Glydaken The Beginning There is not much written about the early days of the Glydaken people as they did not write about themselves because it took them a thousand years to develop a writing system. What we know of their early days comes from a group a civilized traders known as the Cartagenis who settled on the southern coast until...later days which will be explained later. From the records it is understood that the Glydaken were savage and lived in clans even before their more “civilized” times. Living in small hill forts or ramshackle coastal settlements the Glydaken would generally capitalize on their local environment for food or economy. Meaning that a clan living in the woods would be VERY good at logging, but complete rubbish at any other skill making the need for trading and raiding. The people of Glydaken still love to raid clans that have blood feuds with their clan or may just raid them because they have nicer swords or because they think they have prettier women. This makes the Glydaken seem like unwashed barbarians to outsiders, but under the love of raiding and doing “uncivilized” activities there are some truly intellectual aspects of their society. They possess an intricate and complex religious system, are masters of iron forging, and also have manuscripts of clan history. In the beginning the people lived in clans that warred among each other and it was most likely like this throughout the time before the Cartagenis began to observe them. On an uncertain date the people known as the Cartagenis or “men of magenta,” which is what the Glydaken called them because of their love of wearing magenta colored clothing. These people set up a colony called Malakas on the southern tip of the island which greatly disturbed the coastal clans at they did not like that outsiders were on their territory. At first the Cartagenis traded with all tribes on the coast and forest of the interior, but the failed to understand what was in the north and center of the island. In the recovered works known as the Noca Glydakae the Cartagenis describe the forest and coastal clans as wary, but friendly much like a cat or dog when they first meet a person. The Cartagenis were very arrogant and puffed up in their writings as they referred to the Glydaken as savages or dogs as they believed that they were only their for their personal benefit. In truth the Cartagenis were most likely refugees from some unknown land as they were were ousted by some unknown group in their homeland and decided to take a new home in Glydaken. A poor choice in settlement as the Glydaken winter is brutal and the people were from a warmer climate killing 20,000 new settlers out of the initial 100,000 Cartagenis folk. However, they survived and traded with a few clans for 400 years. The great turn The best way to die in Glydaken is to wrong a man or to back out of an oath, both of which highlights the nature of the Glydaken and shows what killed the Caratgenis. High Lord Harubus Cannae was met with an emissary from the north central area of Glydaken, an area filled with savage and brutal clans even by Glydaken standards. They wish to trade! The emissaries name was Torbeer MacCrannug a funny man described by his kin as nice and friendly something that was rare among the mountain clans of the north. While Torbeer was friendly he was appalled at what he saw in the city of the Cartagenis….Glydaken slaves. It turns out that the Caratgenian army would round up villages of forest and coastal clans and put them in chains if they refused to deal with the Cartagenians. Torbeer asked for trade and for his clans lands to be unsullied by the Cartagenian settlers, the lord said yes. Years passed and Torbeer became the chief of the MacCrannug and one night he heard a commotion by the gates. Probably just Hassa the town drunk being dumb...sadly Hass was already dead as the Cartagenians were storming the clan hold after they learned the land held a large copper reserve. The clan was successful at repelling the invaders and on that day Torbeer called for the first great moot. The forest clans, the coastal clans, mountain clans, and even the outcast clans met to create the Ostach Cogdah a massive clan army that was made up of well over 700,000 men. These men marched from the highlands and waited for winter to beseige the Cartagenians as they did not fare well in the winter. They assault the walls with ladders and once they broke past the walls their defenses crumbled as the men fled on boats leaving behind women and children. In a funny turn of events the king was left behind and Harubus begged for mercy at the knees of Torbeer, but Torbeer would have none. He gathered all remaining Cartagenians and had them watch as Harubus was sacrificed to the gods, in particular the MacCrunnug liked to behead with a great axe and did this to Harubus. The remaining men were sent away with male children off into the sea where they were never heard of again. The women of the Cartagenians were beautiful with red and brown hairs leading to the trait of red hair becoming very common in every clan of the Glydaken isles. While the Cartagenians had built a nice city with sandstone walls it was ugly and disgusting in the eyes of the Glydaken and they tore it too the ground after stealing all of the wealth and most importantly the books. In an odd way the Cartagenians gave the Glydaken a uniform writing system that was the same between all clans and regions. Also this made the Glydaken write down everything from crops quotas, to storms, to what their favorite type of bread was. They create a highly literate clan system that held grudges through writing and kept well document histories and religious documents. The Island of Glydaken The island of Glydaken has a mountainous north and center of the island, a west and east will deep and dense forest with deep cave system running underneath them, while the south is made up of sandy beaches and rocky islands. In the center and north the mountains are high and have small mountain roads carved out by mountain Glydaken which leads to their clan holds built into the valleys between mountains. These mountain have a lot of tin, copper, and iron deposits making them a hotspot for trade as these clans supply the life blood of the Glydaken and that is iron. However, the winters in the mountains make it impossible for food to be grown making the reliant on the forest and coastal clans for the provision of foods. The forest dotting the east and western sides of the island are deep and dense and light can barely penetrate the canopy of the tall pine and spruce trees during the winter. Logging and agriculture are major economic factors, but make this area a common raiding ground as people try and take food and wood products from the clans that inhabit this region. The coastal clans are fishermen that raid the interior, but also are very religious and support the island monasteries off the coast of the main island. They produce salt, fish, and build boats. REligion The religion of the Glydaken is an interesting one as it is so complex and hard to understand when explaining it to outsiders. This is due to the plethora of gods involved in the faith and the religious cults that follow them. There are three lord gods that watch over and command the minor and more worshipped clan and regional gods. The first is named Hashun who is represented by a bull and is known to dance through the afterlife chasing gods who are trying to ascend into one of the lord positions and put them back into their realm of the heavens. Annach is a beautiful woman known as the mother to her cult followers and she cares for the minor gods and women who are pregnant. In mythology she is the one who birth the first mortals and is mother to many of the minor gods. Aeal MacIr is the son of the old dead god ir and the leader of all gods, known to be the punisher and law maker he rules over all the gods and they live ( and try to circumvent) under his iron fist. While the minor gods are worshipped A LOT more by clans and tribes as they have the most effect on the clans and regions that worship them. For instance, clan MacBaerin of the north live in a cold mountain fjord and worship the god Taebar who is the local god of fishing and hearth-warmth, something important to the locals. These gods then ask for certain sacrifices that can range from a piece of bread to a person from a rival tribe. The god is often supported by a cult or coven that enforces and commands the wills of their respective god. In most clan villages the higher ranks of the cult have a place in the hall of the clan chief. Many clans fight each other because they believe that their clan god has a fight or bone to pick with another clan’s god and use it as an excuse to raid and loot in the name of Taebar or Aedruni or...one of the hundreds of minor gods. Many regions worship a certain god, the clans of the eastern piney woods worship Haelia a maiden that brings great timber harvest and spares them from wildfires, making her common among many clans. It is safe to say that many Glydaken love their gods, but these cult members will often go to great lengths to prove it. A coastal clan known as Clan MacImar have a group of warrior woman named Fiannachs and they refuse to cut their hair and tattoo their necks in worship of their god who grants them equality of with men if they fight in battle of defend a home. While this may seem minor some cults god as far as losing a pinky or isolation on a rock for a decade. A few have converted to canonism or other faiths in Vailor, but they are not viewed as traitors as they are just visiting another minor god in the eyes of the other Glydaken. The Glydaken also write manuscripts in the homes of these cults or worshipping centers. They write these in the cartagenian script as it is their only literary basis to follow.Many of the intellectual and knowledge seeking minor gods make new acolytes in their cult or coven write a small manuscript known as a Ionisach Bauchadh which generally is over the history of the clan the acolyte comes from. New members write these so that a worshipping center can build up a store of knowledge that grants someone who joins knowledge about the isle of Glydaken and beyond. When a Glydaken dies he believes that he or she will travel to the realm of the god that they have worshipped the most. Each minor god is believed to hold a small realm in the heavens that is populated with his followers. Each realm reflects that god and his followers making every realm unique. For instance Darae, a goddess of the eastern piney woods, has believed to have a realm that is heavily wooded and cold, but has warm stone towers where he followers live and celebrate in the afterlife. This is why worshipping two gods is somewhat rare as you want to show your respective god that you are dedicated to that god or goddess. The afterlife is seen as an exciting time and many almost look forward to it in an odd way as they see it as a reward for going through the struggles of the mortal realm. The Clans The Glydaken folk are divided into distinct units known as clans. These clans are unlike the dwarven clans due to the fact that Glydaken in the same clan are not always family by blood or even relation and these clans act more like tribes than anything else. Now these clans are divided into regions that generally help generalize otherwise very diverse and different clans. While one clan from one region may be very different from another in the same region they will most likely have a lot more similarities than those from a different region. We must first start with the forest folk who make a living off the woods and all of the creatures that live in them. Usually these tribes are very defensive as both the coastal and mountain clans raid them for lumber, furs, and food. These has lead to them being very great hillfort builders and archers. Fierce clans like the Beurri fight several coastal clans, but have never lost their main city due to the thick wooden walls and skilled spearmen. Clans like the MacCanonach, Beuri, McArvenis, Teugri, and the MacUrdae are some of the largest clans, but power in the forest is never stable as clan's rise and fall faster than than the trees they cut down. Members of the these tribes often worship based gods like Caerina who has her worshipers sacrifice some wood and a mountain/coastal clan member to her before logging season. Men of the wood are built like lumberjacks and have immense strength and height. Brown hair is the most common next to black, auburn, and red as these tribes have nearly every hair or eyes color due to mixing with other tribes from other regions. The coastal clans are interesting folk as they have many interesting and weird traditions that differ from the other clans. There are hardly any blondes in these clans as it is believed that the coastal suns prevent this from happening. These harder folk live in a cycle of fishing and raiding making them very religious people as they must endure hardship even in peacetime. The god Aedrani is worshiped by clan MacImar and their sister clans and this god reflects their brutal life. Followed by hermit monks known as the papar they isolate themselves and then during fishing season they take a few of the young to become papar for life and also sacrifice a great deal of enemies into the sea. They live in coastal forts built of stone, wood, brick, and anything they can really get their hands on and then make their houses out of thatch and wood. Many of these supplies are not common on the coast and they raid big forest clans for such supplies. They people of these clans often sport facial hair and the women do cut their hair past the age of 14 making them braid their hair in many ways. These people are also slimmer and have more toned muscle than muscle mass making them small. The most common hair colors are Auburn. Red, brown, and black. Oddy some of them have a tanner or sunburned skin color as they are exposed to the sun often. Major clans include clan MacImar, the MacDrusi, Tengae, and the Blackfaers which have all established themselves and their power fluctuates less than those the forest. Ah yes the brutal clans of the mountains are enough to make even the hardiest of the forest and coastal clans tremor. Living in stone forts built into the side of mountain or in valleys between these mountains these beasts of raiding live.Unable to grow crops these men must hunt great beasts of the mountain like the crag boar or the Glydaken moose for food...and in desperate times even other clans….this may be a rumor spread by the old Cartagenians. In order to get some form of lumber and crops these clans come down from the mountains in the spring and summer in order to take these items from the forest and coastal clans. While all clans hold slaves the mountain clans keep a lot of slaves in order to have large numbers to appease their common god of Hushutadh who demands that slaves are kept to swell their numbers and to sacrifice for servants in Hushutadh’s realm of the afterlife. A girl taken to a mountain hold is most likely going to be the third wife of some raider, but a man taken is most likely going to be forced to build walls and if he rebels will be sacrificed by the local cult. All mountain gods are servants to Hushutadh making him a contender for becoming a major god, this is of course stopped by Hashun, he half-brother, who forces him and his servants back to their realms. These raiders are built like bulls and sport either fire red hair or blonde hair with a huge beard. Major clans are the Kurbasi, MacFiur, the Lasugii, and the MacGriar and these clans will most likely have to fight every other mountain clan for better forts, hunting grounds, and other lands. Outcasted from the better lands and sent to the Leadranach Steppe the outcast clans are ancestors of clans that worked with and even help the cartagenians when the great siege of their city happened. The windy steppe is home to clans that live in dug-out homes that dip below the ground in order to avoid the harsh winds of the steppe. They have some arable land and farm on it and also use horses to farm cattle. They are the best horsemen on the isle due to living on the steppe, but other clans still attack their villages as it is seen as an honor to attack these clans. These clans all have black hair and it is presumed that it comes from breeding with the cartagenians, their men generally do not sport facial hair and cut their hair short. Their clan women are beautiful and are prized among other clans as they have tan skin and wear their hair in buns wrapped in a gold casing ( often bronze ) on the side of their heads. They worship the main god Hashun just as much as their clan or regional gods as they believe he will eventually forgive them and allow them to leave the steppe. All clans wear a pattern known as a tartan (think of kilts and scotland/ireland) on their clothing and wear it in some form of the their daily wear. Even if you’re in the mud you should wear your tartan as it doesn’t matter what your doing you should be wearing the tartan and supporting your clan. The current state of glydaken The isle of Glydaken is in turmoil as a short winter has extended the raiding season making clan warfare and raiding twice as intense as normal. Clans from the north have united into several different clan confederations and it is believed they have done this in order to take more loot from the forest and coastal clans. The main priest of Hushutadh has stated that more slaves will be need for Hushutadh for use in his realm so the northmen are in a religious frenzy also. In the forest clans are constructing larger hill forts and clan strongholds to fight against the raiders. The woods themselves are littered with traps that will main or make an unlucky raider lose his leg. Have repulsed so many waves of mountain and coastal clans these tribes are becoming master fighters and will go on the offensive on some point which would be dangerous for the clans that rarely have to fight on the defense. On the coasts a great fishing harvest as lead to a boost in the clans birth rate causing the their numbers to swell. While raiding into the woods the coastal clans have actually formed treaties with some of the forest clans due to the danger that comes from the mountain clans confederations storming down into the lowlands. On the steppe the outcast clans have called for a meeting in the central steppe to try and unify the clans for a while. They wish to create a great army to prove to the gods that their mistake of siding with the cartagenians was a fault of their ancestors. The black haired outcast clans have been seen wandering into territories they have never raided before and this is worrisome to the clans that border the steppe. I think like an event that makes the Vailor really dangerous and pushes people off of it would be interesting. We could have an invading race though this is probably stretching it or maybe like a plague of some sort even though I'm not sure how that would be implemented. -

Finland Mr.Mannerheim receives a letter from the Ukrainians and then responds immediately...this is what it said.. ''Greetings friends in the Ukraine! We send this brief telegraph to notify you that we support your efforts against the Soviets and wish to enter into an alliance with you against the red menace. When our campaigns in the north are finished we will send troops and support to the Ukrainian front in order to prevent the Soviets from attacking you. We accept your offer of an alliance and in the mean time we pray for our Ukrainian allies. All the best from Finland!'' Finns have received from the Germans that they can use their troops and this bodes well as more able bodied men on the front against the Soviets is better. After fighting hard battles against the red menace the Finns and their German allies have taken a lot of Karelia and the Kola peninsula. The men are ordered not to advance but to fortify heavily as the a Soviet counterattack is very likely. They entrench with heavy arms and artillery, while aircraft bomb any soviet forces in the Karelia and Kola area. They also recruited Sami and Karelians to help out with the army as they know they land and make great snipers/scouts. Soon the Finno-Uralic homeland will belong to the Finns!! Actions Ukraine is notified and given a letter from Mr.Mannerheim about our acceptance of an alliance with them. We fortify our captured positions in order to prevent a Soviet counterattack or to stop one in its tracks. Recruiting of local Karelians and Sami into the armed forces to act as scouts. (mod give number of recruits please) We await the Soviet response. -

Finland Finland agrees to SWEDEN's wish for a defensive alliance as this comes at the best time for when the war has started. They planned to trade with the Swedes as much as possible as their brothers in the north would surely understand that they too must help defeat the red menace. Mr.Mannheim announces on this day that the offensive lead by 530,00 finnish troops.The plan seemed, blitzkrieg like early germany and take over Karelia and also the Kola peninsula quickly. They would send tank and ground troops with the airforce providing support to bomb out any Russian heavy armor in the area. But really all of the Russian were focusing on the Germans, so who cared about the Finns. Actions I accept my defensive alliance with Sweden. We have invaded Karelia and the Kola peninsula and have we have declared war on the Soviets. We are awaiting the German response if we could use there troops stationed in Finland. -

The Treebeard Clan History The Treebeard Clan was originally founded by Gloin Treebeard, the last son of Urguan. The Treebeards were named shortly before their ancient exile in Aegis. Post-exile, the Treebeards thrived in the Elven forests and became what are now known as Forest Dwarves.After taking to the woodlands of Aegis, many Treebeards chose to abandon the clan and start anew, as forest life was alien to them and was not deemed suiting. The majority of said Dwarves returned to the mountain under a new alias and were able to resume their cave-dwelling life, while others were not so lucky. The remaining Treebeards ventured forth to the magnificent Elven forests, where the clan finally settled down and built wooden huts and villages in the trees. Few Treebeards found spiritual influence by the Elves, taking to the path of Druidism.As centuries passed, the clan scattered throughout the land. Treebeard blood often mixed with that of their mountain-dwelling cousins, thus resulting in many Half-Cave and Half-Forest Dwarves emerging. Rendering it almost impossible to track down those of pure Treebeard blood, the clan nearly collapsed. Time continued to pass by, and the Treebeards seemed to go with it.Slowly, more Treebeards have begun to emerge from the world. At first, there was Saviticus, Druid of Spirit. Although he struggled with his family name and down the line became an Irongut, he soon returned to his true bloodline and took up the name Treebeard once more. Before his disappearance, in the islands of Elysium and Kalos, another Treebeard had emerged. Thudrin, once thought to be an Oakheart, found records kept by Saviticus assuring he was not. Thudrin followed the path that Saviticus drew for him, also taking to Druidism. Few others have recently popped up and claimed their family name, only to wander off and become lost once more. A common misconception is that all Forest Dwarves are Treebeards. Although most Forest Dwarves will have a connection to an ancient Treebeard ancestor somewhere in their family history, the Treebeards will only acknowledge one another as clan members if they are of pure Forest Dwarven blood. This means that they must directly descend from the original Treebeards and not have mixed Dwarven blood down the line. The Ways of Clan Treebeard The Dwarves of Clan Treebeard are known as druids by many, but this claim is only partially true. It is true that many decide to follow the path of Druidism, but the vast majority act like regular dwarves. Forest dwarves by nature farm, working in the lumber industry, or brew ales out of natural ingredients they find in the woods. This obsession with the outdoors is thought to be what changed the skin color and hair colors of the forest dwarves from their mountain and cave brethren. Fashion wise the Treebeards and other forest dwarves grow out their beards shorter, but still maintain them in a good fashion. Many other dwarves wear armor and mail, but the Treebeards will wear furs or the clothes of a woodsman. Almost all of them carry a weapon on them as going into the woods always has many risks as wildlife and others races of the lands find the woods to be a great place to cause mischief. The accents of the Treebeards also vary a little from other kinds of dwarven accents as they tend to change words up a little in order to shorten up words by saying things like ''lot'' inside of '' you people.'' Also in langauge and speaking to others Treebeards tend to never be hostile or speak in a violent manner. This is due to their reserved nature, but if you say enough you may be able to usually soft spoken Treebeards to snap and say something that is not very friendly. Fighting wise they tend to prefer short swords, spears, and bows instead of heavy armor and battle axes. Because by their logic it allows them to move fast and not be targets to the enemies fire. Treebeards in no way are scared of fighting and they hate the assumption that all of them are pacifists that hide with Elves in druids groves. Religion Dwarves of Clan Treebeard worship the Brathmordakin worship Grimdugan, Belka, and any others that their memebers may prefer. While some may prefer the ways of the Druid this is looked down upon if the stop worshipping the true gods of the Brathmordakin. Still this has been a problem with the youth as the druids tend to recruit heavily from the Treebeards. Though Treebeards tend to be very religious they rarely speak about their faith to others as they see no point in converteing others to the faith as they think that they would only be joining in a futile attempt to have a better afterlife. If a member of their clan denounces the Brathmordakin and follows another faith such as Canonism then they will have to earn their way back into the clan. Of Druids and Their Culture Within The Treebeards Upon the arriving of a fellow Forest Bortu the following small ritual is to be done to make him a full member of the Treebeard Clan, and make him or her worthy of carrying the name Treebeard:The individual is to be standing on a dedicated spot, around it a circle is to be drawn. This can be done by either the Clan Father or a Clan Elder. A prayer is to be muttered after which the ritual is nearly complete. The mud from a Druidic totem is to be drawn upon the forehead of the Individual partaking the ritual to complete it and make him or her a valid member of the clan. This mud may be removed shortly after. Though not all Treebeards go through this process the majority of those that wish to become something in the clan have at least some kind of ties to druidism. What Are We Doing Now? At the moment the Clan is attempting the rebuild under the Clan father Garrion Treebeard and his cousin Evertlas Treebeard. They setup a cave base known as Khaz'Haefron and it is growing, but needs new members to swell its empty rooms and to bring commerce to the the small holds. Garrion has tried to make the clan less druid oriented and try to embrace nature in a more interesting and less druid based way. The reason for this is that many new Treebeards leave for the groves and never come back to help the Dwarven nation as a whole. But that being sad good Dwarven druids are needed and if one really wishes to be a Druid than their is no reason why they cannot be one. In fact at the moment a rather large contingent of Treebeards that are still loyal to the Grand Kingdom live in the the confines of Sutica with others who wish to help them grow their druidic power. The clan continues to grow and some day the forest dwarves may live under one banner. FINLAND The people of Finland were hurt and beaten, but not broken. The evil Soviets taint the world with their communist mindset that once split the nation into civil war. After having a Pyrrhic victory known as the Winter War, the Finns and their German allies feel that they must strike back at the beaten Russian and take back Karelia from the Soviets. Carl Mannerheim announced to the people and the military that they shall be striking against the Soviets, but he did not say that he wished to keep on good terms with the allies despite their alliance with the Third Reich. Coming from German ancestry, Mannerheim stilled considered himself more Finnish than anything and cared little for the racial theories of the Reich. However the Germans were the best chance at keeping the Finns alive against the Soviet invaders. The plan was simple, take Karelia and the people there will join up with the cause and then they can secure a proper homeland. With the Germans helping and the Italians sending motor torpedo boats the Finns may yet have a chance to prevail. Military With 530,00 Finnish troops and 220,00 German troops they began arming up with gear similar to the early Third Reich military. They had a fairly strong air force with early war German airplanes and also quite a few tanks. The regular Finns were different from the Germans as they carried their renowned Mosin Nagant. Heros of the Winter War like the wounded but not dead Simo Hayha are the type of people that each Finn tries to emulate in the coming war against the Soviets. While the Soviets are trying to stop the Germans from invading the Finns will strike into and take over Karelia. The plan was to full on rush and catch the Soviets by surprise and capture key areas in Karelia and to also get the Kola peninsula with the help of some of the Sami locals who had no love for the Soviets. This ''full rush'' would make it impossible for the Soviets to entrench and defend against the Finns as the Finns were at home in the woods, swamps, and permafrost of the region. The main focus was the Soviets and the safety of the Finnish people!!!! Economy The Finns were going to rely on selling wood materials to neutral countries like Sweden and the USA. Also producing war materials gave those not in the war something to do that would support the Finns fighting against the Red menace. The main force was doing logging, but the second major economic effort was producing weapons like Mosin Nagants and small arm to sell and give to citizens in case the Reds wish to make the mistake of invading Finland again. Diplomacy The Finns would write to the Third Reich to ask if the troops stationed in their country would join in the invasion of Karelia and the Kola Peninsula. They would say that if so they would use Karelia's tin, lumber, and other resources to help the German war effort and that they would help out the Germans in crushing the Soviets as long as they did not harm any native Finno-Uralic peoples. Then they would write to the USA and the UK to tell them that their alliance with the Reich was one of necessity and not one of want. They wished that the two nations would not declare war on the Finns as they have no ill will towards the UK or USA as they only ally with German because they have a common enemy known as the Soviet union. -

Region you'd like to start : The DFW area (Dallas-Fort Worth) Culture (Irish, French, etc): Mostly white people of European ancestry with some people from the ''tanned ones.'' What's my favorite color: Mega Milk Nerds Nation Backstory: During the wars of Europe many refugees sought out a new home from their war torn lands. Mainly Irish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Scottish immigrants came in hordes to an area known as DFW. Settling in the small communities, those that made it over the long land trek ended up meeting the native white Texans. Little did the new immigrants realize that the city had broken up into racial tribes and the ''Whites'' had prevailed. Nobody knows how that conflict started, but it ended with the Africans moving towards the south and the hispanics which the native whites called ''Brown ones'' either dying or crossing the Red River. At this point the Texans and their new Europeans allies began building up the non-battle scared communities of Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, and Keller. With the main cities of Dallas and Fort Worth being trade centers with barely any permanent residents. The people have forgotten the Christain faith and worship a new pantheon of people the call the Uielande. They have gods from different cultures such as Sam'Hous, Stepf'Aus, Si'Hayha, Murchadh, Remin'ten. Their leader is a younger man who proved himself and gained fame in the tribal games as a runner. Wooing the daughter of the Chief of Keller, the Grapevine and Keller tribes allied themselves and ''convinced '' the other tribes to vote Murphy. Armament wise the tribes are armed with mostly metal spears, swords, bows and the upper ranking folk have makeshift guns. At the moment few have ''alt'a age'' guns and Chieften Murphy owns one known as the ''Smit'un Wes'' sent from the gods to take his enemies. Gods save the young Free State of North Texas. -

APPLICATION Country: Finland Nation Leader - Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim Demonstrate Understanding of chosen country (Literally Look at Wikipedia for 10 minutes): - Finland after WW1 became and independent nation that soon broke into civil war. The civil war was between the reds ( commies ) and the Whites.....the white won. During this time the Finns just finished ( no pun intended) the winter war against the Soviet Union with support from Nazi Germany. During this time the nation is hurt as Karelia has been taken and lots of lumber and tin industry along with it. Now Finland must continue to establish itself as a nation and to make sure the the Finno-Uralic peoples of the north do not falls to any invaders. Alliance(Allies, Axis, Non-Aligned): - Axis - ish. More refugees from a small Telvanni holds from the eastern islands off the coast of Morrowind floated towards Tel'Holvar. Mithrad offered them shelter in his land in exchange for a promise of work and help managing the population. Most of the refugees were Dunmer, but a few were Khajiit servants forced to man the dangerous shipping jobs. Most of these people came from a fishing or military background which would help with Mithrads plans. After hearing from his good friend Niarima, he learned about these savages and planned to send off a detachment of 100 levymen, some fresh and other trained by the new general. After all if they savages did not wish to cooperate than they would be made into slaves or go down in the history books as an extinct tribe. Garun Teveras told the new refugees that they would be in the greatest Telvanni fighting force ever, he was a good speaker, a group of 100 mustered ready to set sail with Niarima in the ships they had taken to get to the isle of Neloth in the first place. The men actually seemed happy to spread influence of their House. Mithrad was surprised as most Telvanni, even the commoners, were reclusive and not really the whole ''conquer the world'' type. He told Niarima to send a person back to talk on their progress. There mission was simple. Take over the savages or destroy them. The fort was going well even though the winter was hard, the men had stopped scouting and were under orders just to stand guard. He hoped to actually allow those that built it settle there and at some point he was going to elect a duke of some sort to rule over it. It was all in good time and he hoped maybe he could get some word back from the mainland. He tasked a fisherman and his crew to sail to his home of Tel'Branora to see if the mainland Telvanni were fairing well. Actions 1. The Fort consolidates and the scouting stops for now. Also does this mean I now own a tile on the eastern island? 2. Niarima and Garun lead a 100 man expedtion to the area that Niarima met the savages. They plan to either enslave or wipe them out depending on the peoples reaction to the force. 3. A crew of 10 fisherman are sent to try and get to Tel'Branora to check on the Telvanni. 4. House Telvanni Mithrad met with the studying mages and informed them on a new task he was to task them with. Growing paranoid do to the ships he had seen on the horizon Mithrad decided it was best that all of the ones that remained in the base focused on conjuration and....necromancy. This would help them get a bolster of troops ( even if they were dremora ) in a fighting situation as levies can be fickle when fighting organized troops and if Mithrad's orcish friends died he feared that melee combat would be hard on his men. Mithrad then had the same caravan at the for come back with less men and then send more wood and spear up to the fort. He decided to name it ''Fort Ulam'' after his family name. He sent a letter by bird to the fort area in order to tell them to try and find natives on the second island and to explore the land. He hoped to pit tribe against tribe and make allies and make the tribes that he wanted gone to become laborers to build more fort and maybe even another colony! He decided to promote a local levy to a level equivalent of a Telvanni member and make him the leader of his new ''army.'' Giving promotions like this helped with the public thinking he is a good lord. The levy leader was named Garun Tevaras and he decided to train his men in a spear formation that he called ''Urgax'' (its phalanx) and it was supposed to work for defense. The man had served as a minor leader in the Ashlander campaign in the old days of Vvardenfell and had some kind of fame among the common folk of Telvanni lands as he had even fought off argonians in the southern border. The man was kind overall and Mithrad even thought of him as a friend, something he rarely called people besides Niarima, he also was a hell of a drinker which made him a fun person to be with. Things were going well in the lands of Tel Holvar: For House Telvanni!! Actions 1. The fort will get extra wood and spears. 2. Around 15 men are send in groups of five from the forts to look for natives. In hopes of making friends at first and if a tribe is hostile being nice then attack later. 3. Garun Tervaras trains his levys in the Tel Holvar area to fight in Phalanx like formations. 4. Mages left in Tel Holvar will focus on conjuration and necromancy. 5. Niarima and her crew continue to go east to try and find others that are civilized.- 49 replies

House Telvanni The growth of the city was complete as the wizard tower of Tel Holvar was complete and Mithrad did not need to live in the conditions of a ashlander, but the conditions of a Telvanni Wizard!!!! With his Wizard and botanists free, he commanded three adepts to head over to the fort ground in order to help defend it in case of attack by pirates of natives. The rest he told to train in the tower in order to increase their skill in magic or other things that students did. Mithrad then gave a speech to a detachment of ''laborers'' and their guards who were part of the levy. Their task was to move logs and yurt making materials to build up the fort. The construction had already begun by the founding group, but the surplus of supplies would allow for a nice fort that was built in a style common in southern Morrowind where argonian raids were common. For now things seemed to be going a long as planned. Mithrad had a female dunmer assistant named Niarima who was a rather good speaker and would do anything to advance in House Telvanni. For this reason Mithrad spawned an idea to send her off with a detachment of 10 levies to the west where he hoped she and the men would end up meeting natives or other refugees. Maybe trade would be good as lonely dunmer breeding in a settlement for a little would most likely harm their future kin. He hoped that meeting dunmer from maybe another group...oblivions he would be fine with meeting a group of Dunmer. As much as Mithrad liked House Telvanni it would be nice to meet others as hearing old elders ramble out laborers and magic gets old for a younger House leader. Actions 1. Sent a surplus of supplies to the fort and three adepts to the fort. 2. More levies to the fort 3. Sent 10 levies with Niarima to the west ( maybe the larger islands or mainland ) 4. The remaining mages are all training- 49 replies
