  1. The Apostles of Christ Samuel walked through the streets of the mud city, gun at the ready as he patrolled the streets with 5 other men. Divided into two columns going by both sides of the streets. Patrolling the block falling under the purview of the apostles, generally speaking it was relatively active with people working hard. But the former residential area was still mostly abandoned. And abandoned areas were always at risk for a variety of threats. Whether it was something small like a few rabid dogs, some squatter hiding in one of the many downtrodden houses, there was always the possibility of danger for them. Which is why he and some of the more militant forces kept an eye on the streets and spent their time patrolling. Luckily, they did not have to handle any kind of 'policing duty’ some of the former vault dwellers spoke off. A strange notion to Samuel, law and order. If some law was to be maintained it was done so by armed forces. 'Civil disputes’ as much as they were a thing in the wasteland, were handled by people themselves. Most often by force. With the apostles, it was generally quite different. Most disputes were quickly and efficiently handled by Jacob, skillfully seeing the root of the issue and convincing the two offending parties to settle down. There were always the other cases..... the cases where one of the sides acted truly inhuman. Those cases were not common, but at those times Jacob could be quite scary. And Samuel had seen scary. The ruthlessness of the gang bosses, the degeneracy of the people and the various mutations that spread. And yet, there was a far more disconcerting when father Jacob said that someone had to be granted 'the final mercy’. The cold, tired and disappointed look, almost empty at those few times. It honestly scared him more than the joyful eyes of raiders with an execution, the enjoyment they got from debauchery. But those eyes..... those eyes could at times be a lot scarier. Knowing that the man who was normally so kind and inspiring, could condemn people to death, the sheer disparity in behavior. It was disconcerting. Samuel then clenched his fist, his mind should not be wandering like this. That was how people died, by not paying attention to their surroundings. Then they got ambushed by a pack of ghoul or shot in the head by other raiders. Or you died by drinking irradiated water from the river, or by being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Fact was, there were a lot of ways to die but not paying attention to your surroundings was one of the major causes of death. As they crossed the street he passed by one of the recently established construction yards. Seeing a few dozen people working to gather resources from a stone building that had collapsed long ago. Knowing info was crucial he approached one person separating nails from wooden planks. So that the wooden plank could be re-used again whilst the rusty nails could be melted down into new materials. Samuel recognized only the man's face, having seen him in Samuel's Sunday Sermons. But that was something that nearly all apostles went to, so it didn't differentiate the man much. Samuel addressed the man"Eyy, did you see anything weird around here ? Weird people walking around, rabid dogs etc. you know the jib.” The man looked a little surprised before he answered. "No good sir, we have just been working. There have been no signs of anything suspicious.” Samuel let out a sigh of relief. Though the man could have missed it, it at least meant that no clear or obvious threats were present. That it suggested that this would be a normal, routine patrol. It was boring but he knew that boring was always better than terror. And thus he continued on with his patrol. 2. The Apostles of Christ At the Dawn's early light, they arrived. A large procession of people dressed in a combination of rags and vault-tec suits, a long trail of the young, the old and the desperate. The entirety of what remained of the residents of Vault 48. Which was still the large majority, but some of the secrets of the wasteland had to be discovered the hard way. Through the blood and lives of brave pilgrims. But now they had reached the promised land, perhaps one of danger as well but one that should give them enough shelter and resources to be able to protect themselves and spread the words of Christ the Redeemer. Walking at the head of the large column were two men. One seemed middle-aged, relatively clean skin and in long brown robes. Brown-hair braided down his back reaching halfway down the man's back. A bright and hopeful look in his eyes, a small cheerful twinkling in them. Even as he felt the blisters on his feet from all the walking, he kept smiling and having this cheerful look. The man next to him looked far more weathered and a more natural citizen of the wasteland, clothing made of many ragged parts and stitched together. A dangerous look in his eyes, constantly glancing around him, looking for any danger. Ready to pull the trigger of his gun at the first sign of danger. The eyes of a warrior, one who had seen much and lived through the harsh wasteland one way or another. Though in his eyes, there was also a somber and sad look. As if deep regret was etched into his souls. Then they saw it, past the increasing urban density of the villages and town surrounding it, the mud city. It would be a lie to say it looked glorious, for it did not. It was a hollowed out shell, filled with greenery and broken concrete. One might almost call it a necropolis, yet even in these ruins there was life. Even from the distance they could hear the sounds of birds twittering, seeing a mutated deer with two heads walking through the street. It was not a city as they were shown in the videos and pictures. The one before the great judgement, but there was still life in it. It may have changed, mutated and corrupted but there was still a beating heart in the city. And where there was life there could be redemption. And who else would redeem the city than the Apostles of Christ. Before fully entering the threshold of the city, the brown haired kindly man turned towards the crowd and started speaking. "Children of God. Our time has come.” "As the promised land for Moses was Judea, now for us it is Chicago.” He motioned to the city behind him. "This is no Eden, it is closer to Sodom, but it is our promised land. This might not be the land that we deserve, but it is the land we need. And the land needs us. Now we shall bring light and the word of Christ the Redeemer to this new land.” And then they continued on. A short speech but one to help increase the vigor of the heart, to increase the passion of the people so they would push on. It was a hard life in the wasteland, one that would have much grief, hardship and death. But Jacob and the Apostles of Christ knew that with their fate in God guiding them, as long as they kept purity in their hearts, they would persevere. 3. Faction Name: The Disciples of Christ (more commonly referred to as the Disciples) Civilization type: Civilized Starting Points: Pop stack (5 points), Tech Bonus (3 points), Production of equipment (2 points) Faction backstory: There once was a vault known as 48, one in which the followers of Christ were gathered. Where they would survive the apocalypse like Noah survived the great flood. In this vault they awaited for centuries, waiting for the sign that life was once again possible. The sign of a bird flying overhead, the sign that it was time for the disciples to inherit the earth. And thus, one day after centuries of waiting, it was determined that God's wrath had lessened enough that they could tread onto the soil of the earth once more. Though this might also have been motivated by the fact that food supplies in the vault had rapidly been dwindling. As such the disciples went out onto the earth, and found it wicked. Society had degenerated. Where the sins of man should have been cleansed now they were more present than ever. And it was realized that in the aftermath of God's judgement, what was really needed was the mercy of Christ. To have man love each other, and be loved. And for the sinner and the wicked, those who could not be redeemed, they would be granted the final mercy of Christ, the mercy of the bullet. After finding the earth as violent as it was, the Disciples headed to the mud city. To gather resources and build a stronghold. A bastion in which man can live in peace, to follow the word of the lord God and to rebuild. The journey to the mud city was harsh, many died in it, yet now the apostles have arrived. And now they shall spread the word of God. Characters: Father Jacob: Father Jacob is the leaders of the apostles of Christ. Born like nearly all others in vault 48, where he was raised with kindness and mercy. He especially took an interest in the scripture and the sermons of the priests of the ark. Spending his evenings and free time reading the bible and contemplating the word of God. Until one day being inducted into the ranks of the priesthood himself, until one day through his charisma, leadership and devotion he ascended to the position of First Father. The senior priest of the vault and the leader of the disciples. Shortly after becoming the First Father, and as he found out the dwindling supplies of the vault, he made the hard choice to leave the vault. To brave the wilds of the new world, even as the fallout has not completely settled. Where he has been forced to grow more harsh, still holding onto the mercy of Christ, but realizing that sometimes a clenched fist is needed where an open hand will fail. That in order to protect the faithful, a shield and more harsh measures are necessary. Samuel: Samuel is a former member of the Pitt. A skilled raider who brought in many slaves and who fought and killed many in combat. Yet even as he grew and prospered as a warrior, his soul grew more pained. More heavy from all the sins he committed. Haunted by the voices and eyes of those he had killed, those he had doomed to slavery. Until one day it was too much, he helped enable a slave uprising and then fled the Pitt. Heading to someplace far away, his goal the Mud City. Whilst on his way, he met the disciples and joined up with them to gain more safety in numbers, and because he felt a bit of sympathy for the naïve and unprepared followers. Thus he spoke of the truth of the wasteland, it's factions and ruthlessness. Training several men in the ways of combat. As he travelled and trained with them, he could not help but feel the pull of their philosophy. The idea that after all the sins he committed he could be redeemed. As such one day he confessed to the first father and was forgiven. Since then Samuel has been a faithful follower of the disciple, with the wish to protect their beautiful ideas. To commit the sins of murder so as to protect the faithful. Discord: Thou has it.

  6. Name: Matthew der Waal Age: 22 Gender: Male Description: Matthew der Waal is visually an average person. Has brown hair, brown eyes, some cheekbones that stand out a bit, a lanky figure etc. All in all not that unusual appearance wise. Excluding the fact that in public he is constantly wearing glasses and walking with a 1,5 meter long white cane. His eyes are always partially closed and does move in the direction where sound comes from. But he can't see anything. Other than that he Generally likes to wear black pants, a dark-greyish cardigan and a white shirt under it. Backstory: Matthew der Waal has been blind since his birth. Much to the initial despair of his parents. To which Matthew was mostly oblivious, not understanding the source of their distress. As he grew older he was of course bullied for his visual impairment, called freak and a target for verbal and physical harassment. This led Matthew to seek refuge in music. Learning to play the cello and overtime, growing in skill and ability. Eventually, once he finished high school he went to the new york conservatory. Where he learned the more formal forms of music and where he recently graduated. His parents and their family can trace their family line back to the original founders of New York. Back when it was just New Amsterdam. Originally being poor settlers in need of new oppertunities. Matthew is generally quite a caring person. Seeking to give comfort to his friends and trying in whatever way he can. Occasionally he does that too much, as on some occasions he leaves his own problem by the wayside whilst solving those of others. He is also quite introverted, having difficulty with making social contact. Though he does have a small social circle with trusted friends. His hobbies include playing the cello, jogging and DnD. 9. The Dominion of Badab The stars twinkled in the dark sky, hovering above the planet of Badab. The faint light reflected in the small pools of water in the jungle. Even as artificial light shone brightly outwards. Lightening the planet's dark sky, creating a near eternal dawn. Especially in the similairly named capital of Badab. Which was quite humble compared to the capitals of other stellarchies. This extended to the planet of Badab as a whole. It was only lightly settled, with most of the civilian population dedicated to either any one of the government agencies or the small fuel extraction operations on the planet. Barely two billion souls on the planet in total. It was lightly settled, and most of the population was centered around the capital city itself. Which was itself dedicated mostly to bureaucratic purposes. In order to process any amount of legislation determined by the Tyrant or from the Senate (in the events that such galactic wide laws were spread). The city itself was filled with tall buildings, skyscrapers aiming towards the sky. And in in one of the smaller residential skyscrapers, sitting on the balcony of the penthouse sat the Tyrant of Badab. Maru Parata. The man was generally speaking, quite plain. A man with short dark-brown hair, always kept in good order with a decent amount of gel. A hard jaw, which most would see as a detriment. Hard calloused hands, gained from a youth working on a farm and in the military. Both hard jobs, which had left it's scars on him. Like a scar of a bullet hole in the right chest, accompanied with craked ribs. A streak of scar tissue on the arm as he was hit in a glancing blow by an Irik bullet and thus one could go on for at least a minute. But to some, it had a certain appeal. It certainly had to his first wife, Iwa, until she had died back when he was a general. It was not the result of an assassination, Irik assault or anything dramatic like that. She had simply had a bad pregnancy followed by a terrible labor. She had manged to bring him Tane, the soft artistic, creative boy who he loved with all his heart. But he would still have preffered her to be with him. Seeing her boys grow up. Especially Kimo, who had recently started at the officer training academy, he still remembered his own time there. It was hard, both physical and mental training, though he especially remembered the physical hardships. He wondered if Kimo suffered from that same old, insufferable drill sergeant. Posssibly. From what he heard he was doing good academically speaking. Though from the messages he got from Kimo, he seemed to be less than comfortable in some ways. Perhaps it was the pressure he put on the boy with his status, it certainly set high expectations. As Maru melancholically looked in the sky, wondering if he could see the star where his sun was, he heard something quietly walking behind him. Trying to sneak up to him, instinctively his hand went to his personal knife he had with him all the time, though it immediately stopped as he realized who there actually was. It was his sweet little daughter Hanga. Who giggled as she saw that he had noticed her. Hanga was a girl now six years of age, with a beautiful laugh and an almost constant bright smile. Maru got a smalls smile as he saw her approach and grabbed her with two hands and said in a mock-angry tone. "Ah, I see I am being stalked by an assasin.” To which Hange giggled loudly. Maru would have tickled her, as he had in the younger days of Kimo and Tane. But unfortunately, that was not possible for her, or at least would not have any effect. For Hanga was covered all over by hard scales. In the Dominion of Badab 'scales’ were quite common. But generally speaking, the skin was still semi-soft and only showed slight signs of scales/carpace. But there was a radical condition, which made some people 'the faceless’, referring to the fact that outside of badab, they were always forced to wear a mask. For they could easily be mistaken as alien. Their outer carapace was hard, still having a nerve system, but one which was far weaker than that of normal human or even 'scales’. On top of that, they were completely bald, with no hair whatsoever. Finished off by the fact that their eyes were almost like that of a serpent. With a dark vertical slit in the middle. This was a rare genetic trait, and was only seen among 0,5% of the population of Badab. Unfortunately, Maru and his second wife Isala both had a recessive trait which could cause this effect. And unfortunately, they had both times rolled badly on the dice. It did not make him love them any less. But he could not help but feel sad as he realized people would always look at them weirdly, especially foreign visitors. Unable to show their face anywhere outside of the Dominion of Badab. Or they would face the risk of being mistaken as an alien and subsequently lynched. And that was on top of the pressure of having him as a father. The Tyrant of Badab, a man who could be feasibly be put in the top 100 of most powerful people in the empire, the Stellarch presiding over billions uppon billions of souls. And yet, each day as he came up that beautiful smile reminded him what he worked for. The long hours, the hard decisions, the dealing with the infinite ranks of imbeciles. It was all to help protect them. As his mind wandered he felt something pull, and he realized that she was pulling at his cheek and his smile once more returned. "So little assasin, what brings you here to my inner sanctum ?” "Mommy says that food is ready, and that you should not be silly and keep looking at the sky all night.” Mary could not help but snort as he heard that. He then grabbed Hanga and pulled her upwards, putting her on his shoulder whilst she squeeled in delight and giggled. "Well let's see what mommy has cooked then.” He then walked back into the penthouse, his reminiscing distracted. For now. Actions: Military: With the constant threats of the pirates and the irik looming over the Dominion, the constant militerization continues. Seeking to built a navy in order to bring a deathly strike to either. As such a single cruiser and a destroyers are constructed in the shipyards of the Dominion. (5M, 17,5kC & 5NP) 2 Raven class corvettes are constructed. As covert information is a valuable resource. Now more than ever. (5,5kC, 2M, 1E & 1NP) Furthermore, in order to help with the defense of the planet of Uraika, an artillery batallion is raised. In part to help take down enemy troop transport. (2,5kC, 2M & 2AP) In order to accomedate the new legions and fleets raised due to the civil war: 3 generals are recruited. 1 Admiral are recruited (75kC) Total cost: 98kC, 1E & 8M An unescorted freigher, carrying 1M is sent as a donation to stellarch Aotea. At least officially. Unoficially, inside of the metal alloy, there are several signals which are sending a specific, low detection signal on a high frequency. In order to track where the metal is going, which hopefully turns out to be a pirate base, or at least pirate sympathizers. Civilian: In order to help in information gathering operations with pirates. A large amount of operatives are trained in order to help infiltrate pirate operations and keep track of their fleets and support infrastructure. As well as helping to create cover stories of criminal activities, in order to make them seem like realistic recruits.(14,318kC) In order to help maintain the new fleets that have been brought with the economic stimulus. Two heavy industry is corrected on the planet of Marudon. (56E) (2B & 10kC) With food and other strategic resources rapidly becoming more important. 3 Heavy industry is built on Osalin, to help increase the speed of food manufactoring. (3B & 15kC) With large amounts of funds now temporarily available, as well as an excess of buildings that would otherwise go to waste, a large public construction project is commisioned. Specifically, constructing a large amount of public housing. This project has several goals, which are: -To increase the quality of life -Appease the populists so that they don't revolt -Make it so people have more funds available for other (luxury) purchases. This public housing is set up in such a way that for every 10 families/apartments there is a communal kitchen. And that for every 40 families/apartments there is a communal shower. And other basic quality of life measures. The housing itself is to be made cheap. At such a price rate that people with a low-quality jobs can easily afford it. And the housing only being available to people with an income equivalent to that of a low-class income. This should help make it so that the citizens living in these apartments can live there without too much concern for not making end's meet. Making them have enough money available for groceries and perhaps giving extra money for more luxury items. Which will improve general consumerism. Or encourage more parents to send their children to higher education. 10. The Dominion of Badab The planet Marudon. It is a planet of very rocky disposition, having only a light atmosphere, and barely able to sustain life. With native flore and fauna being limited to a few mosses which manage to survive the solar radiation that passes through the atmosphere and the insects that eat them. Furthermore, the planet is heavy with seismic activity. The planet still being relatively young and thus ever shifting. Depending on day or night the temperature can shift immensely. Going from -43 degrees Celcius at night to 53 degrees celcius during the day. The planet was almost inhospitable to life. But luckily (or unlucky depending on the person), the seismic activity and the core of the planet has made it a planet with a lot of fuel and it is easy to acces. Which is why the human colonists millenia ago decided to colonize it. Rather than making the rational decisions to stay the hell away from this planet. Amongst other things, Marudon is also known as being the origin of the mutation that has made a large part of the Dominion's population have a scale like hide. In order to adapt better to the constant low-level solar radiation and the shifting temperatures. Thus, it was not an exaggeration to call it a hell hole. Where no man or women would ever wish to live. Which is of course why the Ministry of Recruitment declared that the planet was the perfect training ground for military units. And thus Kimo groaned, as he and the other two dozen officer cadets jogged through the sunny side of the planet. Sweat coming from his brows and body in the bucketfuls. As he panted and groaned but kept running. He could not help but look in envy at the 'scales’, those people of Badab who had long adapted to this climate. Who, still found it a bit of effort, but only as much as any other jog in relatively warm weather would be. At least he had the satisfaction of knowing how the scales shivered when they were out in the cold. As the containment suits were far more effective in heating than cooling. It still did not help too much, as inside his suit the temperature was 40 degrees celcius, though outside the temperature was 52 degrees. He could not help but feel faint, his body swaying as he ran over the rocky terrain. But even then he could not let his attention slip. One careless moment would have one of the rocky spikes on the ground pierce through his boots. Or have him trip into a gully and break his toes. He had seen both things happen to some of his companions. Almost every day, Kimo cursed himself for deciding to join the military and voluntarily going to this hell hole. But, though the pain, soreness, exhaustion and frustration seemed constant. He knew he had to push through. He kept reminding himself that this made him tougher, more ready to face the Irik. But it remained just enough to not give up. Though to be fair, such was true of all the people that he knew here. Finally, the drill sergeant said they could take a rest. Immediately Kimo leaned with his hands on his knees. Heavily panting as his sore moments got a moment of recovery. Though that, if anything, made the pain and soreness more noticeable. Which had been lost in the trance of the jogging and the heat. Then, he heard the cursed voice of the drill sergeant shouting through his comm (and very faintly from outside, even though they were only a meter away.) "DO TWENTY PUSH UPS YOU MISERABLE WRETCHES !!! OR I WILL HAVE YOUR ASS HANDED TO YOU” And thus the unit of two dozen did twenty pushups. In a temperate Gym, without a heavy suit to push up. An easy task, almost not a thought at all. But with the heavy atmospheric suit and the immensely high temperature. It was a feat that pushed the recruits to the brink. (At least the fully human ones. For the Scales it was only relatively hard task.) Kimo counted his pushups, unaware of how effective his companions were doing. Just focused on one more pushup, just one more. And then, almost without realizing it, he hit twenty. And he immediately flopped fully onto the rocky ground. Breathing heavily whilst his muscles burned. Only vaguely hearing the sound of the sergeant shouting at him. Then he felt something pick him up under his arm pits and saw the sergeant shout. "AND STAY UP YOU SCUM !!! DON'T YOU DARE LAY DOWN AGAIN UNLESS YOU EXPECT NEVER TO GET UP AGAIN. UNDERSTOOD PRIVATE !!!” It was all he could do to say, in the midst of paning. "Ye- yes *pant* sergeant.” Then he stood there. And he once again heard the sound of the drill serageant to continue jogging. And thus his torment continued, as he had to jog in this horrible climate. ANd as such, the first concious sign that he was not outside anymore was when he heard the hissing of an airlock. And the immediate cooling of the temperature. As he heard the sergeant command them to take a shower and remove their suit. Kimo removed his helmet and subsequently sat down on a bench. Staying there for almost a minute, even though he knew he should get into the showers to help his muscles relax. Then he felt a shove as he saw one of the scales looking up at him. One known as Oriki. Who snarled at him and said. "A little excercise too hard for you, tyrant”. The scaled human then left, turning his back to Kimo. As if not acknowledging him as a threat. This made frustration and anger bloom in him, but he repressed it. Then Kimo Parata, son of the Tyrant of Badab, groaned and removed his suit. And once again wondered why he ever decided to join up with the military. Actions: Military: Further militerization continues on Marudon (56E) in order to help quickly mobilize an army in times of need. 3 Armories are built (22,5kC & 6B) (size 3) An L.S.R.B. is built on/near the planet of Uraika (31D), enabling an advanced warning of any Irik assaults and enabling the fleet from the nearby system to arrive in time for reinforcements. (10kC, 2B & 2M) (size 1) On top of that extra fortifications are constructed/repaired on the planet of Uraika (31D), in order to defend against possible Irik assault. Even though the troops there ever growing more anxious for some shields to protect them. (10kC, 3B & 2M) (Size 2) 3 destroyers are built in order to help with future escort duties as well as to supplement the already present navy of the dominion. Especially due to it's profficiency with screening (4M, 15kC & 4NP) On top of that 2 freighters are built for future use (5kC, 2M & 2NP) Total cost: 72,75kC, 10M & 11B (7NP) Civilian: 0,625kC is stored. Import/Export: Import: 1E is imported from Aalamar (Will) Export: 10F is exported to Orteau (Alex) 2B is exported to Aalamar (Will) Escorts: 2 cruisers, 1 heavy cruiser & 4 corvettes
  11. The Dominion of Badab Actions: Military: Just a strong navy is not enough for the Dominion. A strong army is needed as well. As such a large investment is put into the planet of Marudon (56E) to turn part of the planet into a large recruitment ground for troops. As well as establishing the military-industrial complex on the planet neccesary for arming large amounts of troops. 4 Armories are built (30kC & 8B) (size 4) A heavy cruiser is constructed ( 15kC, 4M & 4NP) A cruiser is constructed (10kC, 3M & 3NP) Total cost: 45kC, 7M & 8B (7NP) Civilian: 4 Heavy Industry is constructed on the planet of Yinaris. In order to help solve a pressing lack of Materials for the construction of both fleet based and ground based forces for the Dominion. The gateway must remain secure. (4B, 20kC) (Size: 16) Food is exported to Orteau (10F) Due to the fact that there is a large excess of fuel. A public offer is made. Any merchant or enterprising civilian who wants to can buy a unit of Fuel for the cheap price of 1k per unit. (10 Fuel available) After a joke amongst populist senators that they needed a place of their own as well, what with the Tentiert and Dryden estates being a spot for their respective groups as well. But in the end it turned out that it might be nice to actually have a place of their own. Though far more humble than those high class estates. As such on a spot on the capital moon a humble bar is built. Large enough to accommodate about 40 or so guests at maximum capacity. The bar itself is to be styled after middle class bars that could be found on Kaumai itself. With entertainment like dart boards and pool tables and a small tv in the corner where 20 people can watch local sports. Though in contrast to the usual bar, there are about 3 alcoves that can be used for private discussion as well. The intent is that the bar can be used for senators to talk and unwind after tense sessions in the senate (or take shelter). And for guests/represenatives from the lower class of Kaumai to have an easier time conversing with a smaller barrier between the senators and a familiar environment. What the building lacks in rich decor and extrevegance it makes up for in security. With most funds being dedicated to hiring security to protect the populist senators. Whilst the excess building material is used to fortify the building against thing like car bombings or other vehicles trying to crash into it. Gas attacks and/or something else coming with great force from above. With the small, dirty cherry on top being a tunnel under one of the tables that can be used for the senators and high profile guests to escape the establishment. The name of the Establishment, "The Pit”. 11,725kC & 1B Total cost: 20kC, 4B, 10P
  12. The Dominion of Badab Mahina Paewai walked through the crowded streets of Badab, notepad in her arm and her other hand empty as her cold blue eyes surveyed the street and the people walking in them. Though at the moment she did not have her official uniform on, people instinctively made a wide berth around her. Feeling strangely unsettled by the young looking woman. Who, despite her relatively short stature and generally pretty blonde features, seemed to bring a cold aura in the constantly warm and humid environment of Badab. In which a majority of the planet was still covered by excessive jungle, with only some parts of it being urbanized by cities, governmental building and the occasional fuel refinery. Billowing smoke in the air which was quickly turned into oxygen by the excessive plant life. Her boots seemed to almost echo, even though the streets were crowded. And no one was eager to talk to her. No one with any IQ in their brain that was. Whilst halfway through surveying the streets, making excessive notes on the notepad she hear some whistling and saw a group of about 4 youngsters ranging from roughly 17-25 leaning against one of the buildings. Which happened to be a food manufacturer, dedicated to providing rations for naval personnel. Which had recently seen an increase of efficiency of about 12% The young men themselves were not all that impressive. Seemed to be middle class, and seemed to be all pure human as well. All wearing sleeveless shirts and no caps or headgear at all. She immediately felt contempt as she saw them. She knew their type and it was not one she approved of. Generally speaking they were, inside of the Administration, called class F's. Which meant that they were avid pro-humans and felt that they should have better rights and jobs than those who had the Alfar-2 mutation. (Though almost everyone called it scales). Statistically speaking Class F's reported an average of 18% decreased workplace efficiency compared to all other classes. With classes being a term that was used by the Administration to classify people with certain behavioral patterns which impacted their workplace productivity depending on their interactions. Generally speaking, she disliked class F's and she rarely had to interact with them. As they rarely achieved high ranking positions. She heard the oldest one, who she quickly identified as 24 based on his length and general build. Called out to her in a rough voice "Hey beautiful, do you have a free moment. Because you're sexy and I'd like to get close to you.” There were a few catcalls at that tremendously bad pickup line. Though, the more sensible people on the street silently agreed. That was definitely a terrible pickup line. She replied with a curt and icy. "No” The general common people on the street felt a shiver going up their spine as she spoke. Now veering even further away from the situation in the center. Even the three other members of the four man ***** started to look uncomfortable. But the oldest and clearly stupidest of the quartet didn't pick up any of the signs. Huffing and saying. "I just said you looked nice. Learn to take a compliment.” Mahina gave a withering glare at the boy and then just shook her head and decided to walk away. She then felt how a hand had clasped around her right wrist. And a frustrated immature voice saying. "Don't turn your back on me !” Almost immediately after she twisted around and in an almost methodical move tightened and twisted the arm of the offending youth and just as he cried out in pain his vision flashed as he felt a harsh impact arrive on his face. He then faintly saw how the blonde haired, icy eyed woman grabbed a small handkerchief from her pocket and wiped of some blood and snot from her white gloves. As she did so she casually said. "Under code B-43 of the Badab code of law. Relating to the physical injury of harrasment what you just commited was a misdemeanor. Under subclause B-43-Delta I am allowed to phsyical defend myself against an assumed agressor.” She then turned her eyes on him, and the young man finally felt goosbumps go up his spine as she spoke, almost as if making a promise. "I advise you to not continue your present line of action, or further reprecussions will occur.” And at that moment, Anakale gulped loudly as he heard the unspoken threat of pain and simply nodded. Satisfied Mahina turned her back and continued walking up the street. All and all this encounter had cost one minute of her time. An uncomfortable delay in her schedule. She would have to speed up now which was quite unfortunate. Her mind had already passed the incident just now and was just thinking about the effect it had on her right now. Actions: Military: 4 shipyards are built on the planet of Badab itself (16E) with the purpose of further enhancing the naval forces of the Dominion. Since at the moment the number of ships is dreadfully low. (40kC &8B) The worry about Irik forces in the North does not relent, and neither does the construction on Uraika. The fortifications on the planet continue to be repaired and more forces garrisoned on it. 13. The Dominion of Badab Anakoni Ausage, the Arero of the empire. Normally a proud and confident man. Was half-lying on a sofa. A half filled glas of whisky in one hand and a 1l whisky bottle which had the day before been fully filled now simply filled to 3/4th. The tv was not on, the lights were dimmed and the man was wallowing in his own despair and drunkenness. At this point his make-up had long since dissipated. Revealing the corrugated lines around his body, the scales that covered him from head to toe. With his toes also being visible as the man had long since removed his shoes since arriving back inside the comforts of his own home. The man, through the haze that surrounded him, twirled his glass filled with whisky. Starting in the direction of the darkened windows, but looking far farther. Into his own mind. He had been at the prime of his life just earlier. Elected to Arero, one of the more well-known and influential people in the empire as a result. Something that he was proud of. Bringing a sense of order to the senate. And now where was that order. The man gave a frustrated look towards his glass. That order had gone and disappeared. Reports were still coming in on who had lived and who had died during the Senate brawl. The highest ranked man had been Pytyl, the Kavan He-Ai. Ausage looked gloomy. He had not had any personal interactions or involvement with Pytyl, but one could not deny, he brought a sense of joy and eccentricity to the meeting in the senate. Something to always look forward to, and now he had been found dead on the Senate floor. And then there was Apiha Avi; Porini Arapai. The first victim of this entire mess. All this bloodshed, all this betrayal and intrigue. All for the Mercantilists to remove the Populists from the senate. They may talk about removing the unions, supporting the war effort. But only a fool would believe that that was the actual reason. It was known that the Populists got onto the senate with the aid of donations gathered by the unions. The removal of the Unions would mean the removal of the support base of the populists. Meaning the populists would soon be on the senate no more. Anakoni scowled. The Mercantilists were idiots Yes they had removed one of their premier rivals, a thorn in their side. Yet in their action it simply meant that the people and populists could no longer be represented in the senate. For the Mercantilists that might be the entire idea. But they forgot the implications. The movement, the pressure, that had brought rise to the Populists had not dissapeared. It was still there. By removing the Populists from the senate it simply meant that the official and legal outlet had been removed. The internal system to bring reform. Now it meant the people, the workers, the oppressed would find other ways to try and change the system for the better. And since the peaceful option had removed that brought forward a far darker and more violent option. Revolution. Such a simple word, revolution. Yet the implication of it were far more disturbing. It entailed the death of millions. Billions joining organizations like the FWA, the IRA and the PLF. Organizations which thrived on violence and terrorism. He could not blame them. If he had been in their position, he might have acted the same way. And it was all his fault. If he had just delayed the vote a bit longer. Waited for the Tribune to be found. To delay the vote. Maybe he could have stopped it. He could have stopped what was to come. Stop the failed offensives, the violent protests, the uprisings, the riots which would inevitably come. Leaving only death and grief in their wake. He could have stopped it. Ausage reached for his forehead and groaned as he heard footsteps approaching him. He turned his head, seeing through the haze someone approach. For a moment he slumped down, thinking death by assasin upon him. As he deserved. But as the figure come closer and he was able to begin discerning features he recognized it as his personal assistant Kamea. One of 64 staff members who worked in his house. Though to be fair, 60 of those were soldiers. Who rotated in four different shifts. So it would be more accurate to say that he was one of 4 staff members, and the chief among them. After he recognized her he groaned. "Go awaiiii, levve me to wallo in mis, mis, miseri.” After which he felt himself getting lifted up from the couch and he continued complaining. "Leave me, id is all me fault. Just levv me ‘er to uffah like I dederve.” As he said those words, he felt an echoing voice speak. He groaned and held his head as the words seemed to vibrate physically around his head. "Sir, you are not yourself right now. You should get a tonic to help with the drunkenness. ” He instinctively retorted. "I am no- no-, NOT” he cried out the last word in joy as he remembered it. "Drund” He thought he could see the figure shaking their head. Before setting him down near a kitchen chair as they grabbed a tonic to alleviate most affects of drunkenness. It was quite expensive and generally never used, but it was there in the even that a high stationary came to his manse and wanted to drink only to alleviate most of the effect. He half-heartedly pushed back against the glass filled with a brown-esque liquid but his assistant pushed through. Getting the glass to his lips and pushing it down. Ausage's face scrunched as he felt the bitter liquid going down his throat, he almost barfed up but manged to resist it. As he felt the pressure on his forehead alleviate and his surroundings growing clearer and his tongue being less thick. He then gave his assistant a glare, and spoke out in a clear and annoyed voice. "You shouldn't have done that. Whilst I was drunk, what I said wasn't untrue. I deserved being there wallowing in self-loathing. ” He now clearly saw the scowl of his assistant. "No you don't, you are acting idiotic. Which is quite a contrast since you are normally so sensible.” "Idiotic... IDIOTIC !!!” Ausage knocked one of the tall kitchen chairs downwards, clearly angry. "I am not idiotic, the word you are looking for is coward. Because that is what I am.” Ausage then motioned around him, trying to indicate the galaxy. "When they look back at history, they will look towards me. Asking, what if I had delayed the vote, what if I had prevented the vote from passing. I was there at the right time to make a difference. But the thing is, I was the wrong person.” Ausage then leaned against the kitchen table and let out a sad and exhausted breath. "I failed. A more moral person should have been Arero. Not that lord Dryden” He said with an amount of contempt in his voice. "He is just a tool and per chance happens to speak eloquently. But an actually brave man, like Pytyl.” He heard a confused voice say "Pytyl ?” "Yes Pytyl. That man did not care what others thought about him or what the backlash of something was. He simply did what he considered right. He should have been the speaker, not me.” Anakoni's shoulders sagged. "You know, I have never really known harship. I was part of a traditional military family. Heritage going back almost a millenia of dutiful soldiers and commanders. At high school it was found I was quite rational and was relatively charismatic. And as such I became one of the diplomats of the Dominion. Eventually at 124 years of age I became the senator. A nice, influential assignment.” Anakoni looked off into the distance. "I always had good grades, good parents, friends, money, success. I have not ever had to deal with failure.” The man sighed. "Maybe that is why I am such a weakling. I don't know failure and thus fear it more than what it will result in.” As he looked downwards on the quarts table he felt a hand forcing himself upwards and he saw the look of his frustrated assistant. "Look, you have your failure, boohoo. We all have it sometimes, for you it was simply a bigger one than from the rest of us. But you acted sensible.” Ausage had a look of confusion and disagreement, as Kamea continued to speak. "If you had delayed the vote longer you would have been one of the people dead on the floor. And the vote would simply have passed at a later date, against all the support. There was nothing you could have done to change it, the tide was simply against you.” Then a softer look came on Kamea's face. "But that does not mean you have to give up. Even if you consider this a failure, then you can still repent in your own personal way. But that is certainly not like this.” She motioned to the bottle of whisky. "If you wish to repent do it in some way that helps society. Helps others. Especially those you hurt.” As he heard this Anakoni could not help but agree. As such he pushed himself upwards and said. "You're right.” He then rolled his tense shoulders and let out a groan as they loosened up. "I should get a shower. You're right. This is not a way to make things right.” "I have much I need to do. So better freshen up.” He did not see it as he turned away, towards the bathroom, but he could hear the smile as behind him he heard someone say. "Now that was the boss I was looking for.” Actions: Military: In order to further reinforce the Dominion's navy two new shipyards are to be built in the orbit of Krevak (17E), mostly so that construction can begin on higher class vessels.(20kC & 4B) 2 regular corvettes are constructed with the goal of further supplementing the Navy's mobile elements (5,5kC, 2M & 1NP) Seeing the great importance of a fleet that is ready in the event of an Irik invasion, both in terms of combat position and with combat readiness. A donation is made to the 13th Outer Rim fleet under Vice Admiral Akarna. (Located in 20E) (Partially due to the fact that the Dominion will have an excess of fuel and food that might otherwise be wasted). The amount offered is 6 Metal, 8 fuel and 2 food. With it comes the suggestion that the 13th outer rim fleet could possible relocate to the planet of Krevak (17E) with a three pronged reason. First off, the Dominion does not have the money to hire freighters to bring resources to the admiral. Second off, relocating to 17E will make the 13th fleet more able to quickly react to Irik assaults on the border system of Uraika (31D). With an indirect implication that aiding in such an effort might increase Akarna's renown. And thirdly, the new facilities in Krevak will be in a good condition to repair and retrofit the 13th. (6M, 8P & 2F) Total: 25,5kC, 4B, 2F & 8M Civilian: To further aid in the construction effort two more heavy industry districts are once again constructed on the planet of Taneri. With the goal of aiding the effort of producing a large excess of Building materials to use (59E) (15kC & 3B) 2 Warehouses are built on the planet of Marudon (56E) to help build up a stockpile in the event of a crisis in the future or a lack of trade as the boycott has shown is certainly possible (5kC & 2B) In order to facilitate a greater amount of influence on the political arena. And to gain closer contact with the official authorities. An Imperial Embassy is built on the planet of Badab (16E) (10k C & 1B) Since additional trade is not possible with the former trade partner. And that there is an excess of food available. Large quantities of food are distributed among the poorer populace. Since otherwise the food would simply waste away in the warehoueses (4F) Finally, with recent events in the senate, it is suspected that the possibility of a large civilian uprising is viable. As such on news channels, the government of the Dominion encourages peaceful protests once the news of the senate massacre and the abolishment of unions becomes public. Trying to keep the populace calm. (2 Populist influence used) 4 Food is sent to Orteau 4,375kC is kept in the treasury for next year. Total: 34,375kC & 6B & 8F
  14. The Dominion of Badab A tale of two: Iosefa Tenandi woke up with a startled gasp, heavily sweating and breating as he lay there, sprawled out on his king sized bed. Though the breating slowly started to slow down. He then with a groan got to the side of his bed, feeling with his left foot and somewhat numbly with his mechanical right foot the sensation of treading on a soft carpet. He then walked downwards to the kitchen. His footsteps echoing through the empty villa. The former admiral looked out over his house as he walked down the stairs. Feeling the wooden edge of the railing as he went downwards. Then with a quick word of. "News” a tv screen in the kitchen suddenly went on. Showing a middle-aged woman, giving the latest news. "After a surprise attack by Irik forces Admiral Henare sadly died in the battle. Violently fighting off the attack and preventing it from reaching the surface of Uraika. However, this leaves a great gap as the 1st fleet now has no commander. It is uncertain who the new commanding officer will be as of the time being.” As the news anchor spoke Iosefa thought about Henare. He had never really liked the young man, a bit too rash, but he had been a good honest commander. Someone who got the job done. Who would not make the same mistakes he had done. Iosefa then leaned against the kitchen table as faces flashed through his mind. The faces of those who had passed on in the afterlife, people who had done so due to his mistakes. Men, woman, people with smiles, frowns, people with relentless ambition, people who were satisfied to serve the Dominion and defend it with all their heart. All such good men and women, regardless of their flaws. People who he had failed, sent into the gaping maws of the abbys. He let out a tired sigh and turned off the tv. And started preparing some breakfast. And yet often he still longed to go back to those times. The activity, the rush, the adreanaline, the companionship, the glory. Often it was hard to seperate all that the had loved from all that he had despised. The glory and the dread. The companionship and the loss he felt. It was such a contrast of feelings, which is why he had stopped. Yet he often wondered if he had made the right choice. As the former admiral began to eat his breakfast, he reminisced about his empty home. His wife was dead, had died of a brain 30 years ago. His son and daughter were good kids. His daughter served as an administrator whilst his son worked as head miner on Taneri. Helping to produce the metal and building material needed for the Dominion. But in their hard-working jobs they hardly came to visit him. Which was of course understandable, they had their own lives. Yet it so often left a void in him, as he woke up in this large empty house. The daily visits to houses of retired people like him made it easier. The chatting, the gossiping, the playing of poker. Yet he could not help but feel that he had lost something. Lost the fire inside of him. Felt like had given up when there was still so much left. The idea of spending the rest of his life like this, doing nothing and just playing games. Then surprisingly he heard the doorbell ring. He hadn't ordered any deliveries nor did he expect someone to come visit any time soon. He was sure he hadn't forgotten anything whilst leaving the elderly center. Especially not the few credits he gained from Poker. Though he loved the anguish and annoyance in the face of Debora far more than the actual tiny monetary prizes from the poker games. He then walked to the door and opened it. Not worrying about any crime in a retirement neighborhood like his where the police patrolled often. Though there recently was the worry about possible uprisings from the disenfranchised. What he certainly did not expect however was to see in front of him was the Tyrant of Badab himself, accompanied by what seemed to be two fully armed soldiers. The brown-haired Tyrant. Then spoke in a polite and respectful tone. "Iosefa Tenandi, do I have permission to enter your home.” To which the retired admiral stuttered out. "Ce-certainly” The Tyrant then nodded and stepped inside. Curiously looking around the villa whilst his two guards remained outside. Pacing on the smooth floor as he walked towards the lounge and sat on the couch near the tv. Whilst almost in a trance Iosefa sat in the leather-backed chair. The Tyrant then spoke up. "From your expression you are probaply wondering why I am here.” To which Iosefa nodded. He was unsure, maybe the man wanted him to join in some military parade. Give him some extra medals. But that was unlikely, as he hadn't done anything spectacular and it wasn't in the style of the Dominion to give honours so long after one finished their military sevice. "The reason why I am here. Is that the Dominion needs you again.” Almost instinctively, without thinking, the Admiral responded with a quick and curt "No”. As he instinctively thought back on the pressure he felt. The responsibility of so many on his shoulders. He did not want it, he he He felt a hand on his shoulder. As he saw the Tyrant, giving him a surprising look of sympathy. The Admiral then thought back to the young Major Parata. A man who always seemed so cold and rational. ALmost like a machine at times, the ideal military machines. Ye this was contrasted by the tales he heard of him doing everything he could to save his men and the valiant acts and occasional speeches done by the man. The high command had occasionally called him a man with two faces. One face the cold rational military commander. Who could sacrifice hundreds of his men to hold a strongpoint. Yet who would also lead a valiant charge to protect the wounded soldiers and personally drag them back to the medical corps. Yet now he looked at someone with neither of these faces. But one with a caring and concerned look. ANd he wondered if this was just another mask or face as well but something else. As he also recalled the tales of the family man with 4 children. "I know how hard it is. To go back to the frontlines, and I am sorry that I am asking you this. But the Dominion is in desperate need of commanders. We are entering hard times and the navy needs a figure to rally behind. They need the Guardian of the Gate.” The word seemed to echo in Iosefa's head. The hundreds of times he had heard the name muttered, especially during his retirment. The Guardian of the Gate. These days it was almost an empty title. But he remembered the reverence and hope as the names were spoken by men in the navy. The name that had been given to him after the incursion of ‘23. Where he had manged to fight of an Irik fleet attack and even manged to, at great cost, destroy several Irik battlecruisers. After he had stated to a message to the previous Tyrant after victory had been achieved. "The gate of the Dominion has held." As he thought back he once more heard the calm reassuring voice. "You can do it. You did everything you could. You did the best with what had been given. None of their losses were your fault.” To which Iousefa shook his head. "No, it was my fault. My fault they are dead.” Then the Tyrant frowned and Iousefa thought he now saw the face of the valiant, and aggresive commander. "And you will let their sacrifices be in vain. ” "What happened to them wasn't your fault. But if you take the fault upon themselves then take the responsbility they put upon you as well.” The Tyrant glared at the former admiral. "Often the loss of one's soldiers is a lesson. And you have had many lessons admiral. Do you want someone else to have to take the same lessons as you do.” The Admiral then straightened, as he felt the familiar pressure on his shoulders. But also the responsibility and confidence that came with it. "I understand what you are trying to do Tyrant you are trying to guilt-trip me into accepting this.” As Parata let out a sigh and was about to stand up, seeing the chance as gone, Iousefa spoke out. "So let's go.” To which the Tyrant let out a confused. "What ?” As he saw the Admiral rapidly rise from his chair as he said. "I said, let's go. There is much to be done ” The Admiral then with a slight spring in his step walked towards the door. As he now thought about his memories again. The Tyrant had not magically convinced him to do this, but it had helped him in realizing something. Being an admiral, it was his responsibility, his duty and his joy. It was the part of his life that was missing. It was his purpose. And he realized that he would not die in some old retirement center due to old age. He would die and serve like an Admiral. With admiral and with his ship. Actions: Military: In order to supplement the ground forces on the planet of Uraika (31D) from the ranks of the heavy infantry a new general is recruited. This general is former Major Hiwa Akana. She is known as a loyal and dedicated commander. As well as one who is quite aggresive and eager to fight. She is especially well known for, with just two other members of the heavy infantry, killing an Irik commander in melee combat. During the most desperate point of an assault on Uraika. Though this resulted in both of her companions dying and she being heavily wounded. To such a degree that she wasn't able to command from the front anymore and was given a more backseat role. Though due to her injuries she was given a nickname, though none dare say it in her presence. The one-arm (25k C recruiting a general) In order to reinforce the Navy of the Dominion of Badab the Tyrant commissions a shipyard to be built in the orbit of Krevak (17E), the economic center of the sector and one of two that might in the future theoretically support a driveyard. (10kC & 2B) In order to help repel any assault on the planet of Uraika damaged fortifications are restored to partially-functional condition. Especially focused around the 'Northern’ part of the planet where the sun constantly shines. Whilst another is built on Taneri. (59E) (10kC & 2B) After several discussion with the minister of the treasury and the Tyrant of Badab it turned out that a minimum wage was simply not feasible with the income currently available to the Dominion of Badab. Seeing it's income to citizen ratio. Thus, instead of investing into a minimum wage, another social program is to be enacted. Specifically extra government-funded scholarships are to be invested into. Focused on children who come from poorer households and could normally not afford college or a higher education. This has double use in that it is a program that promotes social welfare and that in the long-term it will increase the amount of skilled labour. (33,25kC) Total: 43,25kC & 2B
  15. The Dominion of Badab ----[Enter Password]---- computing... ----[Password accepted]---- Echo class records requested ---[Request accepted] ----[Accessing records]---- Year: 10,361 Title: Strategic assessment of planet Uraika (31D) By: Tyrant of Badab, Maru Parata Background: The planet of Uraika is a tidally locked planet that is located in the system of 31D. To it's North is the planet of 30D, which is in possession of the Ierarchy. To it's South is the system of 17E. For those not aware of what a tidally locked planet is. A tidally locked planet is a planet that has one side constantly turned towards the sun. Whilst the opposite side of the planet is constantly put in darkness. This results in the 'northern’ part of the planet being a harsh desert whils the 'southern’ part has an arctic enviroment. Though between the two halves there is habitable band. Which holds a moderate farming community. Helping provide a surplus to the national supply. The culture of the planet is unique in how it's local people have taken a religious belief in ice and fire. Representing the two sides of the planet. With some people specializing in 'the path of fire’. With these individuals often becoming soldiers. Whilst in contrast those that take 'the path of ice’ are more focused on job that require extensive amounts of knowledge. With many of them becoming engineers and specializing in fortifications. Strategic assessment: The planet of Uraika is of Alpha priority. Whilst it produces less and it's position is inferior in strategic value to the Osalin system (17E) it's importance is greatest as a buffer between the Dominion and the territories of the Iriearchy. Furthermore, it's status of a tidally locked planet makes the planet extra hostile and makes it more ideal for defensive based operations. Thus, as it is the system that is in greatest danger it is recommended that the maximum amount of troops and ships are assigned for this. The risk in keeping the Southern border weak against possible pirate incursions have been assessed but has been determined to be less of a risk than the possibility of an incursion from the North. Thus for the time being, whilst our military is severely weakened, it is reccomended that the entire military is to be stationed on the planet. Whilst extensive efforts are to be taken to further fortify the planet. After recent raids have dismantled nearly all of the available fortifcations. Reducing the available defenses to practically nill. ---[END OF RECORD]--- Actions: Military: After several recent conflicts the leadership of the military Dominion has been severely diminished. As such the Tyrant of Badab has stated that old Admiral Iosefa Tenadi who is now 114 years of age is to be reinstated as admiral of the navy. 1 Admiral recruited (25kC) Civilian: It has been found that the sector serves from a severe economic problem. There is not enough storage available for the storing of metal, fuel and other goods whilst there are by far not enough Building Materials to both fortify the system of Uraika and develop the economy of the sector. As such the Tyrant has decided that for the moment that large economic investments are neccesary. Specifically. 2 Warehouse districts are to be established on the planet of Taneri (59E). (5kC & 2B; size 2) Furthermore, delving operations on the planet of Rebas are to be increased. Especially the delving of goods like rebar, iron and other resources used for construction as well as the infrastructure necessary to turn it into building material. 16. The Dominion of Badab Starting systems: 31D, 15E, 16E, 17E, 19E, 56E, 57E, 58E, 59E, 60E Point distribution: Loyalty: 4 (The people of Badab are loyal. But they will not follow the actions of a fool or follow a suicidal course) Influence: 2 (The long line of Tyrants has realized that, no matter how distasteful, at least some involvement in politics is neccesary to help divert resources to the front) Military: 10 (Above all, it is important to have a strong military. Both in order to defend the homeland as well as to perhaps go on the offensive to rid the universe of the xeno menace) Leadership: 5 (In the long war against the Irearchy the Dominion has seen the importance of good leadership. As such only those with sufficient skill are put in charge of the armies. In order to make sure the men are well-led) Infastructure: 0 (The Focus on War has led the Tyrants of Badab to generally speaking neglect the development of their territory. With the focus rather being on defending or reclaiming land from the Irearchy) Your Stellarch (Their name + Backstory) Maru Parata is the last in a short line of 'Tyrants’. With the territory of the currrent dominion of Badab traditionally having greater autonomy due to the distance away from the major trade routes and it's position as a border territory with the Irearchy. Though with the rise of the warlords and general decline of the influence of the senate the already relatively high autonomy only grew greater. With the Military Governors of the now named dominion being forced to take more direct control of governance and law due to the slowness of communication. The beginning of the period of 'Tyrants’ officially started in 9985 AE. Where the then military governor of Badab at the time Arepate was sent to a session of the senate in the light of his actions on the frontier to act almost completely independently of a senate. Notably one of the Republican senators called Arepate 'The Tyrant of Badab’ whilst deriding him as a tyrant in how he governed his people and region. To which Arepate famously (or infamously) replied. 'Honorable senator. There are no words I can give to deny your statement. I am in fact the Tyrant of Badab, for in the current state of the Empire; a tyrant is neccesary in order to keep law and order. ’ Maru Parate himself is the third Tyrant of Badab. He was born on the border planet of Uraika. An agricultural planet, though it was most well known for being one of the border planets with the Irearchy. Thus even as a young boy Maru was trained with basic weaponry in order to protect himself in the event of a hostile raid or even a full on invasion if it was neccesary. He was born to a couple of low-class farmers. Who spent the day operating the fields under the guidance of a foreman. Maru never went hungry, as is logical living on an agricultural planet, but he did have to work hard even from a young age. Helping with menial labor and having generally only two pair of clothes. (one for work and one for relatively formar/school days) And certainly not having any video games or toys beyond a few sticks or stones gathered from nearby. Eventually Maru went to Public School where he was quickly found to be relatively smart. Not a genius by any account but certainly of a higher intellect than most with a large amount of healthy common sense. Thus after finishing Public School Maru went to the military academy. Where he quickly rose through the ranks and finished top of his class. After which he was sent to garrison the very world he was born on. Where he was part of several actions to defend his planet from enemy raids and where he gained general experience against the troops of the Irearchy. Even going so far as to serve in the heavy infantry of the Dominion. Generally speaking the best assignment a young officer could get, though often a risky one as well. Then after about 40 years of service (with 10 as a general) Maru was chosen as the next Tyrant by the council of 10. A body consisting 50% of the high-classed military command of the Dominion whilst the other 50% consisted of various high-level Civilian positions. Now the new 'young’ Tyrant (Being 55 years of age rather than being even older) is tasked with protecting the border. Time will only tell if he can persist against enemy forces both internal as well as external. Additional characters?: Kimo Parata: Kimo parata is the son of the current Tyrant of Badab Maru Parata. Currently he's 19 years old and attending the military academy. Hoping to one day serve in the army and achieve the same succes as his fathers. OOC: There will probaply come additional characters in time but can't think of anyone else specifically. Provincial culture: The people of the Dominion are generally speaking a hardy people. They are far away from the galactic trade routes and often have to make do with local resources. This means that generally speaking almost all products are locally made and generally less-sophisticated. It has also forced the people of the Dominion to generally be more creative. Often being forced to think around problems that in the core are easily solved with abundance of highly advanced technologically material. This has also reflected into the military doctrine of the Dominion. With it being heavily encouraged for the army to think creatively in order to succeed in their objectives as well as possible. An interesting concept of the Dominion is that, even thought in effect it is a dictatorial autocracy, it is generally speaking quite meritocratic. There is still a notable upper class that often have more opportunity and are more likely to get a military command, but that only means that if you are already competent you have an advantage. Thus the Dominion generally strays away from the more aristocratic sentiments from other regions of the empire. In Badab there is also less of a general despise of the lower class by the upper class and higher military officers. Though rather than despise there is more of a general neglect, or at least less prioritization. This is more to do with the fact that, with the enemy always constantly so close, the Tyrants don't have the time or resources to dedicate to helping the common people. Beyond simply providing jobs and housing in order to produce the resources necessary for the Dominion to stay militarily defensive and successful. Human variants: The Scales: It is sometimes hard to see, especially as they often try to conceal it when outside of the Dominion. But the citizens of Badab have a vague-scale like outer exterior. It is hard to see in a first look but if one looks hard one can see a pattern of scales accros the body of many citizens of Dominion. This evolved as an outer exterior layer to prevent loss of moisture (eveperation) as well as to protect against extra solar radiation. Especially since protection from colder enviroments are far more common and easily aquired than the latter. Though it is also rumored that this trait has spread due to failed genetic experiments or some people down the line somehow inbreeding with Kall. (Though the latter is clearly regarded as a conspiracy theory more than anything) Still, it is often seen as a cause for shame when travelling to the Core or being anywhere along the major trade routes. Thus 'Scales’ often wear clothes that fully cover the body, even in otherwise desert enviroments. With some even deciding to cover their faces, though most generally use specific makeup to conceal the ridges between different scales.(which are still common human body colours) Unique Military Units (two): The Tyrant's fist(heavy infantry variant): In his experience as a soldier Tyrant Maru has found that, though undesirable, fighting an Irik in close-quarters combat is at times inevitable. Especially when assaulting enemy fortifications. When a soldier has to clear a series of bunker complexes. And in such a location it is often not possible to use weight of numbers to pull an Irik down. Thus the Tyrant has decreed to his engineers and soldiers to have a type of heavy infantry specialised in close quarters combat. Who, if not able to defeat an Irik 1-1, can at least defeat an Irik 2-1. With the power armor of these troops generally being even stronger and more sturdy than even normal heavy infantry. Though at the cost of sacrificing much of it's mobility. Raven class Corvette (scout corvette): A saying that has died and resurfaced countless times 'knowledge is power’ a statement that is counted as universal. The Tyrants of Badab specifically had this quote in mind when commissioning the Raven class Corvette. Seeing as in order to assault an enemy stronghold it is first important to have knowledge of the fleet defending it, the defenses etc. As such a corvette was made that generally had less armor than most corvettes, was much slower (often being towed by heavier ships for long-range travel) and has a minimum amount of weaponry (only two small flak installments to fend of fighters who might discover it and perhaps pirates) but in return it is camouflaged in space and leaves minimal traces of it's existence. 17. The Republic of Galaron Date: 624 AR (2214 AD) In the North-West of Galaron there is a hub of attention. Where the mysteries of drones and foreign civilizations are being discovered. Where the greatest minds of Galaron are converged. But that is not the story for this day. Today is the story of another person. A girl, or rather a woman. A woman who was now crawling under a bunch of barbed wire. Quite a unique woman. Both physically and mentally. This was quite clear as, rather than the fellow recruits crawling all around, her fur was completely white. As well as extremely short fur. This was all the effect of a common genetic defect that about 0,5% of Galaronians had. Yet it made her unique amongst the others. Some saw her as a sign of bad luck. Traditionally, in more archaic times and in specific cultures people like she were drowned at birth. Though more often they were generally seen as a sign of bad luck. Though such attitudes had long since been abandoned, certain stereotypes still lingered. And this one woman was quite apart from the other Galaronians, and often eyed warily. Which was just fine in her Ulea H’Sinia's mind. She was better of without all those weaklings. Ulea, was a Galaronian who had been given a very bad card so to say. She was born to a couple in the lower strata of Galaronian soceity. Her father working in waste-disposal whilst her mother kept a small food stand. Living in a small apartment with about 4 siblings. Of whom all the others had normal fur. From the first years of schools she had been pushed out. Seen as too different. And her own generally shy and aloofness had not helped. This had eventually turned into a cool contempt of most other people. Rather than complying with the standards of soceity Ulea embraced her attitude as an outcast. Focusing on things thought archaic and brute work by most. Learning survival skills, general martial arts, physical strengthening and land tactics. In normal times this would have eventually probably resulted in a lower-ranked position in the police force. Only to eventually get dismissed due to excessive violence. But the times had changed. And now she was in a place that fit her perfectly. And so Ulea pushed through. Crawling through the mud, climbing over the barriers and getting the best time in her platoon. She looked with contempt toward the rest of the platoon. Heaving with exhaustion whilst she only breathed lightly. Truly it was for the best that she was not like these weaklings. Who couldn't even do a bit of light exercise without getting winded. In time she would prove her superiority to these weaklings. And maybe she might get the recognition she deserves. The programmers and code-breakers from the cyber-security agency are to focus on the beeps and boops of the drone, accompanied by language experts from Galaron's scientific community. 18. The Republic of Galaron Date: 623 AR (2213 AD) Heroes. They exist in many shapes and forms. It may be a brave infantry private under a democratic representative Republic. Charging for his ideals and the beliefs of life, liberty and the pursuit of hapiness. Or, as would be the event in this case, it might come in the form of a captain. Who served under a militaristic, aggressive regime bent on conquest. He was captain H’Sharr Albast of the Ascardian Space Service. And he saw how this a small armada of human vessels was approaching him. His communications officer had identified them as 4 destroyers and 8 frigates. Bent on destroying the facilities in this system and slaughtering all of the civilians here. As he looked at the approaching fleet memories shot through his minds. His mind went to his days at the naval academy. His effort to survive and to gain a command. He remembered all the schemes, betrayals and horror that he had to go through to gain this position of command. He remembered his mate, Ellar, a sergeant in the ground forces, being sent to the planet named 'Gaia’ by the humans. Smiling and saying that they would have a nice, big house in solitude on an island in the northern hemisphere. He remebered the letter he had gotten. Anouncing his death. Then his mind shot to similair occurences. Raiding human shipping commerce. Following the commands of his officers and attacking the civilian vessels. The faint numbness as he saw the ships explode in the distance. The thought of his own kin lying like that haunting him. Finally he thought about what would happen to him if he got back. They would make a scapegoat of him. Blame this disaster on him and he knew not what humiliation and pains he would suffer if he retreated. He then let out a sigh of sadness. And H’Sharr said. "Helmsman. Full speed ahead towards the human destroyers” "Bu- but captain ? That's suicide” The helmsman said, almost without thinking. His inherent fear at reprisal for a moment overriden by sheer fear and surprise. "Maybe it is. But better to die a martyr than live a coward. Helmsman, full speed ahead.” Minutes later. As his destroyer got pounded by the human vessels. H'Sharr Albast's mind was stuck on the image of his wife, departing for the transport ship. And as he saw this image in his mind, her beautiful face, the angle of the sun as she entered the ship. He could not help but think. What a beautiful smile. 19. The Republic of Galaron Date: 622 AR (2212 AD) “CRAWL YOU USELESS BASTARDS !!! IF I CAN HIT YOU WHILST YOU ARE MOVING LIKE A TODDLER SO CAN THE THRICE DAMNED ALIENS, SO MOVE !!!” Veteran Drill Sergeant Uakor Ilar Shouted. Shouting at about a dozen or so fresh recruits. People enticed by the recruitment advertisements and who wanted to join the army. He saw how the recruits crawled through the muddy, cold ground. Their fur getting matted with the aforementioned mud and their beaks getting scratched and bruised . Though that was worth it to not raise your head up and present a larger target. Just like “PRIVATE VALIS, DO YOU WANT TO GET SHOT IN THE HEAD !!! NO !!! THEN KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN YOU PANSY” And so the poor, beaten recruit lowered his head and felt his beak scratch along the ground. The Drill sergeant stood tall and kept shouting as the students rushed through an obstacle course that he had tried his best to make as close to a hell hole as he could imagine. After finishing the Sergeant spoke, in a lower tone but still with authority in his voice. ”Now you have 10 minutes to go to the barracks, clean yourself and put on some clean clothing.” As people stood there. Waiting for something else to be said Uakor looked around, a little incredulous and said. “Why are you lot still standing around ? It is now 9 minutes and 45 seconds GO GO GO !!!” The recruits then in a rapid pace went to the barracks and away from the drill sergeant who had ascended from hell. Then after all the cadets had gotten out of sight allowed himself to slump forward a little and sit on a bench and breath out a small tired sigh himself. He had only 3 years previously just been a private in the armed branch of the OPD, the Olis (continent West of the mountains) police Department. Which was specifically known as the Special Occurrences Taskforce (SOT). Basically being deployed in any situation that normal police with non-lethal gear were not able to handle. They and their brother and sister groups of the various police agencies of Galaron were one of the few groups that were allowed to actually have any firearms. He himself had just been a normal member himself. In all his 10 years of service he had only had about 24 operations. Of which only 3 had ever turned into an actual firefight. And in all of them they had only held 1 casualty among them. Since their opponents didn’t have guns and were often only small groups of less than rational or smart people. Then 3 years ago that strange alien had come from space. Showing the people of Galaron that extra-terrestrial life did in fact exist. And that some of these extra-terrestrial powers were quite close to their borders. Which created large problems that had not been obvious before. Foremost among them a lack of an armed force. The closest thing to actual armed forces were the Navy (which nowadays was basically only space-based forces, with only a few ocean based patrol boats) and the aforementioned SOT’s spread among the various police organizations on Galaron and Barun (though the latter were fewer in number) Al in all the total of actually armed personnel on Galaron had been in total only 5k, and these had been vastly spread out. And even then these groups had only had little experience and the experience they had was only on the scale of small unit combat. Which even then had been a rare occurrence. Most of the manuals and training they were conducting now was from manuals which had been about 60 years old. Mostly corrupted files and even some actual paper manuals !!! Vastly outdated. But since unification there had been no need of an army. Which was officially disbanded 5 years after unification after any possible rebellions had already been destroyed and it was discovered that an army was not necessary. Since then most soldiers had died and those few who still lived were either in hospitals or retirement homes. And even these soldiers had not been involved in any war in their last 50 years of service. Excluding 1 or 2 minor insurrections. Now that an army seemed to be of importance again it was only now realized how much they had suffered in the absence of one. The few trained armed force members were quickly promoted to drill sergeants or to other high-ranking positions. Ones which they were not prepared for. Nowadays the officer academy was starting to pump out it’s first recruits but for all the higher ups it was a big learning experience. Especially dealing with the large scale unit tactics of actual war. As well as the importance of a chain of command and delegation, logistics, etc. This was made worse by the fact that there was no actual combat experience to be found. All in all, all branches of the ground military were suffering from a lack of experience. Just then Uakor realized that he had been reminiscing and that several minutes had passed. Then he corrected the hat he had on him, which both helped lend him some authority and protected his face from possible rain or heat. Then he walked to the barracks. His posture straight once more and his look determined. Even if 75% of what he did was just from a manual older than his father and based on old-fashioned movies. He just hoped it was enough. Drevan has an unremarkable life in general. He, like many, was born the son of a farmer. Specifically in the kingdom of Haense. Here he lived an uneventful life. He aided his father and mother on the farm, made friends in the village (though with difficulty) and lived a rural and content life. Drevan and his family were devout followers of the Church of the True Faith. Having great conviction in the church of the canon and the virtues proclaimed by Horen. Hearing stories of how Horen brought order and virtue in an age of sin. An age where humans were wicked and Horen denied the tradition of having three wives. Yet as with many other lives, Drevan's life was changed by the war of the two emperors. Drevan and his family hoped that they could continue on without any interference from the war. However, this was not to be. One day Drevan's village was pillaged by Orenian soldiers. It was a small raid, nothing to attract the attention of the high-up nobles. But for Drevan it took the lives of his parents and his extended family. Certainly not all of the village but unfortunately everyone he knew. Drevan only survived by hiding in an empty bag hidden in a corner. He was lucky. In the aftermath however, Drevan had nothing. He had the family farm but what was it worth now anyways ? What did a life of farming mean, his life was almost taken from him and what he done with it ? He had done nothing with it. His life might have been cut off before it had even started, and this had a possible positive effect on Drevan. Rather than continuing the family farm he sold it to a friend's family. Then he used the money to buy some supplies and went of, leaving his home and the lands of Haense. Leaving his homeland to travel the world. Not for adventure, glory or anything like that. But to see. To see what there could be found in the world. So that on the day that Drevan went to the heavens and to the promised land of Horen, that he could go with the satisfaction that he had experienced and seen everything that he could.

  22. The Republic of Galaron Date: 620 AR (2210AD) The Grand Assembly, the governing body of the Republic of Galaron. Located in the unoriginally named Galaron city the official seat of the Grand assembly was a large room about 100 meters by 60 meters. In this room there were a total of 280 seats spread out in a half circle. All of the seats pointed in the direction of a similair half-circle based platform. There there was a stand for any politician proposing a bill to stand, and next to him a stand to those who were opposing the bill. With a small booth to the side where the 'Alliros’ made sure all rules of the Grand Assembly were complied with, whilst next to the Alliros a Magistros kept record of everything officially said in the room. Normally it was a calm place, of rational non-emotional debate. Where there was a strict formality and everybody acted respectfully to each other. Where even raising one's voice too hard could result in a harsh reprimand from the Alliros. What no one had expected was that the assembly would be shouting to each other and mumbling to those next to them. There was almost utter confusion, no sense of direction, no sense of what they should do. Thus the Alliros did something that had not been done for decades. The harsh sound of a gavel slamming on wood cut through the shouting and murmurs of the Assembly and all eyes turned to the Alliros, a female Galaronian of about 58 years old. A pair of glasses perched on her beak, which was now trembling in frustration and annoyance. Then she spoke. "Gentlemen and women. I would ask of you to please keep your beak and comply with normal protocol. Now as decreed by protocol 26A the Alliros may give the Grushdal the right to speak to the crowd without being interrupted by individuals the Assembly for a duration of 10 minutes. Grushdal Xulina you may take to the podium ” The sight of the normally stoic Alliros being frustrated like this finally brought the Assembly back in order. Now watching as the Grushdal took to the Podium and stood behind a stand. The Grushdal slowly breathed in and out, knowing that the eyes of the entire Republic were on her. In and out. "Gentlemen and women. We are now faced with something that has only been theorized before. The prospect that we are not alone in the galaxy. What has only been theorized or specialized before has come true. Confirming both our greatest fear and hope.” The Grushdal breathed in and out again "It is now a fact that we stand on the precipice of a new era. An era of great opportunity or despair. An era of possible adventure and danger. An era where there can be great peace” The silence hung eerily quit for a moment. "Or great war. But in all this I know one thing with certainty.” The Grushdal looked around the room for a moment, meeting the eyes of the assembled representatives and then into where the camera for the public to view the proceedings were. "I know that the people of Galaron will not be found wanting. We will go into this new era with beaks raised. We will look the dangers of the galaxy eye to eye and say 'we will stand against you. We will be the light of hope, reason and civilization in this galaxy. And even if we may fall we will never ever back down’.” The Grushdal breathed in and out again, letting the silence hang for a moment before receiving a great applause from the Assembly. Both from her own supporters and from the opposition. For now was a time to show unity. Then she fixed her tie and spoke in a more calm voice. "Now to briefly recap the course of events so that we know what course of action we must take. At 0915 in the morning we woke up with an unfamiliar personage in our system. A galactic merchant going by the name of mr Tozikob. He offered a wide range of goods. Our chief diplomat Ulasi Erukai managed to negotiate a trade deal in which we sold our excess fuel in return for the schematics for a type of advanced armor and a map of this quadrant of the galaxy. ” Behind the Grushdal a large screen was activated showing the map aquired from the merchant. "As you can see there are a total of 7 'neighbours’ so to speak. One of these is very close to us, about 4 sectors North from Galaron itself. The other six are at varying distances between us but our greatest worry should be this neighbor to the North. Especially as it occupies a far greater area of space than us.” "In the light of this informatoin I propose the reinstatement of the Army of Galaron, a rapid expansion of our fleet and the fortification of the systems of Galaron and Barun” There was more discussion after this of course. But for once in the recent history of the Assembly a bill was passed with unanimous support. Galaron would be prepared for the future. 23. The Republic of Galaron Date: 619 AR (2208AD) Crime. It is a concept that has always existed and will always exist as long as there are laws and social rules. Crimes, to put it simply, consists of breaking written law and/or unwritten law. It may range from slightly tilting every painting in a hallway (positively criminal) to murder. Yes, there will always be crime for if there was no crime no law would be necessary. Even in the ideal soceity of 619 AR there is still crime. Not as bad as in previous generations but always there. Thus it is that in the city of Aruda on the continent of Kalurai ina well-lit office building that a grey-furred Galaronian was confidently leaning into a leather-backed chair, as on the other side of the pinkish Yakuai-wood table a brown/white furred Galaronian sat. With both his glasses and beak covering in fear. The grey furred Galaronian spoke. Both hands on each other and the table. Eyes peering intently into the eyes of the other Galaronian. As if looking at the brown/white furred Galaronian's soul "Mr Yakusa, can you give me a reason as to why I should not hand over your financial records to the RAS (Regional Administrative Service) ?” The now named Mr Yakusa spoke up to the looming figure of the elder Galaronian. Voice quivering in clear fear. "Let us no be hasty sir.” Mr Yakusa said. Letting his beak go up and down a little to put emphasis on haste. As this was said the grey-furred Galaronian leaned forward. With Mr Yakusa instinctively shrinking into himself. "Tell me mr Yakusa. Are you happy with your life, satisfied , content ?” Caught off-guard by this question mr Yakusa responded in a confused tone. "Uhm...... I guess so yes.” Then the grey-furred Galaronian spoke once more. Tipping his claws hard on the wooden surface each time he said 'gone’. "Alright keep that in mind. Everything that you hold dear. Now think what would happen if you did not have it anymore.” "Your mansion, gone. Replaced by you sleeping in a cramped unemployed center. Your nice big bank account. GONE, replaced with crippling debts and a constant effort to make end's meet. Your relationships GONE. With your wife divorcing and keeping your children whilst the secretary you have an affair with leaks pictures of you in compromising positions. Everything that you hold dear. GONE ” Tears leaking out of the eyes of mr. Yakusa. His whole body shivering and his hairs all standing on end. The man whimpered. “Wha.... at... what can I do ? Anyth.....” The man wanted to speak further but could form no other words. Now the grey-furred Galaronian leaned back into his chair. And spoke in a kind, yet subtly threatening voice. A complete 180 from his previous furious and intimidating demeanor. "Mr Yakusa. There is one thing that you can give us that will make sure that all is well for both you and me.” "xylorite” Stats: Population: 16,08 billion Metal: production: 2 Storage(current): 13 Fuel: Production: 1 Storage (current):18 Actions Mod actions: With a new interest in exploration a plan is developed for the coming years for exploration: https://imgur.com/a/lobTVJa For this year the blue area will be explored by the three exploration ships: bright future, golden light and forward march. 24. The Republic of Galaron Lost in troublesome dreams Man, long lost in a deep slumber Man wakes once more Date: 618 AR (2208AD) Population: 16,08 billion "Welcome Grushdal to the Beta Military research center. It is an honour to have you here” Those were the first words that were heard by Grushdal Minali Xulina as she entered the aformentioned research center. Walking into the opening hall of the research center. Or rather the 'mad house’ as it was infamously known amongst the government. Whilst the alpha research center, being located on the surface of Galaron and focused on the theoretical background of science, the beta research center was clearly not. Rather it was centered on the moon of the gas giant known as Tinan after the ancient god of craftsmanship. Here they had much less safety regulations to worry about. Which meant, combined with it's relative proximity to Galaron, that it was a prime location for practical testing of dangerous technology. Thus whilst actually still strictly adhering to safety regulations, the beta reserach center had gained a reputation of having the most creative and arguably 'crazy’ members of the Galaronian scientific corp. Or simply put, beta center equals big boom boom. And this was more true than ever. As her annual visit co-incided with the final demonstration of the Steel-titanium armor that would be used on the battleships of Galaron. And to demonstrate it this group of madmen's favorite toy was going to be used. Plasma The Grushdal shivered when she remembered the glistening looks in the eyes of the scientists when she announced that a new generation of plasma weaponry were going to be developed. Not even talking about the sheer mania when she had announced the development of [REDACTED]. The latter was the most scary, though the shock of it disciplined the scientists there. At least for the moment. Back to the topic at hand, the president 'walked’ across the floor of the research facility. Though this was made quite hard by the light gravity of the moon. As she stepped out, and realizing she had drifted off for a few second she responded. Glad that the helmet she had on obscured her face. "It is a pleasure coming here professor Anders. Shall we proceed to the testing site ? I have already had the preliminary report on the projects here at the moment. Furthermore I would prefer if we walked and talked. Time is precious and I have much to do every day with little time to do it.” Professor Anders looked off-put at how quickly the lead of the conversation was taken from him and the disregard of his gust. Still the professor gathered himself quick and inside of his helmet his beak straightened. Then he responded with a busniss-like tone. "Very well Grushdal. Whilst we are walking I will repeat the test you will see in a moment. We have set up a firing range with a prototype of the armor that is going to be employed. Specifically a 6% aluminium, 4% vanadium, 0,15% iron and 0,1% oxygen mixture. Of which the remainder is pure titanium. This Titanium-steel alloy is going to be hit with a mark II type 4 Sollan plasma battery. Which shoots plasma bolts of 1800 degrees (Kelvin).” As the professor gave this explenation the pair soon reached the viewing bay. A room with two straight rows of seating on the right hand side. One above the other. On the other side of the room was an ‘opaque glass window’, which was actually a wall sized tv. There was no way the grushdal would be seated in a location where all that protected her was a few layers of reinforced glass. Anyways, as the grushdal came to be seated, with the professor on her right side and her personal bodyguard on her left she 'viewed’ the target. It mostly looked like a ship hull which one might find on a sailing ship. At first sight it looked like nothing much. Then the professor whispered to her 'the demonstration is going to start in 2 minutes’ to which she nodded. She then spoke again with the professor "Professor, what is the predicted durability of the armor ? How many shots is it going to last ?” To which the professor eagerly responded, a large hint of enthusiasm creeping into his voice. "We predict that it can withstand an average of 4.2 straight on shots of the Sollan. With it having a small chance to withstand 3 shots. And in some cases managing to hold on against 5 shots. Though these ones are relatively rare.” As the professor spoke the Grushdal listened, but her attention slowly shifted to the image of the target. Where on the right hand side of the 'window’ was a small counter ticking down. Then as it reached 0 she saw how just at that moment a orange bolt fell from the heavens. As if the light from a distant star had reached this planet. Then it impacted on the armor itself. There she saw how it caused a small dent and saw scorch marks. The second one hit about 5 meters off, yet with the already reduced integrity and increased heat of the armor it left a larger impact. With the metal itself giving off a slight glow itself. As well as having a significantly sized crater seeming to go about a few centimeters in. Then the third bolt hit, the armor itself now seemed to glow the colour of warm iron. THe outer layers of the armor already melting whilst a person could now theoratically stick their thumb into the gap created by the plasma. Minali saw how even the bottom of the crater seemed to glow a soft colour. Then she saw how the cannon fired a fourth time and broke through the armor. Going through and then glowing and creating a hole through 20 feet of stone. After she saw this Minali was silent for a moment before asking. "If I might ask, how many hits could the previous armor resist ?” With a wide smile the professor responded. "An average of 1.6 hits” The Grushdal, was silent for a moment then said. "Well done.” Actions Mod actions: With a new interest in exploration a plan is developed for the coming years for exploration: https://imgur.com/a/lobTVJa For this year the red area will be explored by the three exploration ships: bright future, golden light and forward march.
