  1. *rubs hands together* Ah... VAs... here we go.

  2. Hah... people are saying 'Deal with it in RP'. Go to Blundermore's post that was, in fact, made today. We've tried dealing with it IC. Believe me... we've tried. But, this is coming from a guard in a quite numerous guard force... we've just thrown in the towel as we don't want to do the same thing over and over. It is no longer interesting or fun. I've seen the same villains reappear multiple times... and my thought process nowadays goes "Oh... look... there's [insert generic villain here]. I could arrest him... but it would lead to OOC drama... the town calling corruption and going to his aid, and most likely end in my death. I'm just not going to bother." And it isn't just me. Someone confirm that it isn't just me. People have to understand... it isn't fun anymore for you to come in every day and kidnap and murder, as we've seen it... dozens of times.
  3. "More like you decided... nonetheless... I shall do this. What better way to prove that we are still a power to be reckoned with than to rebuild our society?" Eleyas runs a hand down his bow, his fingers slowly gliding over the fine grooves in the wood. From his looks, he would appear to be a peasant of sorts, but his eyes show a bright intelligence, and the testament to a long life. As he stands up, he gives the smallest of nods to Artimec, his expression revealing little about his true intentions or feelings. "Count me in."
  4. Alright. I'm going to still say (and I'll probably get a lot of flaming for this) that VAs need to be removed. Making them easier was a mistake in itself, as it got everyone to say "Oh, looky... easy VAs... time to make my character a psycho killer with a tortured past!". If we were to remove these immediately... the backlash wouldn't have been as bad. People would have been a bit hectic the first few days, but after that it would descend to the normal pace, with a few added villains. Villain RP isn't something special... and glorifying it through an app doesn't help. Much like the magic apps, if you think about it, the removal of magic apps was a bit hectic the first few days, with people suddenly getting tons of magic... but after that it went back to normal... because people RP what they want to RP. As a guard and a villain... I'm in agreement with this. I have already made a promise with myself that if one of my characters is publicly executed, I'll PK them, simply because it makes very little sense to have them return. This also prevents a lot of people from returning... again... and again... and again. Ehh... I'm really... really tempted to say no... simply because I've already made changes to my characters... and it wouldn't make sense for my emotionally-unstable kleptomaniac to suddenly become a perfect model of society. And a cap? No... nonono. That makes it unfair for people who just joined the server a week ago and the cap is full. (Although, on second thought... we need a cap on psychopaths and sociopaths... we have way too many of those). Yus please.
  5. "Return to our... family roots. Become one with nature again. Yes. Our people are... very spread out. You speak wisely, cousin. We recreate Lenniel... in our image... a good image. We can do this, yes?" He smiles coldly, showing all his teeth. "When do we begin?"
  6. "250 Minas for the Wayfarer of the Dunes!" Captain Kristian von Craw places down this offer.
  7. Eleyas is bopped on the head, and he turns away, sniffing distastefully. He looks towards the entrance to the city. "Hm. Yes." He falls silent, waiting for others to enter the Moot Circle. Picking at his fingernails, he yawns.
  8. Eleyas Camoryn walks up to the Moot Circle, his eyes squinted. It had been a long while since he was around this area. How... he shudders as the thought enters his mind... he wondered what strange things his relatives had been up to as of late. "It appears I am the first to arrive... well... I shall wait."
  9. ((Empire of the Drunk Short People :p... I laughed. Brilliant map by the way.))
  10. Kristian nods in approval. Yulnii nods in approval. Eleyas snobbishly sniffs in approval. Veldryn does baby stuff. Tomas plays the lute... in Oren. Seems pretty good. Mikael laughs at the Prince's meltdown. Claire asks her father what exactly the Prince meant. ... And a lonely Kha kitten meows at the posters. ((Nuuuuu >:( I don't have enough characters.))
  11. A small smile crosses Kristian's face. "Good for ya, old friend... now... time to celebrate!" Sauntering off into Malinor, he joins in the festivities.
  12. Alrighty. I'm going to say here what I've been saying for a long while. We can't fight this, at all. No matter what we do, what we attempt to do... there will always be an abundance of killers and psychopaths. Why, do you ask? Well, first of all, this is a game. In this game, people get to do what they don't normally do in real life. In real life, you can't stab someone without having consequences. Here... you die and within 5 minutes you are back to life, ready and raring to go. People enjoy doing what they cannot do. Second, people may complain about the overabundance of killers and whatnot, but think about it. How often do people 'die' on this server? (I'm talking about leaving the server, or perma-killing). How many cataclysmic events happen so very often? How many of this psyche shattering things occur here? This isn't going to not affect your character. I tried to be absolutely normal with so many of my characters. 2 got brainwashed, and 1 got pushed into a war and saw all his friends die around him. (The other is happily skipping around Abresi, but we shall ignore him. No one cares about Tomas). This is going to harden people, make them more likely to kill or 'snap'. So, it is a deadly circle. We start with a lot of villains and evil events, which lead to more villains as terrible things happen, which leads to more evil events... and more villains (you get the point). So, let's live and let live... and try to be considerate OOC. Let's not just go around murdering for the fun of it, right? Do your best to make fun as a villain... and as a victim.
  13. Kristian walks up to the note, sighing. "Order. ORDER is what we need. If the magistrate can manage this... then yes, keep it... but if causes more trouble than it stops... then don't. Our citizens are already unruly and restive. Let's not make that worse, aye?"
  14. Merrrrrrry Christmasssss! ^-^

  15. Goodnight, everyone. Have a very Merry Christmas ^-^

  17. Yogurt is quite delicious.

    1. Desires

      Desires

      It's pigeon poop.

      Now eat it.

    2. Augor

      Augor

      I hate yogurt. So much.

  18. The von Craws are always an option. They've got a little twist where each has a sickly pink birthmark on their body, varying in severity (Kristian is over to the left as an example). Plus, they're a human immigrant family to Malinor, so they have to deal with racism and all that. However, one member is off living in the human nations as a farmer. (Send a PM if you're interested ^-^)
  19. I was just using an example. The fact of the matter remains... there will always be someone who wants to break the rules and bend them, so on and so forth. It is more of a psychological matter than anything else.
