  1. I didn't know that the Kha had mining skills superior to humans in particular. It would be much easier to be 'content' if this issue did not so directly effect me.
  2. Fair enough, I guess, but this does leave a bad taste in my mouth.
  3. It doesn't seem like the last battle was won due to an overwhelming iron disproportion or anything. The opposing force just kind of got smashed, even though both sides were fully equipped with gear.
  4. There's ways to 'ICly' fix it. "You wouldn't be able to get on that boat to raid us!" "The Kha islands can't be invaded because of the thick jungle!" "Metzili saves the Kha!" ... Y'know, like the shield that got put up over malinor once. And... Wait. You're saying that because Oren doesn't lose wars, it's OK to totally deprive them of iron mines so they (hopefully) lose a war? Last time I checked, it wasn't because of some kind of total deprivation of iron that the dwarven alliance lost that last battle.
  5. Too bad that's going to be OOCly blocked. I like how one side of the ongoing war gets 100% of the new iron mines. Balance.
  6. Actually, a quick google search on 'Volcano mining operation' only brings to results a mining operation based on sulphr... And also, total human mountain ranges: 1. Abresi/Crownlands (Lots of mountain here surrounding the Capital) 2. Furnestock (Plenty of mountain) 3. Kaedrin (Mountain behind the Rose keep) 4. Hansetian mountains (World's biggest) 5. Mountains/ridge surrounding Green County It's... really something remarkable that none of these mountains have any iron from an RP perspective.
  7. The Spanish conquistadors also come to mind. Just saying, as we don't have machine guns and stuff like that.
  8. Establishing trade with a group we're at war with and who we don't like and vice-versa... I'm pretty sure this might actually end up having an undesirable effect, like I keep telling you. >_> Anyway, I'm glad to here that we're getting shiny hardened clay. Will clay swords and armor be an equipment option? Can I dye it pink? Should we go ahead and rip out wool from our walls and replace it with said clay?
  9. I'm not Mirtok m8. Back on topic: Iron is monopolized now by one of the smallest playerbases and a playerbase in direct opposition to another. And the biggest playerbase gets a total of: Clay (No one cares) Coal (Charcoal is a thing) Redstone (Yay, I guess.) The dwarves got a sweet deal. I'd be totally fine if they had a unique goal mine, but giving them 3/4 useful resources does not bode well when humanity gets borderline nothing good.
  10. Come at me, bro. I'm waiting on one thing to ruin the antag's day.
  11. Way to disregard what I told you about iron mines completely and stuff. It's not like we now have a borderline useless mine. You think people will actually BUY coal? You can make charcoal. If you make iron mines available to only 2 races, you're going to have a bad time. Iron is way too important to be limited. Other resources? Yea sure. Not iron. If its just going to be 2-3 pieces, it is not worth the trip. The way to create an economy is not by strangling the supply. You are currently only guaranteeing that the rich get richer by making it so groups with iron already are the only groups who can get iron easily as iron is 1. So expensive or 2. So stupid hard to get by the mines.
  12. To be honest... I really am not a fan of this system. I could care less about cosmetic resources; the idea is nice, but I am far more interested in having MORE iron mines and coal mines. The price of iron is skyrocketing and it needs to drop. This idea of public iron mines is not cutting it for me. Only one or two iron mines should be in public territory. The other ones should be under the dominion of a nation, and there should be plenty of them. Example: Dwarves: The dwarves should have a lot of iron and coal mines; somewhat in the vicinity of 4 of each spread throughout the entire kingdom. Humans: Humans are pretty populous, and we need a lot of resources. I suggest 3 iron and coal mines in areas where it makes RP sense. Kaedrin - There's a mountain range, there would be at least some iron! Furnestock - Same thing Hanseti - WORLD'S -LARGEST- mountain range. You would think there would be SOME iron Malinor - Malinor is not as segregated as the other races, so it's not really necessary to have so many iron mines for them. 2 should do it. Kha - lower playerbase, 1 should be fine. Orcs - 3 mines, one in the main village and 2 the orcs gotta fight for amongst eachother as they like to do. Tl;dr I do not want public iron mines, I want national mines. This makes a LOT more RP sense, and will drop the 40 Mina price of iron, making iron not scarce again. Currently, 2 iron mines does not cut it. You guys need to understand that we do not need 2 iron mines, we need about -10-.

  15. Those in favor of RP fighting seem to be going in circles. Show me a refutation of Gaius' post and we'll talk, eh?
  16. Hey, I bought gold-level VIP a couple of days ago and have not received the associated rights on my account, minecraft or the forums. What gives, exactly?
  17. ((You should be kinda glad that you're not attacking a fortified city first while having almost no experience about your enemy's strength, but what do I know....?))

      Hunter (sckolar)

Better type it here. It's far better than yelling that throughout your household.
