. To train new soldiers, build new towns or facilities, research new technologies, or do any other tedious action, you must ask for a moderator in your posts with a tagged ((MOD PLEASE)) to get a specific number of posts that must pass before these actions come to completion. Single player characters may be permitted in the future, but not yet. I would rather the FRP become solidified before I allow people to play non nations/factions. Standard forum rules apply; be RESPECTFUL to your fellow player OOCly, and remember that it’s all just a game. For fun, eh? The Kingdom of France All across Eastern France, the Crown Levies of King Louis the VII and the levies of the counties of Champagne, Burgundy, Bourges, Blois, Flanders, and those of the Dutchy of Toulouse, and whatever other French levies are readily available, now begin to rally into two parts: L'Armee de Sud, consisting of the Toulousian levies which rally near the city of Albi, and L'Armee du Nord in the rest of France, which rallies near the city of Paris, for the inevitable war that lies beyond the horizon. Having a head start at the rallying process, it is likely that the French levies would have more time to train than their English counterparts. ((Levy Numbers Please)) From an unnamed source, the crown of France has been provided with a large sum of money, which is used to buy weapons and armor for the French levies, as well as hire a number of mercenaries to fight alongside French soldiers and knights. ((Mod Please for Reasonable Merc Numbers)) Castile is called upon to honor their alliance with France and assist them in the coming war! Messengers deliver a letter addressed to the Iberian Kingdoms,. It reads: "To the most noble Christian Kings and Lords of Iberia, A great threat looms just beyond your borders to the North! The English King Henry and his harlot prepare to make war with the forces of the Crown of France. I come to ask you today, 'What do you think would happen if France were to fall'? I shall tell you what would happen. If France were to fall, England would almost certainly begin to target it's weaker neighbors. Including yourselves, and the Holy Roman states. And that is almost certainly the goal of the English in fighting this war. Do not be fooled by Henry's claims! This war is about English supremacy on the mainland, and the dangers it creates for us! I urge you to aid France in this war, for in doing so, you aid yourselves. You already have a great threat to the south; would you rather have a second one in the North? For that is what a weakened France will bring about." ------------ Meanwhile, in the court of the Holy Roman Emperor, the French ambassador finalizes an agreement with the Emperor Frederick. The agreement entails an alliance between the Holy Roman Emperor and Duke of Swabia, and the French Crown. A betrothal is also to be made as soon as possible between the two families, as soon as the Emperor produces children of his own. As soon as the agreement is signed, France calls Swabia and whatever allies that wish to assist them to war to aid their fight against the English. ----------- As the ambassador returns from Leinster, he vehemently complains about the barbarity of the Irish inhabitants of the land to the French King! However, Louis and his court simply burst into laugher at hearing of his experiences, much to Jean Pierre's displeasure. After dying down, Louis promises not to send him to Leinster again, and congratulates him on a job well done. The Irish tribal King's message had been taken well by the Crown, and Louis is well pleased.

THE KINGDOM OF FRANCE France had been experiencing great turbulence over the past few years with the English gains in the west. Over half the country had been taken by the invaders, and things looked dismal. As representatives of the remaining nobility in Paris tried to advise the King on what to do, things began to look even more dismal as permanent peace treaty negotiations went poorly with the English. King Louis the VII had been content to entertain the notion of marrying his daughter off to Henry the Younger, and had even betrothed her to him 2 years before, but he was not content with the prospect of forking over the Duchy of Toulouse to the English King. This was unacceptable for the French loyalists, and for the King himself. Unless the English extended a far better offer of peace to the French monarchy, the treaty that had been in the works for almost two years now would not be signed. And the worst would have to be expected... Heralds meanwhile deliver messages to the peasants all across France, spreading wild rumors of severe barbarism committed by English soldiers in the past. They warn of unchristianly methods of torture, the bodily mutilation of men, women, and children alike, agricultural ruin following them in their wake, and extreme bloodlust! They also warn of the complete and utter destruction of the Franks and of France itself should the English catch them off guard. The heralds then urge male peasants of fighting age to enlist in their local levies, and to help defend France and their King should the English attack. The King and his lords begin the process of preparing to rally their levies and their knights, fearing the worst as they prepare to defend France from a possible English invasion of Toulouse. Meanwhile, as per their previous marital bonds, the strong alliance between Castile and France is reaffirmed, even as the funeral of Constance of Castile, Queen of France, is underway. Much of France mourns the passing of Constance, who was much loved within the land... News of the Almohad Sultanate's raising of an army also slowly spreads to France, and although not of immediate threat to France, the monarchy intends to keep a close eye on the situation in the south. Ambassadors are also sent to the court of the Holy Roman Emperor, intending to discuss a possible alliance between the two realms (Or possibly even between France and Swabia itself), and to the merchant republic of Genoa to discuss the signing of a trade agreement. ((Discussions shall take place in RP PMs.)) An observing ambassador is also sent to the court of the Irish King of Leinster. The abundant harvest is well-celebrated in Eastern France, and many praises to God are sung. It was no coincidence that Western France had done so poorly, and Eastern France had done so well! The House of Capet was truly ordained by God to rule the realm! A number of churches are refurbished to celebrate this great blessing. ((If I forgot anything, I'll address it tomorrow in a new post, since editing is unreliable. :/))

Forum Name: AndrewTech Skype Name: You've got it already Realm/Holding (Please research your choice so that you actually know how to play it): The Kingdom of France Interesting Fact about your Realm: In France, during the later part of the 12th century, many of the local fiefs of France were controlled by a series of smaller lords rather than larger ones. Also, France contained a large diversity of climates, and therefore slightly different subcultures during the middle ages, as it stretched from the English Channel to the Medditerrainian. Dynasty: The House of Capet Did you read the rules: Yes. Brief Rp paragraph to get a feel for how well you can rp said nation: http://www.peterpopken.com/images/large_london.jpg France had suffered a series of major defeats at the hands of the English. It was a disgrace. The monarchy had never looked so ridiculous, so disgraceful... But Louis the VII, King of the Lands of France, as he watched the city of Reims from the top of the castle balcony, had silently repeated the vow that he gave to his now-dead wife, Constance of Castile, in his new seat of power that he would not let the English destroy France's might. No. The English could not possibly hold onto the lands that they had taken. Their forces had been stretched too thin, and it was all but certain that the lords in England would become unhappy very quickly. Of course, Eleanor of Aquitaine had been the beginning of his troubles. Who would have known that their annulment would have lead to such a disaster? No matter. Henry the II and his harlot would soon pay... For God was on his side, just as he had been during his crusade, and when God was on one's side? One could not lose. Yes... France... France, would rise again. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fe/Louis_VII_of_France.jpg

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF WINDSORIA As King George the XXII recovered from his deadly illness, he began to read the papers for the first time in months. As he flipped through the Lauria Tribune, he read about the invention of talkie television, the launching of the HMS Triumphant carrier zeppelin, and... ...the formation of the Confederation. This angered the King immensely, an action he disapproved of. How could the duke do this to he and his nation...? On top of this, the European control of the western ocean and southern Waelicia was unacceptible in his eyes. And so, with a few private phone calls from his bed chamber in the Royal Palace, almost every Windsorian and many Federation generals and admirals pledged their loyalties to the King, and began to converge on Lauria to overthrow the Lord Regent, his cronies, and his illegitimate rule. What few soldiers that refuse to join the Royalists are easily overpowered as they sweep through the city's streets, and the Lord Regent and his supporters are quickly beheaded via the guillotine, a Neo-Frankan invention. With the King now in control of the Confederation, an edict is issued: *UNROLL TO READ:* And so, with the decree, the confederation was no more, and Windsoria had shown to the world that it did not subjugate its allies like it would it's enemies under the watch of a Windsor. Windsoria and the European Federation are now two separate states once more. ====================================== Elections are held in the Assembly, filling its chairs with nationalistic representatives and replacing the Confederationists. During this time, the King assumes High Crown Authority, managing the nation as its legislative body is reformed. He personally sees to the restoration of the body as a device of the nobility and of the common people. Because of the King's actions in dissolving the widely unpopular confederation and in the reformation of the Assembly, he and his family are much loved across Planicia and Britannia. On "Kingdom Day", a holiday celebrating nationalistic sentiments across the Britannic Isles, citizens parade through the streets waving signs and sigil flags that read, "GOD BLESS THE KING". =================================== Meanwhile, troops have nearly withdrawn from Coornwal and Weelton, but the last few hundred remain stationed in the cities on the islands with tensions heating between Windsoria and Eeyerland. A committie is established in the Assembly to investigate the reports of Eeyerish ships raiding settlements along the coast of North Amerigo whilst flying the Windsorian flag. Eeyerland is told to cease their activities, clearly in violation of international law, or to risk trade, diplomatic, and possibly military repercussions. Speaking of Amerigo, it now seemed that three nations were competing to own the eastern coast of the continent... Windsoria, Eeyerland, and Andor had all sent ships to colonize this part of the world, and tensions were becoming tight. Therefore, EYERLAND and ANDOR are invited to send delegates to a conference in Devon on the Island of Coorwal in order to divide Eastern Amerigo between the three powers peaceably, and to create a state of coexistence between the three nations in this part of the world. In the meantime, Windsoria would not recognize any colonial settlements made in Amerigo by either nation until the conference had been successfully held. ================================ Windsoria now begins to work on a weapon to deploy against their enemies. inventions will cost $10,000 to ‘fund.’ Below is the application. Invention Type (Military/Civilian/Etc): Military with possible Civilian execution system Invention Name: Poisoned Gas Inventor: Ernest Galloway Description (At least a DETAILED paragraph): Ernest Galloway, a government chemist working on creating an alternative to the current Federation execution system of the guillotine, discovered a formula to a gas that would slowly choke mice to death in a confined, airtight box. He also noticed that effects included the swelling of skin, dizziness, and light headedness. The military soon took notice, and asked Ernest to replicate the gas for usage in the army, as well as develop a device that could filter the gasses from the air for soldiers. Although this particular gas will not inherently kill in an open area, it will hurt uncovered skin, distract soldiers from a fight, cause pain, and will possibly cause breathing issues for veterans if left untreated. Page time to invent: 6 Pages Concept Image(s): -- Reminder that Inventions cost 10,000 upfront to Fund Poisoned gas would act as an excellent weapon to deploy against the armies of their enemies, although lightweight gas masks could be easily made by using existing science. However, without said masks, the gas would act as a distraction in combat, and this could turn the tide of a battle in Windsoria's favor. Research continues on the gas, and is made under the utmost secrecy. =============================== Meanwhile, desperately needed wealth (50,000 Sterlings) is stored in reserves and spent to create new improvements. 12,500 of the said sterlings are used to create new ships. 5 new destroyers are to be introduced into the Royal Navy, state of the art warships. The rest are kept in reserve for to build factories and other national improvements when the time comes. The accumulated wealth is also used to create trading posts between Angscot Island and Bruusles, a trading gateway in the north of Evropa that was amongst Britannia's northern possessions on the mainland, Campestribus, and Transmedia, costing 6,000 Sterlings in all. Windsoria also requests political talks and a trading pact with Eiichi through the port at the southeast of Europa, an island nation with similar beliefs to their own, and perhaps engage in a research exchange. A delegation is sent via zeppelin to speak to the Eiichians about this matter. As to the Kingdom of the Gate, Windsoria would ignore these people and leave them in peace so long as they do not disturb their trading routes nor attack their colonial possessions in Northern Evropa. Notably, Windsoria in hopes of improving relations with the Empire of Oceanus agrees to attempt to put some limits on whale hunting. The rare stonewhal ((Europan Moon space whales released into the wild before Nightfall)) and the narwhal, along with other endangered species, are protected via a law enacted by the Assembly, allowing only for the hunting of thriving species, and even then only seasonally so as to allow them to reproduce and maintain their numbers. Windsoria also attempts to take control of the Island of Sveedin to their east and establish lumber and trapping colonies on the tundra island, moving colonists and 15,000 of the troops recalled from Coornwal and Walton to attempt to colonize the island and scout it. THE UNITED KINGDOM OF WINDSORIA "I agree completely!" The general addresses the translator as a cannonball soars overhead, crashing into the beachhead. The marine general quickly consults with his officers, and within a few moments, they signal the fleet out at sea and a naval bombardment of the hills on which the cannons are stationed begins. As the powerful naval guns open fire on the hills, the enemy soldiers would most likely be forced to cease bombardment temporarily and take cover. This would allow for the marines to fix bayonets, reorganize, and quickly charge the hilltops in order to overtake the artillery. Upon reaching the hilltops, the submachine guns of the Windsorian marines, in addition to their quick-reloading bolt action rifles with clips, would prove deadly at close range. If the Windsorians succeeded in their attempt to take the hills surrounding the beachhead, then they would move quickly to establish Maxim Gun nests and set up artillery of their own so as to secure the beachhead as a base of operations, which would prove devastating to any Waelician army that attempted to perform a counter-assault on the marines. The Windsorians would then wait for the next part of their plan to be set into motion, as their fleet would now begin to search out the small village from which the fishermen came. Upon finding it, the ships would pull back a safe distance away from the cannons, and would begin to bombard the village, fully intending to make an example out of it and turn it to rubble. Finally, the Windsorians' new squadron of biplanes would attempt to locate another small village on the north coast and would begin to drop bombs on it, as well as strafe the said village with their machine guns, just to finish striking fear into the hards of the savages who had attacked them. After doing so, the planes would locate yet another village in Waelicia, and drop propaganda canisters there before returning home. The messages would read, in Waelic: "CITIZENS OF WAELICIA: Throw down your arms now, and you shall be treated fairly. Your King shall be made a vassal of our own. You shall be able to keep part of your lands to do as you wish under the United Kingdom. However, if you do not, then the fires of heaven shall be unleashed upon you." And thus, the Waelic Wars had begun. ---------------------------- Meanwhile, back home, a new invention is commissioned: Invention Type (Military/Civilian/Etc): Military Invention Name: The Anti Aircraft Gun Inventor: Gordon Belfast Description (At least a DETAILED paragraph): With new arial fighters being constructed by the Oceanians, Amerigans, and Eeyerish, the Windsorians have decided to create weaponry to defend themselves from the new sorts of arial warfare that they're sure to face in the future. Therefore a new breed of artillery weaponry was to be constructed: anti-aircraft guns. Instead of simply using artillery aimed towards the sky, the anti-aircraft guns would be specialized purely to shoot down planes. There would be two subtypes of the guns: machine gun cannons would take down planes much more easily than maxim guns, and the new breed of artillery wouldn't be strained in it's defense of the skies. All in all, it is hoped that these anti-aircraft guns will help to defend the United Kingdom of Windsoria and the Concordant from harm. Page time to invent: 4 Concept Image(s): -- Reminder that Inventions cost 10,000 upfront to Fund A stock exchange is also ordered to be constructed in Lauria, now regulating investments across the United Kingdom of Windsoria. In addition to this, an agreement has been signed with Eeyerland. Both nations promise nonaggression and mutual defense to each other in the event that the Brittanic Isles are invaded by foreigners. In addition to this, the Windsorians promise to remove their troops from the newly conquered islands (although with some minor resistance from the natives) of Coornwal and Weelton within the next year and not station any ships on those islands, and the colonies on the island would be made neutral and open to both nations. However, the marines would slowly withdraw, and would ensure that the colonies are successfully established and able to defend themselves with their own Windo-Eyerish peacekeeping/guard forces as they vacate the islands. Also, the zeppelin carrier research has been completed, and the King is sick, and is bedridden though doctors expect George the XXII to make a full recovery in a matter of months. The Lord Chancillor takes charge during his illness. MANPOWER: 200,000 (65,000 deployed with unknown casualties) MONEY: 5,000 Sterlings (5k paid back by the Federation)

MODERATOR EVENT As the soldiers and navy of the Gallipigos swarm over the Central Pacific Islands, they encounter a number of primitive islanders on the outlying islands in the chain. Many are armed with nothing more than stone or shell-tipped spears and thatched shields, certainly no match for the modern infantry and naval guns; however, they present them with gifts of fruit and beads as they land on the island, seeming rather unhostile and welcoming towards the explorers... However, they find something completely unexpected upon landing upon the beach head of the main island: A medieval society of islanders, armed with iron armor, swords, lances, horses, and the likes. They speak a strange language unlike any they've heard before, and appear to worship a series of primitive island gods representing the seasons, the sun, and the moon. You find a group of them fishing peaceably. Upon finding out that they speak a very rough dialect of Amerigo English, the translator manages to convince the fishing party to take the expedition to their city. A delegation waving the flag of their tiny island kingdom comes out to meet the exploring party, greeting them in a very hard to understand dialect of the English language: "Wulcome. Who yoo, und where come frumi?"

QUICK RESPONSE POST "Yes yes, good morning old sport." Sir Isaac Birmingham, the general in charge of the expedition, goes to shake the man's hand and then clear his throat as the powerful steamships float out at sea and the transports unload. "I come with an edict from a powerful land from afar known as the United Kingdom of Windsoria. You may have heard of us, for hundreds of years ago we were not too distant from each other. However, now I am afraid that King George the XXI your rightful King and Emperor, may the sun never set on his glory, has declared that you must come under our rule, under the jurisdiction of the Assembly of the United Kingdom and of course, it's King, so that our crowded island might become a little less crowded and so that you might be protected from the other nations beyond the sea. Take this edict to your ruler. If he agrees to it, your people shall be given their own reserves of the island as a vassal of the United Kingdom, and you will be allowed to govern yourselves as you see fit. You will also be given access to extraordinary new medicines and technologies, and will be linked to the rest of the world, your age of isolation ended. However, if you do not peaceably come under our rule as vassals, then I am afraid that we will be forced to wage a war with your people over the possession of our rightful territory. And trust me when I say that we /will/ win, with our great reserves of manpower and almost unimaginable technologies." The general offers him the edict scroll, his two pith helmeted, red tuniced, iron chest plated guards standing menacingly at attention with their strange repeating weapons and the marines continue to unload. ((equivalent to Tommy guns))

THE UNITED KINGDOM OF WINDSORIA In the warm summer weather of Campestribus, the leaders of the three major nations of Western Evropa had met in the Campestrian capital city of Valenza to discuss foreign relations and how to repair them. However, what had arisen from the conference had been totally unexpected by all parties. "The Three", as they were called, had masterfully made reparations for the devastating Triple War of old, and had entered their nations into a new alliance: The Central Concordant. THE CENTRAL CONCORDANT CHARTER: And so, with the new treaty-charter signed, the end of an era had been brought about, and a new one had begun. One where Western Evropa would work together to secure their borders, their assets, and their cultures in the new electrical world. One where past differences had been resolved, and age-old conflicts forgotten. One where the descendants of the Imperium would once again work together to achieve their goals. ================================= Meanwhile, the government in Lauria awaits news from the expedition to Waelicia. ((MOD PLEASE)) In addition to awaiting news from Waelicia, the King has been emboldened by Campestribus and the Federation's expansionism to take even greater steps in securing new lands for his people. Further expansionism is ordered, and a number of civilian colonists along with military escorts of 10,000 men each embark across the western Northern Sea to create two colonies on the supposedly uninhabited islands of Coornwal and Weelton. If they were to face any resistance from the natives, the military and naval escorts would be ordered to shell the beaches from the sea and invade the islands to bring them under Windsorian control. ((MOD PLEASE)) The Windsorians also dispatch a further 30,000 troops to the northern coast of mainland Evropa, along with colonists, in order to establish trading cities along the coast and stake a claim for the Windsorians in Western Evropa. ((MOD PLEASE)) =========================== Finally, in diplomatic affairs, Windsoria reaches out to the Transmedian Republic to request a trading pact between their two nations. Windsoria also sends delgations via zeppelin to the Republic of Andor and the Faalklind Islands to discuss trading pacts and possibly other political ties such as naval alliances and possible research exchanges. Also, the Trading Hubs and Airplane Factory have been completed, and both are put to work at fulfilling their purposes. MANPOWER: 200,000 (65,000 Deployed) MONEY: 5,000 Sterlings

The Isles of Eiichi have been renowned for being almost blessed; the land was fertile, and the massive, singular mountain in the middle of its largest island was taken as a sign from their gods of the center of the world. A man, General Izayi Ten Wei, was driving in his Takaya Wave from his mansion to the Great Palace. The House of Izayi was one of the Heavenly Chi Houses, the governing body of the Empire, a chain of large islands under complete military dominance. The 7 houses were said to have descended from various Eiichian (pronounced Ay-chi-yan) gods, with the House of Yamaterasu the undisputed rulers. He had black hair, brown eyes, and very lightly tanned skin, instantly making him at least upper class. Most inhabitants have the same black hair and brown eyes, but are incredibly tanned. Those that are pale almost seem to be a different race from the others, with sophistication lost on the "Second Class". The Empire of Eiichi had said to have been in existence since before the year 1 AN, when the House Yamaterasu first dominated the main island south of Mont Feiichi. It quickly expanded to take over the other Eiichian nation-states, and history has solid proof that it united the continent in 135 AN. In the following years, the conquered leaders' houses and House Yamaterasu became the Heavenly Chi, with almost independence-level control over their individual demesnes. What could best be described as the Eiichi Civil War began in 322 AN, when the Inako and Hiruta of Seinu and Keinu went to war over dominance of the island. For forty years, 6 of the 7 fought each other in blood baths across the islands, and when it was decided the infighting was enough, Yamaterasu took huge amounts of power from the Houses, becoming undisputed now both by divine right and it being now more powerful than the others combined. Since then, peace has been held on the islands except for the occasional barbarian raid from Ruasia. The nation has stayed on par with the others around the world, with trade going to and from the islands and its neighbors. The military of Eiichi, centered in "bloodshed", would adopt a flag of a red circle on white, the inverse of the empire's white circle surrounded by stars numbering the same as the amount of noble houses. At its head was Emperor Yamaterasu Teiko, a 16 year old woman that had to appear as a man in front of her people - since the advent of "globalization" and new merchanting between Eiichi and nearby harbors, the empire was unstable, and if another power found out her gender, a war could begin. To reap the benefits of international trade, a national trade hub begins construction (-25000 gold). The manpower of Eiichi is spread out among the empire's various cities, with 20,000 in each city and the capital holding 80,000. That means that while its entire military manpower is trained, the government could only field 80,000-120,000 in an offensive war. To the north, Eiichi fisherman often saw a clean, beautiful coastline. As plans have been in place for years to leave the islands themselves, colonists begin to move en masse to the coastline, with 20,000 troops to subdue and assimilate any small towns found there. Though they profess they don't believe at all in what the Olympians and Duchy of Fenris do, the Empire of Eiichi offers mutual friendship pacts to both. By starting the torpedo's engine with compressed air, and then gradually switching to pure oxygen, they are able to overcome the problem of explosions which had hampered it before. To conceal the use of pure oxygen from the ship's crew and any potential enemy, the oxygen tank was named the secondary air tank. The Type 93 has a maximum range of 40 km (21.6 nmi; 24.9 mi) at 38 knots (70 km/h; 44 mph) with a 490 kg (1,080 lb) high explosive warhead. THE UNITED KINGDOM OF WINDSORIA As King George the XXI stood on the balcony of the Imperial Palace in Londinium, he began to think about his nation and how he would guide it in the days to come. Windsoria had always been a proud land, full of hard workers, scientists, soldiers, idealists, and traders alike. The four isles of Windsoria (Angscot, Mann, Halley, and Greenwich) had been united under the Royal House of Windsor almost 1200 years earlier, forming not only a Kingdom, but a United Kingdom of islands with similar cultures. Thoughout antiquity, this Kingdom of Islands played a prominent role in Western Evropa's history and development, alongside the nations of Campestribus and the Union. The Legend of the Imperium had been a very well-respected and widely believed myth throughout the regions of Planicia and Britannia, further adding to the pride of the Windsorian people. They were (supposedly) the heirs to a great empire that, they claimed, had once covered almost a third of the world. The fact that many of the world's nations shared a culture very similar to their own helped to bolster this belief. But now, as Windsoria became overcrowded with people, the Kingdom had begun to outgrow its territory. Expansion was needed, as well as new resources to support the Kingdom's population. Therefore, Windsoria begins to explore some of the surrounding islands, intending to make contact with their local populations if need be. A small squadron of steamships is dispatched, along with a detachment of 7,500 Marines to the Island of Waelicia southeast of the largest island in Britannia, Angscot. The Island had remained undisturbed for many hundreds of years, and Windsorian intelligence lacks knowledge of what's on the island. However, through force or diplomacy, the King is intent on dragging the island into the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, the King gives a speech over national radio about the importance of technology, diplomacy, and expansion: "My people, Today I address you over the wireless to explain the importance of what your government is doing, and I urge you for your support in accomplishing it's goals. Recently, we have sent an expedition to the Island of Waelicia, a land of uncertainty and isolation, in order to attempt to bring it into the Kingdom. Mythology states that not only was Britannia once truly united, but it owned up to a third of the world under the guise of a great Imperium known as the British Empire. Quite personally, I believe these myths to be true due to the cultural and linguistic similarities we share with many of the nations of the world, though of course they cannot be proven. We must expand, as our population booms! As our small group of islands become more and more crowded and, eventually, more devoid of resources, we will require more and more land to fulfill our needs. It is best to begin expansion now than to wait until we face this issues not two centimeters in front of our noses! And furthermore, to do this, we must put aside our differences with the Commonwealth. Therefore, I urge you to pressure your Members of the Assembly to accept my policies and my leaderships in the days to come. The Sun Never Sets." ---------------------------------- As the Commonwealth diplomats arrive in Lauria, the capital city of Windsoria on Angscot Island, they are greeted cordially and are allowed to initiate talks concerning an economic alliance assuming that the Commonwealth turns a blind eye towards their expansionism in the Britannic Isles. They would also be willing to discuss a possible research agreement between their two nations. A delegation is also sent to Campestribus, requesting a trading agreement be formed between their two nations, as well as a possible research pact. Windsorian authorities also wish to open trading routes with the Empire of Oceania, whose nation they consider to be a "long lost cousin" to their own, sending a delegation across the Great Ocean via Zeppelin to discuss this matter with the Emperor. They also wish to discuss a possible naval alliance between the Empire and the United Kingdom so that they, together, might rule the seas. -------------------------- The trading ports, meanwhile, in all major coastal cities and in Lauria are to be upgraded and ultra modernized. (SMALL TRADING HUBS UNDER CONSTRUCTION) In Lauria's naval yards, a new sort of naval warship has also received government funding... Invention Type (Military/Civilian/Etc): Military (With possible Civilian/Scientific applications) Invention Name: The Zeppelin Carrier Inventor: Lt. Commander Wilson Grantchester Description (At least a DETAILED paragraph): Ever since the invention of the airplane, the Windsorians have realized it's potential in the field of combat. However, most planes still have a limited range, putting Windsoria's air force at a disadvantage regarding overseas conflicts. But with new technology, it has been hypothesized that an aircraft carrier could easily remedy this predicament. A zeppelin could easily accomplish this task, able to stay in the air for up to two months at a time and easily refuelable from the deck of a ship or at a port. Hence the research and development of this class of ship by the Windsorian government. After talks with the Campestribius government, it may also be decided to make the ship run off of their new whale oil, as well as off of an emergency electric battery if need be in the spirit of mutual cooperation. Page time to invent: 6 Pages Concept Image(s): -- Reminder that Inventions cost 10,000 upfront to Fund A state-of-the-art airplane factory is also scheduled to be constructed in Bathe. Nation Name: The United Kingdom of Windsoria Culture(ie. Latin influence/Asian Influence/Etc.): British Culture Derivative History: The Windsorians have always been a proud people. From the dawn of the new Middle Ages to present day, Windsoria has existed as a Kingdom of four traditional islands: Angscot, Halley, Vanguard, and Mann. Though they've traditionally engaged in wars with the surrounding islands and with the inhabitants of Europa and Planicia, they are currently at peace and have cleaned up all past rivalries and ill opinions of their neighbors. Their religion consists of monotheism, centering around the worship of a single deity known as Salvatore, or as "God", whom the Holy Codex teaches sent his son to Earth break down the barrier that separated humanity from it's Afterlife. It is believed that through good works and through faith in Salvatore and his son, one can achieve Paradise. Their "Grand Temple" consists of a structure built around a large statue of a woman simply known as "The Prophet"; it is believed to possess supernatural powers of some sort, though this has yet to be proven by the Church of Windsoria. Another ancient work known as "The Chronicles" also supposedly describe Ancient Britannia before the founding of Windsoria, and state that inhabitants of Britannia once owned up to a third of the world in the days of old and were great traders, scientists, and warriors, though other nations tend to think that these claims by the Windsorians are hogwash and propaganda, and there are currently no ways to prove these ancient claims of a Britannian Empire. The Windsorians' government is that of a constitutional monarchy made up of an assembly of feudal lords and wealthy commoners. They are lead by a King (or Queen) from the Royal House of Windsor, a family which has ruled Windsoria since time immemorial, hence the nation's name. The King acts as an executive who can veto actions passed by the Assembly (although he can be overridden with a 2/3rds vote) and who commands the military in times of war. Although a small nation, Windsoria is very densely populated, and is envied for it's mastery of naval warfare. As Windsoria rises into the electrical age, their power and prestige continue to increase as they seek to increase their standing on the world stage. Though expansion has not been an issue over the past few millennia, Windsoria might soon change it's policies in the coming days as more and more resources are required for it to maintain it's position on the world stage... THE IMPERIUM BRITANNIA The United Kingdom deploys its off-grid nuclear arsenal, and nukes the capitals of all nations that attack it, in addition to Athens and the capital of America. The Empress and parliament, however, are killed, and the Imperium's forces are in disarray as millions upon millions die in the catastrophe. What Commonwealth forces remain desperately attempt to access the space elevator to escape or make their way to transport ships in an attempt to make a run for Australia and Newfoundland. Australia is command of the remnants forces on Earth. Britannia's financial assets are transferred to the space colonies. In Earth's orbit, Victoria Station sends off it's last batch of passengers, and deploys it's fighter reserves in an attempt to wreak havoc across all non-British possessions around Earth's orbit. Finally, the British ARK in orbit around the planet is launched, setting out towards new horizons and leaving the solar system. Away from humanity and all of it's evil. The Royal Space Fleet and the British Space Ministry rally together, forming the British Star Empire out of the colonial space possessions of the British Empire. The Starlit Crown is placed upon George Windsor's head in Atlantis. But the United Kingdom was lost. And as the sun rose above Hera's world, the sun had finally set on the British Empire. Night had fallen. ((I'm out of the game. Been fun mates. But if Part 2 allows for me to play the British Star Empire or Remnants, then I shall return as them for it.)) -
Dr. Roger Scott curiously looks over the advertisement poster for the Eastin Dia Trading Company. "What an odd name... A glorious name, but an odd name nonetheless." Roger scratches his head beneath his sun helmet, becoming determined to investigate the Eastin Die Trading Company on a personal mission next time he visits Laurel'lin.

SUPPLEMENTARY POST The submarines were successful in their mission, and return to base. Hera would not be using the Eurotunnel in her diabolical plans any time soon. The shield generators installed in the Statues of Britannia across the Empire's major cities are put on standby, prepared to activate at a moment's notice to defend against laser artillery weaponry. Reverse engineering begins on the Welsh vehicle, and Commonwealth High Command continues to solidify defenses along the coasts of Southern Britain. In space, the fleet of ships is hailed by the HMS Jovian Clipper. ((Will Skype RP in a group chat)) A detachment of clone troopers are sent to assist the British soldiers, as well as the Welsh and Peacekeepers in holding their newly captured city. Britain also wins a major victory at Europa, placing the Jewel in the British Crown back in Imperium hands! The British fleet continues to outfit itself with the new drives in orbit around Europa. ((Mod Please for Times)) Finally, research on Project Daedalus and Project Omega begin. -

THE IMPERIUM BRITANNIA America had become a dictatorship, and one of the last of the true democratic nations in the world, Britannia, was under siege. As the United American Empire makes its most treacherous moves, the near 6 million men rallied in the British Isles flock to the southern border, prepared to defend Britain at all costs should what was about to happen next fail. And what happened next was a desperate move by the British to destroy the Eurotunnel and save Britain. "This is the HMS Empress Laura. We are in position." "Fire, Laura, and godspeed." The HMS Empress Laura, Never Setting Sun, and Fortitude, a task force of three British submarines that had been stationed near Scotland to assist in the British blockade of the country, had been dispatched to destroy the eurotunnel before Hera managed to cross through it. As there were few American ships in British waters, if any at all, the submarines would most likely have no problems in firing their payload of torpedoes at the tunnel in order to collapse it. If they were successful in doing this, the forces at the southern border would relax slightly, and return to their defensive positions along the coasts of Britain. If they failed in doing such... ...then the elite SAS would be dispatched to kill the American engineers from both the British and French sides of the tunnel, set the charges, and blow them before Hera managed to cross it. And if that failed, Victoria Station II and the British Battlecruisers near Earth orbit around would attempt to bombard the tunnel from space in order to destroy it. Britannia would not lay down and die so easily. ---------------------------------------- Scotland at long last, under the threat of invasion by Hera, gives up it's rebellion and rejoins the United Kingdom. The Scottish Home Guard and other Scottish Purity Party assets move to assist the British forces in their defense of the Island of Britain, in exchange for full amnesty from the government of the United Kingdom and reunification with the rest of the Imperium. The Kingdom was United, and United they would stand in the face of annihilation. -------------------------------------- Empress Laura Windsor was now very old, roughly in her 80s. She was highly praised across the Empire by all of her peoples, and was to go down in history as the most successful British monarch, surpassing even the glory of Queen Victoria. But she was nearing her final years, no closer to achieving Arnold Schartzneggar's immortality than she had been 20 years previous. Nevertheless, she was still sound in mind, and possessed quite a bit of experience in the field of war. Ever since she had assumed the throne after the death of Emperor William the Wise, Laura had been fighting wars against Britannia's enemies. From the Islamic Caliphate to the Russian Remnants, she protected the Third British Empire from it's enemies abroad. And now she was faced with her biggest challenge yet: ensuring the survival of the Anglo-Saxon race. Laura therefore began to address the British people via television, radio, internet broadcast, and anything that still might work. "Citizens of Britannia... Once again, we face one of our darkest hours in our history. My ancestor, King George the VI, had to give a similar speech at the outbreak of the Second World War, barely managing to make it with his stuttering problem. But now, we are not threatened by oppression under the Nazi regime. We are threatened by extinction. The future of the Anglo-Saxon race and of all the Human races of God's green Earth are in the hands of the brave Australians, Canadians, South Africans, and Britons of the Commonwealth of Nations, as well as the Ethiopians of Africa, the Reclaimers above, the Orion Company, and all of their domains. Should we fail, all that shall be left will be our extraterrestrial colonies abroad, a small portion of Humanity, mere tens of thousands out of billions... Therefore, we cannot fail. We cannot surrender to Hera. If we lose this battle... The sun shall set on the world. Forever." The Empress hangs her head. "We cannot allow that to happen. I will not desert my peoples in Iberia, Normandy, or in the United Kingdom. Nor will I abandon the nations of Australia or Canada, of which I am constitutional monarch. Indeed, I will not abandon any of the free nations of this Earth. We're all part of God's great Human family, and together we must stand against Hera and the traitors. As Winston Churchill once said, 'We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas ("And the great void of space,"), armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God’s good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth ("out of the darkness unto which it has fallen," she inserts,) to the rescue and the liberation of the old.' But surrender, WE SHALL NOT! I will die with the sword in my hand before succumbing to Hera's inhumanity, and I urge all of you to do the same! BECAUSE THE SUN NEVER SETS!" The crowd repeats the iconic phrase, obviously energized by their monarch's speech. They are ecstatic, and many attempt to join the Home Guard and take up military stockpiles to help bolster the huge forces already rallied. ----------------------------------- As the American units in Britannia had decided to defect, their service in defending the British Isles is gladly accepted. However, they are told that they will likely be serving near or on the front lines. Their loyalties are still in question, and the British generals would hate to have their armed forces sandwiched between two hostile groups. At least that way if the turncoat Americans turned again, they could be easily mowed down by the British before they did any real harm. As for Iberia, the Americans had removed the Iberian Royal Army and Home Guard. This had presented a challenge to Commonwealth High Command, but luckily, they still had troops to spare in another part of the Empire... Gibraltar and Morocco still had a number of British troops deployed within their borders, roughly 150,000 that had remained to secure the borders of these provinces. However, the battle would be hopeless. Although 50,000 valiantly fight to defend the Iberians from harm and hold the Americans off, the rest decide that it's best to defend the cities of Gibraltar and Tangiers, and hold back to fortify some of the most strategically fortified and defended positions in the world. Jewish Cyprus is abandoned to it's fate as 10,000 more marines and it's defensive fleet withdraw to assist the defensive forces in Iberia, as well as to protect the Suez Canal in Caliphate Egypt. In Canada, veteran Imperial Newfoundland Regiment army officers secretly attempt to advise and assist the Canadians in defending against the massive army approaching their borders. Of course, the Canadians had been much, much better prepared for the attack than they had been the first time, and there was at least sure to be a fight. The 50,000 Newfoundland soldiers and assets prepare to assist the Canadians if the fight gets desperate enough. However, for now, they simply dig in and prepare for the worst as they fortify the island. British ships had been freed up from Scotland's reunification. Therefore, a small British fleet prepares to join the Argentines and sizable Falklands Defense Forces in defending the Falklands from invasion as they set sail from the United Kingdom. Another small fleet attempts to cause trouble for the Americans as their small task forces move across the mediterranean. Notably, any reinforcements that hadn't entered the Mediterranean Sea before betraying Britannia would be attacked with Surface-to-Sea Missiles and LIONs at Gibraltar and Suez if they dared to attempt to enter Mediterranean waters. However, the majority of their naval forces retreat (or stay in) the United Kingdom, escorting convoys from Africa, Sweden, and Australia, and preparing for their defense of the British Isles once the American and Greek navies turn their attention to doing such. Naval and military assistance is pleaded from anyone who would lease such to Britannia. Meanwhile, in the Indian Ocean Territory, British troops fight American troops as they struggle over the petty islands in the area. Forces from Hong Kong prepare to assist if need be. ------------------------ Countless British and Iberian citizens begin to flee to the extraterrestrial colonies in panic. Quantum warp drive has been researched and achieved, and Britannia begins to outfit it's extraterrestrial fleet with these new devices. ((Mod Please)) Finally, Project Lazarus, which had been secretly started a year before, continues, and the BSF prepares to embark from Europa and attack American possessions as soon as the battle has been won. Also, at Mars, British fighters, LIONs, and missile launchers attempt to knock the American space station out of their trajectory should it seem that the station is heading towards Utopia Planeta or the allied Orion Mars Colony, in hopes of preventing the destruction of very valuable space possessions. A nuclear ICBM is also prepared to strike at Hera, which had been kept off of the grid along with the rest of the British nuclear arsenal. The British are ready to fire this powerful weapon at a moment's notice. ((Anything I forgot I'll try to have an ally post about. I'm currently preoccupied heavily this week and my wifi is terrible, so I'll be unable to post except at very rare intervals. Therefore I'll probably be unable to make a post like this for quite a few days. I'd appreciate it if you showed understanding and patience, those that Britannia is currently in conflict with. Anything I forgot in this post will be edited in in the morning. Thank you in advance.))
