✩ C’EST LA VIE | 83 ✩ The group of loyal Petrans sat out in the 83rd Year (Astana de Regne Petrére) (1939, Imperial) on a quest of caution and diplomacy. Insightful intelligence brought to us at our most sacred Court of Saint Emma is what led those of us curious enough to believe that there is something lurking near the beloved Aldtree, also donned the Memory Tree. The retinue, lead by HRH the Prince of Valfleur Paul Alexander of the Petra, arrived upon a most curious and distressed creature flailing at the foot of the tree. Upon arrival, a storm commenced and figures that we assume are the Naga, a gooey critter, appeared out of nowhere. These foes were brought swiftly to their demise as we inched closer to the target. After falsely imprisoning the friend in an industrial net, we learned of its intentions. We spoke with the creature whose identity is still unknown, and learned that its home is our dearly held Aldtree. We urge those of our Citizenry who come across anything bearing the following description and ask that you not be so quick to judge, for they are harmless in our experience. Red in color with black scales along the back. The one we encountered seemed to be wearing some sort of yellow and blue tribal outfit. The Archduchess of Vallagne Winifred's twin-brother, the Prince of Valfleur, Paul Alexander of the Petra, looked upon the missive and weeped. If anyone were to view the Prince sitting on the balcony atop the Chateau d'Estenou, they would wander if he were weeping for the tragedy that seemed to befall his sister -- quite literally, his other half, or weeping in joy of the birth of his niece and nephew. I have been truly blessed. n the way home to Nouifelle Valenstrata several months ago, I was plagued and overcome with some sort of mysterious illness that the Doctors could only rationalize as an overabundance of stress. It causes episodes of chest pain, fatigue, and the occasional fainting spell; this all is actively reducing the quality of my life. hus it is for these reasons, that for the sake of my life, my children, and most importantly my unwavering loyalty to the Throne of Garmont; ubsequently, my leal and competent Vice-Chanzlé Baron Sir Nicolas ‘the Good’ Wittenbach, the cheery Adunian man whom I hand-picked around a decade ago to train as my replacement for when the time came for my decision to retire, shall be my named successor. He shall be passed the Petrine Laurel in a ceremony that will come either during, or after, the next convocation of Her Majesty’s court. Stepping out of my prior role and proudly into the position of Chanzlé-Emeritus of the Commonwealth, I shall leave you all with this.
