  1. A tepid day on the serene western shores of Atlas. The air reverberant of sea aroma and the distant cawing of idle gulls. Waves tardily envelop the beaches which lay thick with the remnants of marooned sea shells and marine vegetation. Piercing the ever tranquil scene interrupted the heaving and organising of personnel, a bustling colony had emerged from the horizon on great ships adorned in silver and royal blue with banners aflare, bearing the distinguished sigil of the historic noble House Silverblade as they trailed in the northern breeze. The glorious transport ships coiled up the beachhead like bulldozers, a tidal wave of sand and bantam rocks at their feet as their progression drew to halt. First to dismount stood Augustus Silverblade, present-day Lord to the House Silverblade who rapidly tarnished his documents to grasp hold of the closest mooring rope and pull frantically to retrieve their vessel. Silverblade bannermen followed close behind, aiding their paramount in the collimation of their wooden transportation. “Heave! Heave! Heave!” The dissonance of creaking timber on rushing sands, the snapping of wicker rope against cotton sails as cries of controlled panic spurred the valiant efforts of man in establishing their watercraft ashore. After hours of tedious reconstruction and organisation, the colony had established camp. Their ships lined the impediment of land to sea while make shift tents scattered the sandy plateau. However this camp unlike most entailed a diverse following with the likes of Elvish bowmasters and Druidic healers coexistent with Dwarven forgers and skilled miners bearing the most intricate of tiny trinkets and bejewelled chalices, each escorted by heartlander Silverblade bannermen. Clearly great wealth and assortment came with this voyage, and that materialistic quality influenced the eager hearts of these new home-comers. At the head of the camp situated a lordly canopy, where amidst the shelter stood a temporary article of furniture that displayed the vast illustration of Atlas in great detail, with all the landmarks and their respective names included. To the head of the table stood Augustus, leaning over the dispersed parchments in determined focus, grimacing as he’d read the documents to hand. Augustus being from a militarized decent, wore darkened silver plate with a royal blue textile spread over both his shoulders. A man midway through his fifties he impressed a short, kempt haircut with gradient of silver to either side, a sign of age progressing him. With a moments contemplation, cousin Roei entered the setting accompanied by Ariana, the sister to Augustus. Behind them stood the idle Silverblade family. A tall, graceful collective showing evident characteristic of their Human-Elvish bloodline, an aristocratic spectacle to behold once more. Augustus pulls his gaze upwards, meeting the eyes of Roei, Ariana and furthermore the rest of his extended family. A smile cracks the dry, chapped lips of the sea air upon Augustus’ expression. The Noble Silverblade family all congregate at the mouth of their lordly canopy, overlooking the acne of silver and blue before them comprised of bannermen and camp followers loyal to the house, waiting to be addressed by their governing entity. Augutus stepped forward, winged by Roei, Ariana and the rest of the prestigious family overlooking the disciples they govern. With a gasp of fresh, sea air as the sun set on the horizon, Augustus began to pry… “Hear me! And rejoice!” The empowering phonation ushered. “For we have reunited with mother Atlas. The Silverblade Dynasty returns!” The resonant cry of cheering and whistling as Augustus concluded his speech and with it, urged the camp forward en route to their new home in Halton. The noble House Silverblade dynasty had made their inaugural return, and the prosperity of their reform is yet to impact the known world we've come to inhabit today. https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/174058-the-silverblade-family/

  5. The Silverblade Family Lord of House Augustus Silverblade [5itty] The Elders are the notorious three that govern the family with the Lord of the House as head of their council, being one himself. With advisory council, the Lord will come to final verdict on all matters. Elder of Wealth - [Vacant] Elder of War - [Vacant] Elder of Peace - Ariana Silverblade [Nethrel] The family lineage and bloodline is then segregated into 2 differential societal groups, Greater and Common. Greater family members are that from the purest of noble lineage, be it via direct association with the crown, by governing landholders or simply through notorious good deeds recognised to the mass. In confluence, you then have common family members, still a forefront to the Silverblade lineage, these individuals are those yet to achieve higher status by recognition of their peers. Greater: Augustus Silverblade [5itty], Roei Silverblade [Roeiii], Ariana Silverblade [Nethrel], Danis Silverblade [Onslaughted] Common: Ameilla Silverblade [Firegirl], Hieronymous Silverblade [Frill], Alyssa Silverblade [Charb0nne], Noel Silverblade [OtakuPan], Taevius Silverblade [RammerJammer] Missing: To any and all missing members of the Silverblade family lineage, we implore you to come forth and reunite. Lands held The County of Halton Old Lore Source: Uknown The house of the Silverblades had once been a great family of nobles who were very important to the humans and the elves. The family mostly made of humans and half elves had a very important position of power in how Oren would be in the future. Their members had taken high seats in the government, which had made them very well known. As time went on the family had come to a conflict, some members of the family had decided that they should move to North and defend the people there being attacked by the monsters which back then had no name, but were known for their powers of being able to shoot “Streaks of light” down from the sky. The Silverblade family divided as some stayed in Oren, as the nobles they were brought up to is, and some had gone to The Great North where they would do their best to ensure the protection of the people there. When the family split this had left the Silverblades of Oren in a vulnerable state, the once noble family had lost many positions of power that had kept them at the top. But, with the leaving of some members in high positions the Silverblades had nearly lost their name and would need to gain it back. As time went on a battle had erupted between the humans and the orcs, and theSilverblades had been chosen to lead the humans into battle with their great military strength and strategy. The head of house, Richar, would lead the forces and his sons would battle under him. Gideon, his eldest son, would fight as a knight and battle until the death if his father had wanted him to. Seventh, his youngest son would act as protection for his father as he was not old enough at the time to fight in a war of any kind. As the war raged on battle after battle it had been clear that the humans were winning but now the orcs had called upon their allies, the dwarves, and it was a two on one fight against the Humans. This war that was about minor differences had turned into the great war of Aegis. At this time Richar knew that they would lose if they did not attack soon, so he had his son stationed with the knights outside of the Human area, in a fort located down the road a ways. As Gideon soldiers and fellow knights watched the soldiers come up to their base they thought they would be demolished, it was twenty men to forty, and they had been out numbered two to one. But, that did not stop Gideon from battling for the Humans. The battle had started and Gideon had deployed the men to attack. The battle had lasted three days and nights, and in the end only Gideon and two fellow knights had lasted, against the last ten men for the other side. They had fled to the barracks before the final wave of enemies had charged in. The remaining men would not cower or wait for them to go to Oren, so they needed a plan. Gideon had chosen that they would go out through the tunnels and flank them from behind. So the plan had commenced and as they walked to the front gate they began to sweat, questioning themselves “Are we going to live through this.” They halted at the front gate watching the ten men as they screamed for victory, this is when they struck. They had battled blade versus blade and strength versus strength, and as their swords clashed everyone was killed, except for Gideon and his knight friend. After the battle was over they returned to the Human capital where they fought in the last battle. It had been known that because of them killing the first army, the humans won the war. This had given the Silverblades their power back. But during the war Gideon’s father was assassinated, and Gideon had taken over as the head of the family. He was a lord of the humans now and would have to take care of his family and keep it at its noble state. The North Source: Braxis Silverblade This was a sad day in the Land Called Agutha were the Silverblades fled to after a family war had begun Silverblade Himself lead his family forward to the harsh lands of Agutha, A heavy snowy region with brutal cold weather. When Silverblade Arrived he had realized some very important people he loved were gone some of them stayed and some fled south to a land Called Aegis Silverblade was very saddened when he learned his wife had went south to keep the Elven side of the family safe. Silverblade kept this motion bottled inside. And soon found this land called Agutha had no major Kingdom which later would change but that is another story soon to be told. Silverblade and others of the family soon found some land and built a great manor called Galhun that one day grew into a small town for the younglings to one day build and own their own houses. That is how they began in the northern lands. And now this is how they fell... 100years after Silverblade settled the land. The day Althos Silverblade died protecting young Braxis from a mercenary paid to kill Braxis is how it all started. A couple of days after that event Braxis left the family town of Galhun and went to seek out the murder. Once Braxis found the Murderer they clashed blades but before Braxis killed him the mercenary told him he had a note and gave it to Braxis. This told Braxis who was targeting family. Braxis worried for his family back at Galhun let the mercenary live and rushed back to his home. But alas it was too late his family estate and the town of Galhun was burning in black fire. Braxis Ran into his home to see his mother dead in a table with her food have some bites taken out of it and her face pale and not visible cuts proved she was poisoned. Braxis drew his blade and slowly walked into his house searching for his younger twin brothers the Levor and Goldleaf Silverblade but he could not and feared the worse. Braxis saw a familiar face his old friend Naxxar who went to the Black arts of magic and used it to kill off the Silverbladefamily and they clashed at the end Braxis won at the end. Braxis was saddened and have nothing left so he went south to travel and to find his purpose in the world. The family of the north had fallen quickly. The remaining family had returned to Oren and re-joined the family, but they would not tell the tale of what happened. The family had re-joined together and had returned to full nobility. The two heads of family had been lords of the humans and had kept the family intact. The House of the Silverblades are nobles of humans and will fight for the humans again and again. Shaka declares, a widened grin spread across his face revealing the disgust of rotten decaying teeth, as they advance down the hill towards the Haria camp. Upon their descent, Shaka would pass Daquan the unoathed brother of Atlas. Upon hearing his comment, Shaka would extend a firm palm out from atop his Rhinoceros and give a hearty thump on the head. 11. Shaka'Khonma sits atop his throne of bones and fragmented flesh, in the bustling development of Ikhaya. A slave boy from the southern lands merciful at his feet, beholds a document from the Crown of Ghanyah. The boy whimpers out the contents of the document to Shaka, the more the boy reads the further back Shaka's lips recede as the good news settles with him. "Yebuuu… Shaka ish Ras of da Idolobha. Khuluma back toh da M'baku." He bellows, urging the boy to write what words emerge from his dry, decaying breath. Signed Chief Shaka'Khonma, Ras of Ikhaya, Warchief of the Ebuutho, Breaker of Bones and Smasher of Skulls.
  12. The Khonma Tribe Backstory The Origins of the Khonma (Khonmahkite) date back to before known recordings of Atlasian chronicle. Reigning from the sand dunes of the North, these nomadic peoples behold traits of tribal, cultural antipathy from the already established minorities we see in the known world today. The earliest known Khonmahkite went by the name of Jobaku, a powerful individual who ruled over the Matetchu Tribe. After years of prosperous yet idle sovereignty by the now senescent Chieftain, a time for a new successor was imminent. As Jobaku fathered no legitimate heir, the seat at the head of this vast tribe was almost left vacant on the premise that Jobaku’s tenure veered towards a bloody end. Of that it did too, by the hands of a rising almost adolescent warrior by the name of Dingiswana, a prominent combatant renowned among most. Dingiswana was said to be behind the assassination of Jobaku so that he may rule the prominent tribe himself. Given the derisory attitude that comes with youth, Dingiswana was aesthetically a spectacle to feature, with an ample, muscular frame with embroiled, pattern like scar's scattering over his skin almost as in an intimidating skin condition, one might say he unquestionably looked the component to lead these nomadic people. However governing an unorganized populace was no easy task. As economy began to plummet, food shortages were a regular occurrence, and public unrest within the tribe stirred evident. Panicked by witnessing his own people challenge his right to rule, the Chieftain Dingiswana took a more militarized approach to ease the potential uprising. He ordered the killing of any conspirators towards his claim to the throne within the confines of their own home with their families as audience. If these families were to oppose the killing of their husband or father, they too would be considered traitors to the tribe and killed on site also. This chaotic descent into anarchy cost the lives of hundreds. Once the dust had settled and the conflict between the tribe and their chief had ceased, a pregnant woman came forward having just birthed a child, claiming it to be the love child of Chieftain Dingiswana himself during the tyrannical usurpation. Little evidence is known to support this, however it was a favoured theory at the time with only the Chieftain himself bold enough to object. Dingiswana sought to stomp out this love child from the picture to his reign and set out to hunt and kill the child on the week of it’s birth. In order to protect her child's life, the now mother rushed to a passing Caravansary, handing over all her worldly possessions and wealth (consisting of cattle and bead jewellery) in exchange for them to take her child with them and ensure no harm come of it. The Caravan party accepted, and smuggled the child with them away from the tribal territory. After months of trekking through the harsh dessert supplies of the Caravan drew scarcely depressed, with water and food now a wishful commodity the travellers took to drinking the urine of their livestock and consuming the elderly, more attrited of their cattle. With the situation desperate, the abandoned the child by a nearby Oasis and continued on with their journey without hesitation. After time with the new born now close to death, held blessings as a transient family under the Khonma tribe, stumbled across this abandoned orphan and took it under their wing, bringing it home to nurture and restore to strength under their protection of their home. Months, then years further went by until this child, who they now called ‘Shaka’ is well into his adolescence, now bearing these strange markings particularly on his face and torso. Many condemned the boy in cultural society, deeming him cursed by witchcraft and refusing to acknowledge his very humanity. Upon closer inspection by a local healer, an astonishing discovery was made, as the markings resembled the exact same of the now late Chieftain Dingiswana. Word spread like wildfire across the tribe and neighbouring villages. Notable figures across the land came bearing gifts of worship and true virtue for prophecies now came fulfilled as their rightful monarch returned home. Shaka’Khonma, bewildered by all that is now conscious to him, reluctantly acknowledged his new infamy, and pledged to ensure a prosperous future for the Khonma. Since his succession, Shaka’Khonma himself has introduced boundless additions to the cultural society we now see them in today. For example adapting the former military weapon preference of the missile javelin, to a more close quarter combat style with the spear dagger and leather tanning shield, turning these pastoral herdsmen to now conquering warriors. Military deployment tactics and reform, introduced the ‘Minas’ currency to his tribe, structural economic stability and much more. In the current day, Shaka’Khonma is now migrating his tribe to the Chieftaincy of Ghanyah. Culture Culture for the Khonma is that of every nomadic people, with their lack of technological advancement their livelihood is more in favour of elementary ongoings rather then complex diversions of society, therefore they prefer to keep to themselves. Clothing is a scarce commodity, as the Khonma believe strongly in their connection to the natural world, and see clothing as a means of deceitful hiding. Instead they like to remain bare, using only natural land based materials and substances to decorate their noble entity. In confluence with this, elders and more senior members of the tribe tend to clothe themselves better as a way of keeping their identity to themselves to defend their senior knowledge of wisdom. Currency or wealth is usually dealt in terms of Livestock in cattle, however the use of Minas is familiar with the Khonma just not within the confines of their own city or peoples. Basic commodities include Maze and Grains for food and Milk from cattle. In terms of societal culture the Khonma share many traditions and celebratory aspects as the rest of Atlas. Basic causes for celebration for as Birthdays, Weddings and Funerals are all interpreted differently yet transferred over. One example of a distinguished yet renowned part of Khonmahkite culture is the ‘Embuzo’ (translated to ‘fight’), where two Ebuutho (trans Regiment, Military cohort) go head to head for a no holds barred battle. Often seen to commemorate weddings, birthdays, funerals, coronations and festivals. Chieftain Shaka'Khonma ((PeeachesNCream)) =-=-=-=-=-=-= Phezulu Mwezi ((WoodenShelf)) - Vacant- Language The Khonma retain much of their native tongue ‘Khuluma’ as inherited by the Matetchu however still use the common tongue just with native implementation. Shaka’Khonma has since introduced the abdication of long distance javelins and instead taken to the close quarters fighting style of the dagger spearhead, accompanied by a blunt club and leather tanning shield. In terms of battle tactical advantages, the Khonma use the renowned ‘Bullhorn’ technique. Splitting the forces into 3 respective Ebuutho’s, the Chest, the Horns and the Loins. The Chest would rush to advance the enemy head on in hand to hand combat, while the Horns would envelope both flanks of the enemy to encircle them. Meanwhile the Loins would be held back in reserve, kept fresh for if and when the Chieftain would require them. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ((To apply to become a respective member of the Khonma tribe family, please fill out the following details… )) ((This post is very much still a work in progress, numerous aspects to the Khonma culture, societal structure, military reform and so much more are yet to be added))
