  1. Banned for hitting exactly 300 posts! :p
  2. Alrighty, let's get right to it. If anyone would like to roleplay as a child, my character (Kristian von Craw) has had two children, Kelsey and Robard von Craw. Currently they are somewhere between 5 and 10 years old (lost track of the LOTC time .-.), and they are being cared for by Toby Williams and Guren in Auvergne, because their father is missing and their mother is dead (Brilliant!). The only thing that would really be required is that both of the children have a pink mark on the bottom of their feet, and black eyes. If you would like to RP as either Kelsey von Craw (little girl) or Robard von Craw (little boy), please respond below or PM me :) . Alright, thank you for your time!
  3. So... is this the solution? Enchanted weapons for the mages? It seems like the most fair and the easiest to do. | Edit: In response to Caln below me \/, I say that this is brilliant! We finally have a solution. I cannot really represent the high elves in this discussion, as one of my characters is lost at sea and the other is a 9 year old girl. :p
  4. I believe that the magic-users will receive the swords, to even out everything else. PvP has no real direct correlation with RP prowess.
  5. Makes sense, I guess. I was just throwing it out there. The enchanted weapons does seem like the best idea at this moment. Edit: Good point. Also, I'd hate to be the poor guy who gets the lowest number. That wouldn't be fun at all.
  6. Any chance that /roll can be implemented into this? I've seen several times that people have suggested something along those lines. I'm not a magic user, but it seems that magic is a tricky business, and luck may have some place in this. How about, if you're a mage: Tier 1 and 2- Given normal gear. Just normal people (I haven't seen many advantages to being a low tier) Tier 3- /roll. If you roll 15 or above, 1 person (grunt) is eliminated from the opposing team. Tier 4- /roll. If you roll 15 or above, 2 people are eliminated. 10-15 equals 1 being eliminated. Tier 5- /roll. If you roll 15 or over, 3 grunts are eliminated. 10-15, 2 people eliminated. 5-10, 1 person. You choose your highest section. No mage can /roll more than once. Again, not a magic user. This could be changed around.
  7. .-. This really is getting out of hand. I think we should let the staff decide on this... because we're getting nowhere. It's been a long while and no one has budged on their points.
  8. ((I think this is the best idea. A level playing ground is the best one, and it makes so people don't get mad :). Right now this seems like something which will just make everyone mad. Remember, we're all here to have fun!))
  9. The Abresi docks are misty, the shadows of the upper city concealing the boats like a cloak. Several ships are busy, sailors scurrying across the docks, carrying various spices, knick-knacks, and valuables to be transported and sold at other ports. The salty air carries a bit of mist, giving off a feel of mystery and regret. See now, a figure. It is a man with long, dark-red hair, and coal-black eyes. Across his face is a pink mark, and at closer inspection one would notice it continues down his neck, to cover the rest of his body. As he steps, the wood creaks beneath his feet, and his head swivels to take in the scene around him. “Captain, are we ready to set sail?” He calls this out to a man aboard a smaller ship, a caravel capable of holding maybe twenty folks. The man simply nods and smiles, revealing a mouth that is missing a few essential teeth. “Alright, then…” The figure steps onto the boat, holding onto the edge, obviously not at home. Staring out over the docks, he gets a good long look, preparing himself to- “KRIS!” “Wait… what?” The man turns, looking out to the sound of the voice. He sees a man, still rather young, in common robes. The hand of this boy is blackened and covered by a thick glove, nigh impossible to ignore. “What are you doing? I thought you were going to say goodbye… wait… you wanted to be fawkin’ dramatic, didn’t you?" “I-I-uh… It’s possible.” “C’mon… that isn’t fair to anyone!” Kris raises his eyebrows at the new arrival. “I’m just gone for a few days, Toby. Give me a break… I get out there, find Yuric… and I come back… I’ll just be following these guys most of the way.” He motions to the crew of the boat, who are completely ignoring the encounter. “How did you find out, anyway?” “This one told me.” Toby pulls a wood elf over, seizing him by the scruff of his neck. “Sorry, Kris.” The wood elf clearly looks depressed, head down, not even resisting Toby’s hold. “It’s alright, Eury…” Kris gently applies his palm to his face before continuing. “Just…get on board…” The wood elf nods, scurrying on board to find his room. “Anyway,Toby. I shan’t be long. Yuric’s one of my oldest friends, I owe it to him to help him out this one time. And the boat’s got enough food for any size crew he had. This is a rescue mission. This is for my honor.” "What would Dvari say about this?" "Probably something about me being a f***ing **** deserter *** ***** *****. But honestly... finding Yuric is more important right now." "YA FECKIN' DESERTER!!!! WHAT DO YA THINK YA'RE DOIN'?!?!?!?" A stumpy dwarf stands nearby, shouting continuous obscenities at Kristian. He grimaces a little. "YA BETTER COME BACK RIGHT NOW! THAT'S AN ORDA'!" Kristian sighs. "Sir... Dvari... this is a matter of honor." "FECK YA 'ONOR! YA'RE COMIN' BACK!" "Not an option, sir." "THAT'S AN ORDA!" "I'm on leave for a week, sir. You can't do anything... been approved already." He grins, throwing a paper to Dvari, chuckling at the grumbling of the dwarf. Toby sighs. “I guess I can’t do anything to change your mind, then. Farewell, Kristian.” “Farewell, Toby, Dvari.” Kristian does a low bow. As he turns he sees a new figure, another human, also young, but with a head of shockingly white hair. “Kristian.~” “Hey Guren.” Guren smiles. “Any last advice on taking care of them?” "Like you would for any other child. Just… don’t experiment on them. Please.” Guren grins a little. “No promises. Send a bird when you get back.” “See you in a week.” Stepping off, Guren joins Toby on the docks, and Kristian looks out over the ship’s edge for one final time… no interruptions. “I’m coming to find you,Yuric,” he whispers, eyes closed, “I’ll find you.” The boat sets off, leaving the docks no different. After what seems like hours, it disappears over the horizon, off on a search for a missing friend. The sunrose, and set. And rose. And set. A week passed. Then a month. Then several months. The boat did not return, nor was there any word at the other docks of Anthos. ((For those of you who say tl;dr: A guy went to rescue his friend and is now missing :p)) ((OOC note: This is not a PK, Kristian’s just going missing, along with Euryllicus (the wood elf). As is with many of these posts, real life is calling, and I’ll return to Kristian when I get back into the swing of things. Until then, happy RPing! Also, first RP post. Please tell me how I did :)!))
  10. Kristian's face twitches, the shadows of a smile forming. "Let us hope..." he shakes his head. "Let us hope this shall last."
  11. Kristian raises his eyebrows at the message. "Strange... I know men in the Delvers... doesn't seem like them." He takes the flyer off of its post, ready to bring it to his Delver friends.
  12. *The paper is written in a child's handwriting* Candy shop! Candy shop! Candy shop! -Yulnii
  13. +1 I like this idea a lot! This looks like it will create a lot of fun RP. And it seems like a good solution to redo the landscape if needed :p
  14. Reinstalling all my mods for 1.6. Put it off until now :P

  15. Krisitian knows this, just remarking upon its repercussions! And he likes his scythe! ((Don't diss the scythe!))
  16. Kristian von Craw laughs. "This is going to screw everything up, mark my words... darn dwarves gettin' too greedy." Still chuckling, he heads off, scythe twirling, the blade yearning for the blood to come.
  17. So... PvP default.

Oh, sorry if you took that the wrong way. I was just remarking upon it. I don't really have an opinion in the matter.

  18. ^This. I agree wholeheartedly. We need to give this a go. If it becomes a problem... stop it. I will enjoy PvP fighting as well as the RP fighting. It's a good mix of these two that will make this server much better.
  19. The only thing I really want to mention is the VAs and Applications. I think the looser applications for the server will work really well, and the VAs should follow suit. That's pretty much it. I like the Antags, the staff, and the rules. Keep up the good work guys!
  20. Kristian stands at attention in the former Valiant barracks. No matter what happens, he will stand by Oren. On his honor, on his life, on everything he owns.
  21. Kristian laughs at the high prices the Orcs have to pay. "It's a shame that it has to be like this, but it makes me happy." He goes off, ready to pay a measly ten minas.
