Paint 51 Share Posted May 5, 2014 Clan Armas, is one of the oldest living clans of current Adunia. It prides itself on its lthe duty and honour of the battlefield. Armas Clansmen value freedom above all, and have in the past rebelled to insure it. - To Be Added Soon- Tartan Flag: The Tartan, once was used on the kilts of Adunian Men, and the dresses of the women, but now the Red and Black tartan is used on the hilts of swords and cloaks or patches. The Tartan Flag is red and black, and the colour is used to show the long history of Armas, and the blood spilled in defending it. Coming of Age: When a young man or woman reaches the age of either 13 or 14, they have a trial of age. The trial may done any point of their lives, but it must be done to be seen as an adult to the clan. The person in question is sent into the forest with a Spear and sidearm to hunt a bear. Once the bear is slain, they return to the clan, and present the furs. It is seen as a symbol for coming of age, or taking the sword. Warpaint: Warpaint was once a very common tradition, which required the person to paint full face in red and black lines, now it is a present tradition and only done on half of the face. Keeping of Heads Dating back many years, it has been a common tradition of Armas clansmen to keep the heads of their enemies and keep them as a prize. Because they are seen as a prize and a trophy in wartimes, usually the only heads that are collected are those of fallen high ranking officers or politicians. Occasionally, if a clansmen disgraces the clan, his head may be removed and burned to symbolize the burning of his past and removal of memories with the disgraced. Weapon Choice Favored by the Armas, the claymore is by far the most common weapon used by the clan's members. Allowing for a long reach a far reach of around 6 feet, it can be used while on horseback or on foot. But, because of its length, very few can hold it in one hand steadily and still deal a deadly blow to an opponent. Clan Armas looks down on rangers and the use of bows aswell. Funerals: Funeral rights in Clan Armas are mixed based on the way the clanmen dies. If a clansmen is dishonored, he will be hunted, and his head keep to never allow him to be burned in front of the gods. Usually when a clansmen thinks it is his time to die, he will enter a battle or war with the desire to die honourable in battle. If the body from the battle is found, then it is burned. It is the same if they die of other causes. The body is laid on pyre, and left to burn for 3 days. -Hot Headed -Cruel -Combat Driven -Brown/Aburn Hair -Grey Eyes -Easy to Anger -Most commonly 6’2 Eagle of Armas: A gold necklace, wore by the best warrior of the clan, a large honour for any Armas to bare this. Tugann Bás: A claymore relic recovered in Elsylum, It carries with it red hilted leather and a tartan wrapped around the hilt, it is carried in a bearskin steathe, the mouth of the bear being the slot for the sword to slide in.
