  1. Maybe not for this particular addon but some sort of metallurgy would be greatly appreciated by blacksmiths. An example might be iron and redstone in a certain proportions like 2 iron 5 redstone changes the metal properties or type.

  6. Pvp default will end a lot of annoying things in rp fighting. First of all people not knowing the science behind what they are doing being ridiculous. such as people dodging hits even though it wouldn't really be possible, or people threatening to cut your arteries in a way that would only cut capilaries. It would also end power-gaming where someone sneaks up behind you and stabs at your head with nothing you can do. it also stops severley wounded people from just getting up and running away somehow after in the rp they are extreemely wounded. Finally, it would end people having their character do a ton of fancy moves they couldn't do normally just because they don't want to deal with the consequences.
  7. I kinda like the idea especially since in many rp fights I'm in people are really unfair and are rather ridiculous. Too many players don't know the anatomy physics and chemistry behind what they do and how it would affect the other person in combat. For example someone thought that a knife slicing the thigh in as sideways fashion would cut my artery when actually it would require the knife to stab to hit it. Most of the time these people are also stubborn and have to get their way all the time even after i explain the science behind what they are doing.
  8. Maybe to improve the smelter higher ranks could have access to alloys. Which would then play into weapon and armor smiths who would have to have a higher level to work with the alloy. Also tying jewelers in by allowing them to encrust gems into the swords hilt or armor, ect.
  9. *a single note hangs on the well* I did not expect to pledge allegiance to the Humans.
  10. Swear to me! -Batman I love booty. -Bill Clinton Lies and slander! -Bender She kissed you and you kissed her back? -Rory No I kissed her mouth. -The Doctor

  11. *Posters are hung on the Leumalin well* In the hills near Leumalin a rather disturbing sight is to be beheld. A small camp of two tents four beds and two fire pits. Around the camps bodies of humans and elves were scattered about. Some bodies left in a heap the others lay strewn around half eaten. Heads lay on pikes and there were skins of these people on tanning racks. In front of one of the tents a Frost Witch lay slain. After investigation with two others I suspect it to be an Orc camp, however, the Frost Witch's body suggests otherwise. If these are Orcs they should not be approached as they could easily defeat most in one on one combat. I would advise against night travel as they could more easily find you off guard. If they attack you should try to an escape. If you cannot and nobody comes to your aid you should fight them while keeping them at a range, assuming they are Orcs. If they are not, there will be no telling there abilities. -Acele'avern Windleaf Update: I have found bodies of a dwarf and a man in the hills. They are linked by a bloody trail from the Bearded Elf Trail. On further inspection of the camp I have found to humans skinned and crucified. Avoid the Bearded Elf Trail at all costs.
  12. *The leaflets litter the boards throughout Malinor* Just a few days ago at the opening celebration of the GM Tavern one of our own, Vallel, was attacked by a group of Dwarves. Kefi and I (Acele'avern) jumped into the fray to defend her. I was shot with an arrow in the leg and stabbed, I was later treated by our druids. Kefi however Was hit by an axe and stabbed straight through her abdomen. Our druids saved her as well but just barely. She may be permanently damaged as a result. Live safely.
  13. Out-Of-Character InformationPlease fill out the following questions as accurately as possible, and ensure the essential details are accurate. Minecraft Account Name: Stormageddon50 How old are you?: 15 Time-Zone: Eastern Standard Have you read, understood and agreed to the rules?: Yes What previous experience have you had in role-playing?: I have played in multiple in depth role playing games and understand the requirements. How did you hear about the the Lord of the Craft?: I found a link to the server in the Minecraft forums and I love LOTR so I decided to apply. Link any applications that you have previously made for the server: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/88971-deniedelfadunian-goldenmetroid/ Have you posted this application on the Minecraft Forum? If not, then please do so (link above): Yes Have you read the Elven lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?: I have read through Elven Lore and the Laws of Malinor DefinitionsIn your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!: Role-playing: A game or server that puts the player into the place of the character he or she creates. The player lives in acts as the character would rather than playing as an outside spectator. Meta-gaming: Meta-gaming is when the player plays from an outside perspective searching for exploits, not complying with rules, and uses or achieves powers, weapons, items, ect., unavailable to their character. An example of meta-gaming would be, a player who isn’t actually role-playing and is actually looking to be the strongest through unfair methods. Such as, entering a town/building his character type has no access to, or killing and looting people’s bodies where there is to be no murder or thievery (unless a villain) like in towns or cities. Power-emoting: Power-emoting is using something that is completely unfair to the other player and leaves no room for reaction, such as if there is a current duel and someone suddenly shows up and cuts off both of their heads. Or if there were say a role-play battle and one of the combatants were to cast powerful magic they didn’t have access to, such as, some kind of poison spell that would incapacitate a player. The player who was power-emoting knows he can’t legally do it, however, the other player doesn’t and has to face the consequences even though they aren’t legitimate. In- Character Information:Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Acaele’avern Windleaf Current Age: 400 Sub-race (if any): Wood Elf Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): I was born of two highly esteemed, and somewhat rich, Wood Elves, in Elysium. They settled in an expensive house in a mainly Human town. My father died in the wild about 2 years after my birth due to injuries caused by a rabid wolf attack, and so my mother and I moved back to Malinor. She bought a small yet comfortable house even though we could have afforded much larger. After about 150 years we sailed to Anthos on a large and crowded ship. I took care of my mother for a year after we arrived because she had become horribly ill on the boat, probably due to the crowd and indecent sanitation. After she died, I decided to sell the home I had been caring for her in, and decided explore the world around the age of 158. I didn’t associate with anyone for the next 70 years or so. On my later adventuring I made friends from all different races. One was a High elf named Mithandriel, two humans named Gregor and Arenthur, and a dwarf called Gorthing. When I reached the age of 300 most of my friends had died either by battle, old age, or sickness, and so I decided to settle down for a time. I was depressed so I looked for work to take my mind off my sorrow. I took various jobs, such as blacksmithing, locksmithing, mining, and farming. The jobs felt rather tedious after I had learned the skills and I never felt fulfilled. Adventure found its way back into my life around the time I turned 340. A rather short lived trading company called The Southern Dweller Trading Co. needed an escort on an expedition through the wild to a secret mine. I decided to go along and help. When we exited the mine after are extensive search they left me bound and blindfolded in the mine. I managed to escape when I found a knife to cut my bounds. Once I was out I tracked down their caravan forged some sales ledgers to fit illegal activity and reported them to the guards in a nearby town. An investigation by the guards found that these traders had done things of this nature before, and so my actions were justified. The thrill of the chase and danger made me thirsty for more. I have been adventuring to this day meeting new friends and seeing how the towns I once passed through have changed over the years. Ambitions for the Future: In the future, I hope to own a shop in which I can display my findings, and earn money to afford more expeditions. Personality: I try to help where I can and stay respectful, but I have a deep love for wandering which sometimes overtakes my mindset. I am willing to go to extremes for just causes. Skills: Blacksmithing, Basic Farming, Adventuring, and Simple Locksmithing Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Dirty blonde hair, with blue eyes, with a rare light colored skin, and a dark green traveling cloak. Any other details you wish to share about your character: Is proficient with both a bow and sword from battling mobs. Devoutly follows Viera. Shuns the use of magic by all, except wise wizards. Open-Response-QuestionsEach question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of older elves are mocking a small Elven child. How do you react? Answer: As I hear the snickering, I silently investigate. As my suspicions are confirmed, I approach the older elves to reprimand them. As I lecture them on why elf youth are to be treasured, a small stone is thrown at me. I am ready to fight, but I manage to hold back the urge. I yell “You are all extremely immature I would have expected this kind of behavior from human, in fact humans act better than you! You should all be ashamed of yourselves!” I storm of escorting the young elf back to the village as the older elves continue to laugh and mock him. I tell the young elf that they don’t know what they are talking about, and I proceed to buy him a warm meal at the tavern. 2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do? Answer: I run over to the man asking if he is all right. Then I gather up his coins, put them back into his pouch, and return them to him. I help him up carrying him to the nearest carriage. Once we arrive I tell the carriage driver to take us to the nearest medical center, and I pay for his help. I even give him some extra coin if he would go faster. I quickly carry the man into the center and lay him on a cot. I tell the healer “This old man collapsed in the woods, so I carried him to a carriage and got him here as fast as I could!” She replied saying, “Don’t worry we have him well cared for, and he has no serious injuries”. I sigh in relief and return to my business. 3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved). Answer: I walk up to the carriage. “Sir what kind of minerals do you have,” I say. “I carry all kinds,” he replies. I inquire, “How much do you charge for five ingots of gold?” “That’ll be,” he calculates in his head, “600 minas”. “600 minas, that’s ridiculous!”, I reply. “But I would buy for 300”, I add, the gold was marvelous but I didn’t want to give him room to up the price. He replies firmly, “I won’t go lower than 500”. “Having me on your transaction ledger may make elves more accepting of your business, and hey I’ll even raise my price to 400”.”The gold is a bit low quality I’m doing you a favor.” I say shrewdly. He thinks for a second and decides it is worth it. “I’ll take you up on that offer”, he says handing me the gold. “Pleasure doing business with you”, I say as I stroll away. Thinking to myself “I have a fortune I just love to haggle.”
