What is roleplaying?: For me Role Playing is living your character. Fully immersing yourself in everything your character is doing and responding/acting in a fashion that would fit the character you are portraying. What is metagaming?: Oh I know this one! A Meta snitch is like leaking info about an event that your character wouldn’t actually know anything about. Reading something in chat, but not seeing who is chatting but then responding to it. Maybe you see a name plate in the bush but cannot see the character but act like you know they are there. Meta birds are another example. Sending or receiving birds when realistically it wouldn’t make sense having done so. Meta stalling is another example. So calling your OOC mates to come help you. When realistically IC they wouldn’t even know something was happening not being there themselves. What is powergaming?:Instead of saying Taa’gan prepares to throw his axe and the Dwarf. You would say Taa’gan throws his axe, hitting the dwarf in the chest. So basically saying or doing something that doesn’t give room for reply. In-Character Information Character’s name: Taa’gan Character’s gender: Male Character’s race: Uruk Character’s age: 25 Human years or 100 Orc Seasons. Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): (I hope this isn’t too long). Taa'gan, an Uruk of average size, in the eyes of most others of his kind, stalked an unusually large Jabbawack. He had purposefully made a wide circle around the large beast, positioning himself down wind, so as not to give away his position. It was a well-known fact that Orcs had a strong scent. A fact that Taa'gan would not let destroy this rare opportunity. Ever present hunger was not all that drove Taa'gan to follow such an unusual quarry, for an unarmed single Uruk. No something more was his goal, his purpose. He needed to grow in strength and prowess. Ever pushing himself toward new challenges that would test his very skill. As Taa'gan crouched low watching this magnificent bull of a Jabbawack, his thoughts began to drift back to a time when his parents were still alive. To a time fifty Orc seasons prior, one man year after he had become a fully developed Uruk. Taa'gans parents were nothing special. His father an ample warrior and his mother a skilled huntress. Both living a nomadic life. Yet there was something odd about these mates. They had both chosen to live separate lives from the Clan and raise their cubs Taa'gan and his younger sister Kela in a way that would break tradition. To this day their reasons are lost on Taa'gan. His father never once told his son why they alienated themselves from the rest of the Clan. But looking back now, any reason he might have given, if only he did, would not be worth the price they all paid. One hot morning upon the dunes, Taa'gan had been sent out to hunt prey, and bring home food for their family. But unbeknown to the small nomadic family, this was the last day they would spend together. After a long day's hunt, Taa'gan began his return back to the families rude camp, with three game beasts hung over his shoulder. Their legs tied together, with heads dangling lifeless. Their very essence being clotted and dried down their open necks. Proof of a quick death. Taa'gan crested the last dune that led to the campsite. Suddenly dropping the three kills, Taa'gan burst into a full run toward the site of what remained of his family. Lying upon the ground were a half dozen dead slavers and his parents. Both of Taa'gan's parents lay filled with black arrows, his mother lay meters away from her own head. Filled with rage, Taa'gan took up pursuit. They couldn't have gotten far. But despite his best efforts he could not find the slavers that slaughtered his mother and father and stole away his younger sister Kela whom was only 23 in Orc seasons. Once deep into human lands his sister was all but dead. To begin with Taa'gan blamed himself for all that had happened. For not being capable of finding Kela and exacting revenge upon the cruel slavers. But in the end he saw the truth of the matter. None of this would have happened if they resided within the united protection of the Clan. Not even the boldest of slavers would dare attack an Orc Clan. No, this was the result of the choices his parents had made many seasons earlier. On that day Taa'gan made a sacred vow to himself. He vowed he would never repeat the mistakes his parents had made. He vowed to return to the Clan and thus protect his future offspring and that of the Clans. But before he could return, he needed to become a mighty warrior, to become strong and powerful. Then, and only then, will he return and find the first Orc of status and give him a good kick in the gut. Personality Traits: Taa’gan is loyal yet competitive. He has strong beliefs in unity, yet can fend for himself. Taa’gan is not stupid, and can weigh up tactical situations well, although if you cross him he will not hesitate to put you in your place whether that be in the ground or upon a spike. Taa’gan hates slavers! Has a keen interest in metal. Loves a good laugh. Ambitions: Taa’gan seeks to return to the Clan and prove that he can be a vital addition to it. Strengths/Talents: Taa’gan can motivate others toward a common goal. He is a good follower of strong leadership. He also has a basic understanding of how a forge works and how to shape metal upon a crude anvil. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Does not easily pick up on when being lied to. Can be persuaded or manipulated to follow the crowd whether for good ends or bad. Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Taa’gan is 7ft6 and is around 140kg’s. His skin colour is a deep green. Has a scar that cuts through his left brow, narrowly missing his eye and ending down his left cheek. Has small to average size tusks/bottom canines. Taa’gan is massive by human standards but of average size compared with others of his kind.
