In a tent there lived an ample, rural zombie named John Bathwater. Not an evil industrial, crowded tent, filled with toast and a sweltering smell, nor yet a pointy, warped, wobbly tent with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a zombie-tent, and that means shelter.

One day, after a troubling visit from the wizard Owin Walchelim, John leaves her tent and sets out in search of three sensational trousers. A quest undertaken in the company of youths, giants and spotty youths....
