I think a new, detailed map could provide useful for RP. Athera doesn't seem too RP friendly in its set-up and I think something new might work better, but only if we keep activity in our community and teams

What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is straying from the world around your real self and putting your mind into that of a new individual, acting him or her out as if you were that new individual. It is being empathic and creating a new identity for yourself. What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming is taking information that you may know or find out out-of-character and giving that knowledge to your character to gain an advantage. If I were to find out from a friend in a chat that he was RPing at the Cloud Temple, and I then logged in and traveled to the Cloud Temple to find him, I'd be metagaming. What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is giving your character an advantage over another character by giving your own character an outstanding advantage that he or she would normally be incapable of or not giving the other party ample time to respond to your action. If I were to charge at Jimbob, slamming my forehead into his, knocking him out and stealing all his minas, I'd be powergaming. What’s your character called?: - Filius Fumblewurt What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Half-Elf (Half-Dwarf) What sex are they?: - Male How old are they?: - 129 Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Filius Fumblewurt was born to the coupling of a Dwarf and an Elf, two who somehow found love in one another despite the common distaste in such an arrangement, in Normandor. Though the chances were low in conceiving a child, the two somehow brought new life into Asulon. Filius was named after his grandfather, a Mountain Dwarf of Urguan, and his father wished to see him lead a life in the mines. Though, his mother refused to allow such a disgrace fall upon the son of an Elf; he was to be pampered and raised with manners. All throughout his childhood Filius would be tugged back and forth between two differing cultures, adopting aspects of both his mother's and father's heritage. By Dwarves, Filius was bullied and called a tree-hugging pointy-ear. By Elves, he was an abomination and a scar upon Elven society. However, he kept a sort of dignity and was proud of who he was. He wasn't an Elf nor a Dwarf; he adopted the name Dwelf. When he finally reached adulthood, Filius decided he would no longer be so discriminated against between the two societies and would no longer take part between his parents' feud of what they had planned for his future. He left Malinor behind, he left his parents' given name behind, and he left the discrimination behind all to travel to the land of the Vale in hope to better fit in amongst those who were similar to him, similar to a Dwelf. Filius found no difficulty fitting in amongst Halfling society, tending to farms and eating all he could before exploding with gas. However, he still stuck out like a sore thumb. He was a halfling, but was no Halfling; he was a Dwelf and an awkward one at that. The Halflings gave him the surname of Fumblewurt because of his clumsiness and awkwardness. Though he found no discrimination in the Vale and lived a joyous life with the Halflings, he sought a greater purpose and a new way of life. Again, Filius left his home, but this time to live a life in solitude with no one but the critters of the forests. Years he would spend alone: a Dwelf in the woodlands, away from his parents, the Elves, Dwarves, and Halflings. Yet he kept up with world-wide events, sneaking onto the ships which traveled to Elysium, Kalos and Anthos. Only now, in the Fringe, has he decided to resurface and come out from the woodlands to seek a new life amongst society. What are they like (personality)?: - Filius is awkward, and often gets ahead of himself. He's rather social, never shy, and might be thought of as kind and outgoing. He will never accept being called an Elf or a Dwarf, always proudly insisting on being denoted a Dwelf. What are their ambitions?: - His wishes to experience a normal life amongst society, adopt a trade, and make friends who will not discriminate his being a Dwarf-Elf mutt. Do they have any special skills?: - Having lived in the Vale for a number of years, Filius is a great farm hand. During his time of solitude in the forests, he become quite a reader and writer, skills he had originally obtained in Normandor. What are their weaknesses?: - He is small and lacks the physical strength to take on a strong or lager foe. Filius is naive and easy to convince to one side or another, though he still has morals and a code of ethics. Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - About the size and stature of a Halfling, Filius is small and nimble. His skin is fair, like that of both of his parents, and his blonde hair and beard are silky, like that of his Elven mother's. He favors earthy colors, and so he tends to dress in greens; he even often wears a pointed green cap, which serves as a sort of trademark. Slung over his shoulder is a small leather satchel which he uses to carry cookies and silly trinkets he collects on his travels. Anything else you want to say about them?: - Filius loves sweets, especially cookies. His companionship can often even be bought with nothing more than a fresh batch of cookies.
