  1. I think the only problem with not letting bandits kill is that roleplay wise that’s what they would do, even if it does make for bad rp. I think a solution would be making another RP reason why they shouldn’t kill people, such as mayve yoy are confronted by demons if you have killed tooany people, or something like that. But I do think bandits should give an option other than death, just si they can make more interesting RP.
  2. A concerned Norli Starbreaker looks at the essay, and gives his usual grunt. “Ah dunnae think et really matters ‘oo es king. Da dwedmar culture es defoined nae bah secular authorities such as da king, but bah our faith en da Brathmordakin. And even so, ye dunnae ‘ave ta be king ta make a difference. Ef ye think dere are improvements ye’d loike ta see en our society, go and make ‘em a reality, stop blamin’ someone else.” Norli strolls away. A gleeful Morag Goldhand walks by, and skims the essay. “A new king? Aye, ah agree! Political changes are gud fer business, so long as dey dunnae cause blood. Brings people to the tavern!” Morag hears word of discount iron and runs away to go partake in sales.

  4. Marguan Goldhand looks around, confused by all the screaming and arguing, frowning as the accent became less and less understandable as the argument got more and more heated. He looks back to observe the act again, uttering a few words. “Ah don’t quite know ‘oo tha fock es sayin’ wot and to ‘oom they be speakin’ of. ‘Onestleh, ah reckon ahm just gonna stop carin’ about all this mess. Et’s too damn confusin’ and depressin’ tha dwedmar wuld lie to their own kin and brainwash ‘em, and to even considah thar own kin nae longer dwed! Ah don’ think ah will evah make sense of this, no mattah ‘ow much ah try to. Ahm just gonna focus on growin’ mah companeh and ‘onorin’ tha Brathmordakin, fock this political shoite.” He sighs, and begins to leave, but turns back, flashing a smile, “But ah think all of this could be solved with tha ‘ealin’ powah of mah cousin Khimi’s CARE COOKIES.”
  5. Marguan Goldhand listens attentively to his friend and then his Clan Father, and frowns. ”Mah close kin, I believe tha’ we are bein’ fools. Mistah Grandaxe onleh wishes to unite all tha dwed. But ‘e refuses to accept a compromise. ‘E is insistin’ on removin’ mynebor from existence. Et es a cryin’ shame.” Marguan would turn solemnly in the direction of Kaz’Ulrah. “Tha dwarves ‘ave been split fer too damn long. Our division ‘as cost us too much, we ‘ave lost Kal’Tarak, we ‘ave lost our allies, an’ we ‘ave even lost Thoak. We shuld unite undah one nation, but tha grudges of kings be too strong an’ run deep. Fer tha gud of tha dwarven people, jus abandon yer kingdoms, neither of them ‘ave an ‘istory past Atlas.” ”Balrog, mah close friend, you were tha first dwed I ‘ad tha please work with me in mah business. I beg of you to renounce yer authoriteh as lord of mynebor, and give et to Agnarum.” Turning in the direction of Agnarum, Marguan states, “Fimlin Grandaxe, please relent in yer unceasin’ ‘atred of Mynebor, let tha citeh stay undah ye as a vassal or coloneh. Tha dwarves are sick of this silleh battle to see ‘oo’s abiltiteh to destroy is greater. We are dwed, we are meant ta create not destroy.” Marguan Goldhand walks solemnly and regretfully to Belvitz, looking to drown his sorrows in copious amounts of ale.
  6. [!] While walking about, you notice a poster nailed into a nearby tree. Upon closer inspection you realize it was once the construction plans of a small dwarven structure, but has worn out, now with an ink message. It reads the following: [!] To the strong and honorable, Armakak is in your favor! He has given you a trade deal any competent person would accept. Anybody who is capable of wielding a weapon for the sake of righteousness, you are hereby offered an interview at my tradepost for the position of mercenary. My pockets have been blessed by Armakak, god of wealth, and due to this numerous bandits and naredowells dare attempt to strike me down and steal what is rightfully mine. You must be capable of fighting, and many of your duties include protecting my caravan. I offer 100 minas per caravan trip you help protect, and pay extra for encounters with bandits. A room is given for free, as long as you assist me with my business. Please send a letter or a bird on whether you are interested or if there are questions. May Armakak bless your pockets! [!] The writing stops here, and a large signature in gold reads, “Marguan Goldhand, Merchant Extrordinaire” [!] ((Discord: The_New_Noob #4534))
  7. Out-Of-Character Information Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication! What’s your Minecraft account name?: A_New_Noob How old are you?: 13 What timezone are you in?: EST Are you aware the server is PG-13 (You won’t be denied for being under 13): I am aware. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes, I have. What’s the rule you agree with the most?: The rule that I agree with the most is the rule which states you must always stay in character. I Agree with this rule the most because in certain other roleplaying games, people don't role-play and just play the mechanical aspect of the game, and don't enjoy the game's community. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): No, there are not. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: My brother has played it before and has introduced me to the game. Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): N/A Have you logged into the server yet? (You cannot be whitelisted without logging in at least once): Yes. Definitions Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! Plagiarizing will result in the automatic denial of your application! What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is being another character and basing actions on that character and his/her personality. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using information that your character wouldn't know in character. What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming is making your character overly and un-realistically powerful, and forcing that characters actions upon EVERYONE. A good example is what every little kid ever does when they want to pretend to be a character. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Character’s name: (what do you want your character to be called?) I, am Krar. Character’s sex: (male or female?) I am a male dwarf. Character’s race: (you can find all the playable races here.) I am a Cave Dwarf, not one of those crazy elf ear cutting mountain dwarfs, but a proud and strong Cave Dwarf. Character’s age: (upon application, your character must be 18 or older, and depending on the race, they can be over five hundred years old!) I am 74, still a young dwarf but I can assure ye that I am still strong, and won't go down without a fight! Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) So ye want to know me story eh? Well, *take a large drink from a mug of beer* I was born in Kal'Karaad, 1494 in Athera. Here, me mother Arai taught me of honor and loyalty, and was persistent to remind me that I am to be careful who I trust my absolute loyalty in. My father Kror consistently told great tales of dwarven heroes and of the great glory they brought to their kings. He told of the great riches and power, but reminded me not to fall to greed, and to help preserve the world, not control it. Kror was a soldier in the legion, along with Arai. They met in the legion, and eventually got married and 'ad a child. I was this child, and I took their beliefs and used them to mold me own view of the world. I believe that the world is constantly being given signs from our creator Yemekar, yet we ignore them as attacks from evil. Yemekar is trying to tell us to serve our purpose as the chosen people and bring peace to the world, yet still we have petty rebellions and fights amongst our own. I had very few friends as I grew up because many of them disliked my rashness and uncontrollable quick anger. And all the friends I had in Athera were lost in the move to Vailor. *sigh* But... As I grew up,*sniffles loudly* my father died in battle against the great worm that destroyed Athera. My mother and I escaped on the boats, and little glory was given to him outside our small family. We now live in Kal'Akash. Now ye see, after her husband died fighting the worm me mother decided to lay low and quit the legion. She became a miner, and tried to convince me to live peacefully. Tried. I was not going to stand down while dwarves are dying in whatever war they're in now! No! I then decided that I need to serve a true leader, and bring him to power! I decided to search for relics that proved I was part of any war clan. I wasn't so I decided to try and join one. I was rejected every time for my lack of battle skills, so no clan accepted me. I decided that the clans were too extreme in their warlike traditions, if you can even call them that, to see me ways, so I set out to look for any honorable dwarf to follow in battle. This is my current quest, and still I am in search for a leader who reflects Yemekar's call for action. Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) *grumbles* What's it to ye? I can sometimes a little to quick to anger... And I greatly dislike people who just go to war for the action, not even wanting money to buy food with but people who die just for war. I do agree with people who can of course see that the world needs fixing, even if they don't see it as clearly as I do. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) I aspire to be a soldier who not only fights for a cause, but for a true and great cause! To stop the world from delving into utter chaos! Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) I am very strong! I can lift much more than the average soldier! I also pride myself in being a great miner. Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) *grumbles some more* I do need to work on my patience... And my skill in battle... Aye! Why does that matter to ye anyway!?!?! Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Well... as ye can see, I've had my fair share of battles and fights. *grumbles even more* And as ye can see, I've lost a fair share of those battles. (Krar is riddled with bruises and scar all over his visible skin, and wears cheap armor over everything except his head, on which he places a steel helmet. He wears his fathers gauntlets and his mothers war boots. A worn black belt surrounds his waist, not for any purpose other than looks. It appears that his armor pieces are old and definantly handed down from his parents on both sides. You notice burns on several places on the armour, and his name inscribed on the belt buckle. On closer inspection of the copper belt buckle, you realize its his father's name. Another handy-down) Skin: (please provide us a screenshot of your character’s skin; if you need help, see our screenshot guide here.) http://imgur.com/iSqtJtu
