About an elven week or so ago the city of Polaris had fallen. In a sense. The former Duke, Duke Roland Armahnk, had disappeared without a trace. Along with the council of counts. All aside from one, Count Amondir Chrometracker. He had been out on an expedition of sorts, when a man by the name of Ulfrik came to the seemingly abandoned city, and proclaimed himself the owner. Shortly after he had done this, Amondir had returned......
Amondir approaches his home, Fort Custos, only to discover that someone has broken in, and stolen a good deal of his items. He notices one of his soldiers, Artur'de'Grau in the room. "Artur, what the fock happened?"
Artur: "I dunno boss. Somebody broke in, and took my stuff." he says before sprinting off
Agnar approaches Amondir as he searches through the fort, checking what has been stolen "Hey boss, what's going on?"
Amondir: "Not sure. We've been robbed though."
Agnar notices an unkown man wandering through the mess hall "Hey, Amondir, who's this guy?"
Amondir heads outside, and ensures the gates are closed, before looking behind him, seeing the newcomer and Agnar "Good day sir. Who might you be?"
Ulfrik: "Ulfrik. Why is it that you locked me in?"
Amondir: "We've recently been robbed you see, and are a bit uptight."
Ulfrik: "I see. Any idea who did the crime?"
Amondir: "Nay. Perhaps you may know something?"
Ulrik: "Nay. I do not."
Amondir: "Well, to inform you sir, I am the last remaining count of Polaris, and I intend to assume control of the city."
Ulfrik: "Well, I have laid claim to this land, but perhaps I could sell it to you?"
Agnar glares at Ulfrik
Ulfrik frowns wondering why the man is glaring at him
Amondir frowns, at the mentioning of 'price' "And how much would you ask?"
Ulfrik: "How does.... twenty-thousand minas sound to you?"
Amondir raises a brow "Sounds a bit too pricey."
Ulfrik: "Well, you could perhaps give the resource equivalent?"
Amondir: "Perhaps a combination of resources and minas will do hm?"
Ulfrik: "Aye. How about ten-thousand minas, and a suit of diamond armor."
Amondir frowns slightly more "I suppose I could...." he sighs "Let me head to the bank."
Ulfrik: "Sounds good. I will be waiting down in front of the gates."
Amondir heads down to the bank, withdrawing every bit of his minas, heading over to meet Ulfrik "How about eight-thousand minas?"
Agnar comes, holding the suit of armor, as requested
Ulfrik: "How about eight-thousand minas, the armor, and a bit of gold?"
Amondir frowns slightly, before nodding and heading back up to the fort. He returns moments later with a large sum of gold. "This will do, aye?"
Ulfrik nods "Aye. That will do."
Amondir extends a hand, giving Ulfrik a firm handshake, before passing him the money and the gold
Agnar hands over the suit of Armor
Ulfrik heads off out from the city "A pleasure doing business with you lads."
Amondir sighs, turning to Agnar "Well lad, we now possess the city. First things first, the name. I am thinking we switch it from Polaris, to Silverholt. What do you think?"
Agnar nods in agreement "Sounds good to me sir."
Amondir: "Alright. And I will be assuming the position of Duke of Silverholt. Should be interesting." he sighs "Most likely a bit of Political business for me to tend to now...."
Agnar grins "Aye Amondir. There probably is. It'll be fun eh?"
Amondir grins in return "Aye. It sure will be. Duke Amondir Chrometracker, I like the sound of that."
Thus Count Amondir assumes full charge of Polaris, renaming the city to that of Silverholt, and taking the position of Duke.
