Definitions

 

These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers or check on our wiki, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!

 

What is roleplaying?: RolePlay is something you can act upon, usually with a character. In other words you act real as of you were a real person. You strictly stay IC and RP yourself as whatever you would like too. RPers are expected to use good grammar while creating a backbone to their character. Always refrain from abbreviations, similes faces and other.

 

What’s metagaming?: - Using OOC information ICly. Like names, something you saw in forum and use it IC.

 

What’s powergaming?: - Something that is imposible in real life. Like jump of a very high mountain and run like nothing happened.

 

In-Character Information

 

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that you follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): - Elidyr was born in a small house, in the forest near the Old Malinor. His mothers name was – Anlidra. She took care of Elidyr when he was a little elf – fed him, taught him to speak and write. He also spent many hours in the woods hunting with bow, together with his father Aeiar. His father was also skilled at archery, he taught Elidyr many tricks on how to shoot where you want, how to aim better, when it is best to shoot. Since childhood, Elidyr spent many years training his archery skills, but it was still not enough for him. He said goodbye to his father and mother and left to travel around the world, join a clan or guild and continue his training with bow.

After few months of traveling – the plague came. While traveling from town to town he saw many sick people. Luckily, he didn’t get sick as he stayed in the woods, avoiding cities on his road. After the plague, he spent 20 more years wandering the lands of Anthos and the Fringe sharpening his archery skills.

 

What are they like? (personality): - Always is very careful, silent, doesn't like to stay in one place for a longer time, always keeps his bow with him.

 

What are their ambitions?: - Travel around the world, train his archery skills, thinks about learning magic, maybe one day join a guild or clan.

 

Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): - Elidyr is very good with bow, good at hunting. His weaknesses: isn't very skilled in close combat, doesn't trust many people.

Denied for a few reasons:

-Your biography and age do not match up, if you were born near old Malinor you would not be in your 200s, also if you were wandering when the plague hit you would be in the Fringe and could not spend 20 years wandering ANTHOS and the Fringe. Anthos and the Fringe coexisted for a short IC year or so and then Anthos was abandoned

-Your skin does not match up with a wood elf, wood elves have tan skin and dark hair, they are not blonde and pale

-Your power gaming definition could have had a bit more expansion
