Time zone:
EST. I do have school on the weekdays, so during the week I'm usually on from 4 pm to 9 pm.
Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report:
I havn't been banned or received a strike.
Do you hold / have you held any other staff positions?
No I have not held a staff postion on Lord of the Craft.
What MMORPG/video games have you / do you play? (Past and Present)
The only games that I really play are Civilization V and minecraft. When I'm on minecraft, I'm always on LotC. I spend the majority of my gaming time on minecraft too.
What are your characters? Are you willing to sacrifice any to become a Event member?
My characters are Amondir Chrometracker, and his great-grandaughter Aglareth Chrometracker. I would be willing to give up one of my characters in order to be an Event team member indeed.
What race / group do you think your events would best cater to? If none in particular, give an example of the type of group that your events would entertain.
I would like to hold events for any and all races/groups. This way I can get the maximum experience with them, and give everyone fun enjoyable events.
What do you believe are key factors for a successful event?
I believe that a successful event would hold many factors. First and foremost being a well constructed and thought out event. The event should be planned out to provide the maximum amount of enjoyability. An event should be very interesting, it should be set up to where the players can really get into the event, and it should be something that they will remember and talk about in the future.
When was the last time you saw a event?
The last event that I was at for the whole thing was the awakening of Khorvad (Iblees) at the ancient dwarf hall. I've been around for the beginning, or the end of some undead attacks, but I havn't been at the entire event.
What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team? Are you knowledgeable in lore or great at organizing?
I like to think that I am rather creative, and could come up with some very entertaining events. I think that I am fairly knowledgeable in the lore as well. I've been around for several months, and dedicated a few days to reading over lore and the forums. I'm also extremely organized. I can't stand disorderly things.
Why do you want to be part of the ET?
I want to provide fun, entertaining, interesting, memerable events for everyone. I want to enhance the players experience on LotC as much as possible. Give them some good roleplay.
*puts on five-gallon top hat* "By the people, for the people, to the people!"
Create three distinct RP scenarios/events based on LOTC lore that you would organize. These are pitches to the Managers and Ouity, not to the community. Note: Not all of the group must be handled at once. Eg: 20+ people via 5 person increments in a dungeon.
1) For 1-3 person
An anxious looking halfling enters the tavern. He walks up to a small group and speaks with them. "I've lost my most prized possesion, me golden shovel! It was stolen from me by a biggun! Can you get it back for me? I'll give you a reward!"
(If the men agree to help)
The halfling shows the men a sketch, a pretty good sketch mind you, of the thief. He then leads the men to the scene of the crime, and tells them in which direction the man went. Sending them off towards a city. "I will be waiting for you back at the tavern."
(Thus the mini-quest has begun. The theif is in the city, and it is up to the men to find him, and ask him whatever they wish. The men would discover from the theif that he used the shovel to pay off an old debt. The theif gives the men the name of whom he gave the shovel too, and tells them where he lives. It is then up to the men to head out, and speak to him. The man would tell the group that he will give them the shovel, but they must first do something for him. He gives the group the location of a house, and sends them out to collect a debt from the home's owner. It is then up to the group, to collect the debt or the collateral, and bring it back to the man. The man will then give the group the golden shovel, as promised. The group can then return to the tavern, and give the halfling his shovel. The halfling would then reward them with a bounty of food and some weaponry.)
2) For a group of 5-10
A rather rough, bulky looking dwarf approaches the inn. He carries an assorment of weapons with him. At his sides are two broad-swords of equal length. On his back he carries a mighty battle-ax, and a rather menacing warhammer. He takes a seat in the corner, near the fire. Most everyone has noticed the new-comer, and they are eying him suspiciously. He stands, climbs up onto the table, and begins to speak. "I am in need of some assistance." He looks to the people within the inn, checking to see if he has gathered their attention. "I have caught word of something rather interesting. Rumors have spread of a dragon inhabiting an abandoned mine nearby. Many have spoken of his horde of treasures, and of his lust for blood. He has destroyed many villages, and plundered many things. I myself, have discovered his home. I wish to go destroy this dragon, and take his treasures. Any who assist me will get an equal share of the treasure." He jumps off the table and looks to see if any will come.
(If people agree to fight against this dragon with him)
The dwarf leads the group to a mountian, which is home to a rather large mine. Upon arrival he inspects the walls, looking for the trigger. He presses something on the mountain-side, triggering a mechanism which reveals a small door-way. He leads the group through a cave system down to the heart of the mountain. He stops the group, and speaks with them before they move any closer to the dragon. "No turning back now. Let's do this." He draws a sword from his side, and his battle-ax from his back, before charging into the dragons lair.
(If they were to defeat the dragon each one would recieve some of the dragons horde. An equal share of iron, gold, emeralds, and other minerals that the dragon had hidden away. If the dwarf where to die in the battle then they would recieve his weaponry, and any of the other things he may carry on him.)
3) For a group of 20+
A man rides swiftly into the city on horse-back, in the middle of the night. He rides directly to . the barracks. The army is within the barracks either sleeping, or socializing. The man dismounts at the entrance, runs in, and shouts to them. "Trolls in the woods! At least three of them! Their cave has been discovered! They have been attacking the local cities, villages, and citizens in the middle of the night. I suspect they may launch another attack tonight. We must head out to their cave and attempt to stop them before they set out!"
(The men will fight anywhere from three to five trolls, depending on how many agree to ride out. After the battle, if the trolls are dead, a reward will be given out. The men will recieve whatever loot the trolls have aquired, and hidden away within their cave.)
((I've decided to add an event to my list, in an attempt to make an event as redxophos suggested. One that isn't based around PvP or PvE))
For a group of any size
A small mysterious old man waddles into the inn. His clothes would appear tarnished and ragged. Upon him is a scraggly beard and a mat of unkempt hair. He wars strange jewelry, looking more similar to artifacts than actual jewelry. An odd aura emanates from the man. He waddles up to the center of the inn, receiving strange looks as he does so. Upon arriving in the center of the room he would clear his throat, then look around the room to see if he has gathered the men's attention. He would then begin to unravel a strange tale. "Lads. I know of a strange and mysterious place. Deep, deep, deep down within the heart of a mountain is where it lies. It is a maze of sorts, or rather, a labyrinth I should say. This labyrinth, it would appear to be ancient. Peculiar unexplained ruins lie within. It is rumored that a great treasure is within the center of the labyrinth. It has been told that an ancient spirit guards the treasure, awaiting an adventurer worthy enough to claim it. Some say that the spirit has set up a series of tests within the labyrinth. Tests of different kinds. Physical tests, mental tests, emotional tests even. It has been said that only an adventurer who holds the ability to pass this series of tests will satisfy the spirit and claim the treasure. Many adventurers have entered the labyrinth in search of this treasure, yet none have returned. Several expeditions have been sent into the labyrinth, and all were never heard from or seen again. Some would say that the treasure is nothing more than a fabled myth. Others say that the spirit twists and changes the labyrinth making it impossible to find the treasure until he deems you worthy. Others still say, that the spirit himself comes to lure people into his labyrinth and put them through a series of impossible tests simply for his entertainment. We may never solve the mystery of this labyrinth." The man would grin ever so slightly before his next statement. "However, I am here to see if any of you lads think you are up to the task."
((If anyone declares themselves up for the challenge))
The old man hobbles along with the adventurer(s) in tow. He would lead them to the base of a mountain. In front of them stands a doorway. The doorway is a perfect rectangular hole in the mountain. It is ten meters high, and five wide. "Lads, this is the entrance to the labyrinth. From here on out I leave it up to you. Best of luck." The old man would seemingly disappear into thin air a few moments after his statement, leaving the group with another mystery on their hands.
((When the group enters the labyrinth the door somehow closes behind them. They are then trapped within the labyrinth, and have no choice but to go on. As they adventure through the labyrinth they will face a series of puzzles. If they successfully solve these puzzles they will manage to advance through the labyrinth, coming ever closer to the treasure. If they solve the puzzles incorrectly they may begin to wonder through the labyrinth aimlessly. However, it is possible to get back on the right track even if the group loses themselves in the maze. If the group manages to solve all the puzzles and make it to the center of the labyrinth they will see nothing but a empty circular room with multiple entrances...))
All doors to the small room suddenly begin to close. Then the old man from the inn would appear infront of the group. His form would change from what it initially was to a tall royal figure dressed in a suit of light chain-mail, the hilt of a broadsword at his belt, and a silver crown atop his head. "Well done adventurers. I am the guardian of this labyrinth, and the treasure within. You have passed all of my tests, and I have deemed you worthy of the treasure within." He would step to the side, motioning to the center of the room. The floor of the room would slowly drop out revealing a hidden staircase. "Come along, great adventurers." The spirit would then lead them down the stairwell into an unadorned room. Within it lay a few small chests, each holding different items. "What is it that your heart desires? Do you wish for weaponry? Armor? Valuable ores? Or perhaps knowledge? Name your desire to me."
((The spirit will hand out rewards varying upon what each member of the group says he wants. If he desires weaponry then he shall be given an assortment of ancient tools of war. If he desires armor he shall be given a suit of fine ancient mail. If he desires valuable ores he will be given an assortment of iron, gold, diamonds, and emeralds. If he desires knowledge then he shall be given books containing information of high value.))
((Some ideas for the puzzles: There would be a sign in the room with a question on it. Then all passages out of the room would have signs with answers on it. In order to know which to take you must figure out the answer to the questions. Another idea would be to have pictures hanging above the passageways with a sign hinting as to which is the correct one. They have to figure which is the correct image and take that pathway.))
How long do you plan to stay in the ET?
Well, I plan to stay an ET as long as I stay on LotC. Which right now, is looking like it'll be a long time.
Tell me a joke:
Dear Mr.Starr,
The test on the dress came back inconclusive. Everyone in Arkansas has the same DNA.
Apologies,
