My father was a fisherman and my mother a cook and maid to our burrow. I spent minimal time with them as they both worked very hard and had no time for me. This caused me to go looking around and finding things in books. One day I found an article in a human book about brewing ale and mead. I was instantly attracted to it. Ever since that moment I had been looking for books that contained brewing facts and tips. My mother was busy cleaning the hamper out and father was fishing. I went into my father’s study and found a large book containing a detailed diagram of my family tree. My whole family had been great fishermen until my great grandfather Fondil. He was a brewer. He owned a small brewery on the outskirts of Dunwood (a small Halfling settlement.) Sadly Dunwood was destroyed and Fondil went with it, leaving all his possessions to rot. As I got older I carried on researching my great grandfather and found out little more than I already knew. Life was all going smoothly then one day my father did not return. I and mother were waiting at the table for father to return with supper (a large trout, like the ones he usually brought home) but he did not come. I and my mother waited for what seemed like months for him to come home but he never returned. Whether it was an accident that happened or he had left off with another woman and fallen so deeply in love that he ran away with her, we do not know. I was 13 when it happened. My mother forced me to go to work at the local wheat farm to help our income. Mother cried everyday of her life since father left. Our bond breaking more and more every day, that went on. It got to the point where I was older and I couldn’t stand it anymore. I was 20 and was going nowhere with my life, not pursuing my dreams of ale making but farming wheat like a slave. It had to stop. I went to mother and said I was leaving. I stayed in the village for a while still working and saving up for my own burrow. Answer: Eying up the man I notice he is up to no good but that is none of my concern, surely the mighty human capital would have good enough guards to stop one man? I walk on down the path and hear shouts from the tower, something must have happened I carried on walking though and ignored the screams. 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react? Answer: I walk towards the bandits elegantly and ask ‘Excuse me fine sirs but do you have any bidding with this man?’ The bandits broke into a fit of laughter and started walking up to me. The old man crawls back into his cabin safe and sound. So I decide to make a run for it. The forest floor was coated with stumps and holes for people to trip on but I ran as fast as my feet could carry me. Then I came into the open, a small village and the bandits had gone. 3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. Answer: I walk up to the stool and see a brand new edition of ‘Brewing With Gondor’ I pick it up and say ‘My fine sir, how much for this great book?’ ‘Ahah, well depends how much you are willing to pay for it.’ I respond slowly making him think that I don’t want it that bad but inside I really do. ‘Hmm how about 3 minas?’ ‘Sorry sir no can do. I tried very hard to get that book. All the way from a stubborn dwarf that book was!’ ‘Ok then let’s say 5 minas’ Me being a shy weak person I don’t want to upset the man and don’t really have any experience of haggling. ‘Cmon, I’m sure you can spare a few minas extra?’ ‘Ok then, 5 minas it is’ I walk off with the book and turn around to see the dwarf chuckling and saying ‘Stupid Halflings, always believing ma silly tales!’ I walk off back home.

I am currently living with my brother Grondil in a settlement called Dunwood. We have been through a lot together and here is the tale of our life so far. I and Grondil were very different until a later date, he preferred soldiers and wars. Whereas I was more than happy to look through my brewing books and even try some out. At the age of 4 my mother died and left my family next to nothing gold. After that my father went into a deep depression and went almost mad. He worked as a fisherman but received half as much money as mother did. So we had to take action. I and my brother thought about it for days on end then came to the conclusion that we had to start stealing. At first it started by us merely taking chickens for food but we didn’t like it. Despite our efforts to keep the family afloat, father was getting worse and drank 10 bottles of human mead a day and that is the really strong stuff. Then one day out on a human farm we were caught out, it was a large human man that caught us. He dragged us by our ears back to the burrow. When the neighbourhood found out they banished us out of the village for 5 years. I was 15 at this time and Grondil was 13. We were forced to go to the wilderness and fend for ourselves. Left all alone I have not heard from father since. We stayed in the wilderness for our 5 years but have not returned until now. We will buy a burrow in Dunwood and hope to start our other careers instead of thieving; I shall go into the brewing industry and Grondil into the farming one. We used to stray far from Dunwood and now are not afraid to do so. We have now earned our titles by thieving and mine is Fendor the Swift and Grondil earned Grondil the Steadyfoot. We have hatred for any pureblood creatures like humans and elves as they intimidate me because of my height; I get on with dwarfs and like their history. Orcs are too scary to hate. Personality: Cunning, wise, optimistic and very modest. I use my knowledge to get out of sticky situations and can think very quickly for and excuse. Skills: Very talented brewer, very intelligent although not much common sense. Also light footed and very fast at pick pocketing. While he was on adventure he was accompanied by his brother and a pretty dwarven girl. Grondil and Fendor both fell deeply in love with her but only Fendor got the girl. Grondil has always had a problem with love and has never settled into a proper relationship. He was now entering what looked liked the Emperors chamber and drew his blade I knew now it was time to act. He blasted open the doors, ‘What the devil is this?’ said the emperor. The emperor saw his blade and fell instantly silent. Running as fast as I could I tackled the human scum into the bedside cabinet. I looked down to see crimson blood searing down his chest. He had stabbed himself. Before we could say a word he was dead. The emperor thanked me with his dearest gratitude and left me on my way. 2. The bandits catch up with him, take his gold and beat him up. I try to walk away but then they come for me. I draw my sword and say ‘I want no violence just give this man his coin and let us be on our way’ Then the bandits let out a howl of laughter and shout ‘well, we do midget!’ they run to attack. I try to resist attacking but it’s no good I swipe my sword and slice one of the bandit’s arms clean open. I drop my sword horrified of what I’ve done. Then the unhurt bandit picks the wounded one up and runs away with the coin. I leave without helping the human man (looting his corpse for coin) and leave for Dunwood. 3. Officail application. My name is Brandon Smart, I live in Southern Britain. I am 13 years old. My minecraft name is ventios. I have a very good understating of the British language as I've lived here all my life. I have a a lot of previous experience in role playing for example, I have played on many 'Harry Potter' role play servers also one other Lord Of The Rings server. I have read and agree with the rules 100%. I heard about 'Lord Of The Craft' while i was playing on a Harry Potter server (one of the ones above) and thought that i should try it out as it seemed awesome and a lot more advanced/organised as the Harry Potter one. In my words role playing is getting inside your character, feeling their emotions and being them 100%. I live in the small village of Dunwood making the finest mead of all the lands. My great grandfather Fondor passed the talent down the ancestral line to me and my father. My brother Grondil (Minecraft name krazykidman) has many unwanted traits as a hobbit, adventuring at will. His only natural trait is cooking, he does cook a fine second breakfast! I am a very short and stubby, brown haired halfling. My personality is one of great politeness and bore. He rarely gets out of the village and avoids it if possible. He is also very territorial and can get rather angry with trespassers. I am 27 and looking to expand the range of my meadery. Many people in the town of Dunwood drink it but i am willing to make large sacrifices to get rich. My mother has passed on and i inherited a large sum of gold from her loss. I used that to start up the meadery and carry on my family tradition. My ancestors were great brewers and made for elves and humans this is my goal also. I pick the frail man up and walk him to Malinor (taking his coins and putting them back in my purse to give to him) We get to Malinor and the man sais 'Thank you my dear halfling i should be alright from here' I give him his coins back and say 'You shall need these to buy a new stick' Chuckling i walk off back to dunwood.
