What level mining is quartz? Both in y level, and in profession level.

I'm not a miner, but to make quartz blocks, it needs you to be clumsy.

Polishing the new rocks also seen to give you a decent ammount of exp, can't confirm.

I personally like crafting large amounts of glowstone. I think you get about 1k xp from each glowstone. The materials aren't too hard to get either. It just has a long craft time.
