  1. Velatha bursts out into a rare fit of laughter, wiping a tear from her remaining eye as she read the proclamation, “So the ‘aheral are even larger fools than I thought! Siding with the empire, making every other valah a prince or princess! What is the use of such a title if everyone bears it? I applaud you, Haelun’or, you have proved your stupidity once more and it will be your downfall! I encourage you, bring your fooled mentality into my clinic and I assure you, it will not last a moment longer.” With that she promptly threw the paper into the hearth at the other side of her office. “Prepare to fall once more Haelun’or, that seems to be the only thing you have been good at in my nearly three hundred years of laughing at your existence.”

  2. Bianca snorts as she’d flip through the news article, lingering on the post about Borin and herself, “Fokin’ creeps is roight, Borin…. Shites better keep our son out o’ it...” She’d look down to the two month old child she held in one arm before placing a kiss on-top of his head, “Dunnae be ah creep when ye’re oldah laddeh… jest stick tuh yerself an’ t’e othah lads can beh freakeh wit’out ye...”

    Spoiler

Outside of a Vaeyl construct, Celaena Sylric climbs up the cliffside, a note clenched in her hand as she pulled herself onto one of the ledges. The wind howled as snow swirled over the mountainside that the stone outcropping was perched upon. On that very same platform, a figure of similar stature to herself stood, silently looking out to the tundra as the sun had begun to dim, setting behind the clouds.

“You wished to speak?...” Celaena held her distance, staring at the figure which has become familiar to her over the years... A dear friend that few knew of... in her eyes a gem of a person only needing guidance back to the light that she chose to see despite her past. She spent many years struggling with whether she was to remain within Fenn or seek a safer home for herself. her now ex-husband Aesilnoth Annungilben, and their son, Varkaris. Even though Aesilnoth would not speak to her, those three were still the three she cared for most, and would lie her life down should it give them an opportunity to carry on, even if without her. For many years, she struggled with an illness that nearly killed her on numerous occasions, while Aesilnoth had disappeared as a war prisoner for fifty years, and events during this time ultimately leading to their divorce after his return. Standing out in the angry storm, this is what she thought about, how her life had fallen apart around her and in her eyes, it was only her at fault for how things had turned, however she accepted it and wished to continue to make life better, if not for herself, for Varkaris and the children lost to her over the years to death or disappearance.

The figure stepped closer to Celaena without a word, leading her to take a step back, however she could not recede further as she was at the edge. The advance continued until they stood a mere two feet from her, the only color visible in the dying light a pair of horns mounted to the helm, slightly lighter than the armor worn. “What are you doing?...” Her hand fell to the hilt of her sword, her eyes widening slightly, as this behavior was out of character for her friend. The howling wind seemed to pick up as an arm lurched out, quickly grabbing Celaena by her throat before she could react... a golem arm. It quickly applied pressure, Celaena’s hands flying up to attempt to free herself. After realizing it was not worth the effort, her choked breaths becoming unable to be obtained as the grip tightened, crushing her throat and cutting off most circulation. Her leg kicked out, attempting to kick the dark figure before grabbing at her sword. Severely weakened at this point, she drew the sword and swung it at the stone arm, the clang of the sword hitting against the metal weakly only met with the sound of the wind as her arm went limp.

“I am sorry... They did this to you... I must end it.” A hoarse voice spoke from beneath the horned helm as Celaena gripped at their hand once more, considerably weak as the figure lifted their helm off of their face... unable to be seen clearly in the dark light and dimming consciousness of Celaena… cleared only for a moment as the figure leaned forward, kissing Celaena as their hand gripped tighter around her neck. Soon they backed off, staring at Celaena as her eyes begun to glaze over, “I... am not... unhappy...” She mouthed silently, only moments before her arms fell limp to her sides, falling unconscious to the assailant’s grip. At this moment, the grip of the assailant tightened until Celaena’s heart let out its last beat, pulling her now lifeless body to them in an embrace, a quiet sob heard from the assailant as he held her, drawing his sword before positioning it, stabbing it between armor plates to pierce her through the heart. For an extended time, he merely held the dead body, blood seeping from the stab wound to match the sobbing that was drowned out by the wind.

A few hours hike later, the figure showed up to the gates of Talar’Ikur, checking that there were no guards present before tying a rope around Celaena’s neck, having carried her body over from where she had died. Throwing the rope up, her body was lofted and affixed hanging by the neck from the flaming lights that stood vigil over the city, shedding light through the blizzard that had formed. Then, a note was written and tied to her arm, reading “You did this to her.“ without any indicator as to who wrote the letter... The assailant and former friend then abandoned the body, returning to where they came from to leave their message to be found by the ‘Fenn she called family. About a day’s time passed before Airebys Sylric, Celaena’s nephew found the body, crying out to the other Ivae’Fenn to lower the body and bring it within the city. The note would be received with anger by the Grand Prince, Aelthir Tundrak, as the Sylric bloodline began to grieve for the loss of one of the young ‘Fenn, Celaena Sylric having died only at 150 years of age.

As the ‘Fenn had begun their grief-stricken process of burial... the soul of Celaena ascended to Aira’fin. Never would she return to Fenn--the bright light she encountered parted so she could see the silhouettes of many figures she had not seen in nearly a century... Her daughter Azza, her mother, father, and eldest brother... and one last figure... Giles Curthose. A smile quickly formed as she ran forward, throwing herself at Giles, pulling him into an embrace tighter than any she had given in the years since she had fallen ill. Finally, she could rest once more... knowing her son was not there and at last reunited with the rest of her family, her final worry being of her son, hoping that he would not be devastated with the loss as much as she feared.

[OOC] This is not to be taken into rp knowledge.. how she died and all, however reacting to what is rply known is more than welcome (Ex. at her grave wondering who did it etc.)… And yes, this is very delayed as this occurred during Atlas, I am aware... There have been some issues delaying this posting, but it is here now! Thank you to everyone that contributed to Celaena’s life, even though it was cut shorter than I originally intended.

  5. Velatha Sylric bows her head as she sealed yet another medical file with wax after putting in the death report and certificate, each with her signature at the bottom... the second ‘Fenn to die within such a short amount of time, only this time belonging to Sulien. The clinic had a cold feeling to it, beyond that which was contained outdoors, as she prepared to embalm the body for preservation.

  6. Fantastic! Though it hasn't been that long I miss rping with you guys, but I'm glad to have been able to help out in what capacity I did. I'm sure next map will be just as fantastic as this one and hopefully I'll be back and strong soon! ?

  7. @NotEvilAtAll With regards to the kha, interestingly enough we have had more people joining and being invested in the population since the CA change, so it is possible that this is for the better although it does limit our pool to draw from.

@Haelunor What is your reasoning? Multiple generations have passed and in lore they are defined separately with their own features unique to them while remaining able to produce offspring with the other Mali, the definition of subrace.

  8. I’m sorry, how can Snow Elves be a sub culture? They are defined genetically separate at this point from the rest of the elven population, including but not limited to stature, life expectancy, fertility, and the related lore regarding their deity and a curse rendering their sanity decreased once they reach 600. Beyond this we have higher numbers than the dark elves and most likely high elves that I have seen in my time here and both populations as far as I can tell are dwindling in number and activity. Honestly, there is a difference between culture and subrace similar as there is between species and sub race in the real world and saying that the Mali’Fenn are a culture is beyond inappropriate considering the separation genetically. Sorry to bring up genetics but as a biologist this has been relevant in my life so it is beyond culture but takes into account biological processes resulting in racial separation that to deny existing would make the entire thought of subraces in this context unrealistic.

    Creator's RP Name:

             Metztli

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

The Kharajyr were created by the daemon Metztli who took human babies and combined them with ocelots in an attempt to make her perfect being as she was jealous of the humans created by the other deities, or perhaps merely a desire to recreate a lover once stolen from her. In doing so, she created what she believed to be the perfect being, now known as the Tlatlanni. This Kha bore white fur and Metztli wished to recreate this creature to flourish as a race, however she was unsuccessful of creating more than this one, a series of failures resulting in the Kha'Tigrasi, 'Pantera, 'Cheetrah, and 'Leoparda. Each of these subraces have their own physical characteristics similar to that of the real life counterparts (Tigers, Panthers, Cheetahs, and Leopards) with the Tigrasi being the strongest and largest with the Cheetrah being the smallest and most nimble of the Kharajyr. All subraces walk on their hind legs while they can drop on all four to run. Their balance is aided by their tail and it along with their ears are often used as a form of expression. This being said, their senses and physical abilities are heightened due to having common ancestry with the ocelots, which allows them greater hearing due to the shape and mobile nature of their ears, nose, and eyes, similar to their feline cousins. They are also equipped with claws anywhere from one to two and a half inches in length often used in combat.

  11. Yeah, while I could see the elf part not exactly working, blue tones etc. are possible from it. Be it cobalt or the actual heritage from the past, it could just be a different manifestation of the gene. There are Mali’Fenn that have blue tones to their hair, while it isn’t blue, so it could be how that trait carried over across species. Translation doesn’t happen as direct as it seems to in LotC so I feel like it could make sense either way. This being said as mentioned prior, it could just happen given the fantasy aspect of the server... you see some preeeeeetty weird things out there.

Thank you for offering your help when I needed it most.... Ito nae elahern'wyrvun… ito elannil'wyrvun…” Her head raised once more, though her ears remained slightly lowered as she decided to pay Halsworthy a visit for the first time since she heard of Giles Curthose’s death.

[!] To all Kharajyr, a brief notice is sent [!]

Sa’vi vneahts, Ri’Tsisha wishes to update all Kharajyr of the upcoming and ongoing changes that are taking place in hopes that you will join together once more to promote the growth of our people. As such, the following changes have either already occurred or will occur soon.

    Government and Leadership

With the passing of Tla’Tepah, Var’Zinawr has stepped down from the role of High Aelkos and will be filling the role of Aelkos.

Returning from his hiatus, Ri’Vashzel will once again reprise his role as Aelkos.
Finally, with the absence of a Tlahtoani, Ri’Tsisha will be stepping up to the fill role of High Aelkos to guide the Kharajyr.

    Location

With the destruction of Haelun’or, Tla’Tepah had taken the Kharajyr faithful to Fenn for temporary refuge. Since then, circumstances have indicated that it would be best for the Kharajyr to immigrate once more.

After a series of discussions, polls, and prayer, it has been determined that the Kharajyr will be joining with Sutica for the foreseeable future.

If there are any questions or concerns, please contact Ri’Tsisha, Var’Zinawr, or Ri’Vashzel via bird.

    Mul’ta,

    Ri’Tsisha

“Hear ye hear ye, all dwarves born of Urguan you are all hereby invited to the coronation of the Dwarven King Fimlin Grandaxe. After being elected by the dwarves of Agnarum to lead the Kingdom, it is time to have an official crowning of the King himself! The coronation will be plentiful in food and ale, and be a worthy celebration of dwarven kinship and kingship. The coronation will be held within the Kingdom of Agnarum, in the capital Kal’Azgaryum.”

The coronation will be held on Saturday, December 15th at 3pm EST, 8pm GMT.

  15. A muffled crying could be heard within the Dancing Igor tavern, the now widowed kha cradling a small wooden box that contains Tepah’s ashes. “Tsisha deed nawt tink eet tew come sawh soon... Awl Tsisha can hope ees thawt he ees happy nawh…”

  16. Bianca Ireheart grumbles as she climbs the steps of Agnarum, a roll of parchment tucked under her arm as she hobbled up the stairs, favoring her still mending leg, “Well lads..... t’is was bound tuh ‘appen…. kin slayin’ an’ murder on t’e streets... tuh be forgiven an’ rewarded in an ‘igh position... Aye realleh wanted tuh give ye ah shot, but ye’re givin’ more reason tuh nae bring t’e clan back... Fokin’ idiots, t’e lot o’ t’em… Especialleh for joinin’ up wit’ t’e fokin’ orcs as ye ‘ave...”

  17. @Burnsy__ Ah, right. I meant more in-game I haven’t seen you much, but anyway, doesn’t matter in context with this. With the insufferable portion, are you referring from your perspective towards kha players, or the amount of effort the kha player has to take in order to get the accent and lore correct? I see your point with both, and yes, our numbers were dwindling though we were starting to pick up a few new rpers, they were not understanding the rp aspect... Who knows, perhaps the CA will work for the better in having it so that those who do play kha have decent rp with it so they know what they are doing, though it will certainly not help in the numbers aspect of things.
