Have you ever roleplayed before - if you have, how?: - Yes, I played World of Warcraft for about three and a half years. I’ve also been known to create some pretty advanced Skyrim characters.

Have you been on any other roleplaying servers?: - No

How did you hear about us?: - I searched for ‘true minecraft roleplay servers’ and looked through the results.

What do you think the server will be like? – A bit like the YouTube series ‘shadow of israphel’ With lots to explore and characters to meet. 

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes I have

What’s your favorite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - Rule #1, Don’t break character. I want to join this site because I think it’s one of the very few honest roleplay servers.

 

 

Definitions

 

This is simply so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not another website / person's!

 

What is roleplaying?: - Acting. You develop a character and get a feel for their personality and motivations; then project it.

 

What’s metagaming?: - Doing things beyond the capabilities of your character. So If your character doesn’t speak English he couldn’t respond to English speaking players.

 

What’s powergaming?: - Making your character invincible. I like the example Lord of the Craft uses where the policeman and the criminal each impress upon the other. In Improv we have a term called accepting the offer. It means when someone offers a situation you embrace it and adapt to the new situation. Powergaming is the opposite of that.

What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Human

 

What sex are they?: - Male

 

How old are they?: -  40

 

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - 

Goradd lived most of his youth in a multi-ethnic traveling band of actors where he became quick whited and able to influence the emotions of others. He was raised as a devout Valkyrian and absorbed the message of equality between the races and the idea of a world without war. With this background he became skeptical of the absolutist governments which he sees as unfair, bias, and the cause of all war. When he entered adulthood he became close to an elderly librarian in Abressi who taught him to read and imparted much of his worldly wisdom. During this time he closely studied the Holy Oren Empire of the past and became obsessed with the idea of a Second Empire. After the tragic death of his elderly friend and mentor Goradd began to explore the wide lands of Anthos, discovering its hidden knowledge, and meeting new friends and allies.

 

What are they like (personality)?: -  He is a great intellectual. He has spent years studying the history of the world and his experience has shaped his view of the world. However he is a dynamic character who may change depending on new circumstances. He is careful; perhaps too much for his own good. He will not reveal his plans to anyone but his most trusted friends. He has a hunger for power. It is his greatest strength and his greatest shame. As his influence grows he becomes more distrustful of himself and those around him.

 

What are their ambitions?: - Goradd seeks power in the world, a power he would use to sculpt Anthos into what he believe is good. A single land of Order and Equality, but in that most Valkrian of traditions he is willing do the unethical to realize his dream.

He will corrupt the powerful into a secret sect devoted to have control Anthos so that there can be World Peace. It’s similar to the Knights Templar of popular fiction, but with Valkrian background to fit the story. It should add dynamic to Lord of the Craft by serving as a force of good, or antagonism should the plan become public.

Do they have any special skills?: - Goradd is highly perceptive, and can also convince people to do what he wants.

 

What are their weaknesses?: - He is mistrustful and will have a difficult journey if he will achieve his goal. He has a slowly growing paranoia. 

 

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: -  He doesn’t wear armor because he fights with his mind. His cloths are slightly ragged because he well-traveled. He on the whole looks intelligent in an old timey way to add a feeling of being from a different time period.
