How old are you?: 14

Have you ever roleplayed on a minecraft server before? If so, where?: Yes, on a few servers every now and then, but never for very long, as most are not very dedicated. One, though, was a good one. It was run by a Chrome_Twist and was very nice, but was shut down pending the 1.6 update.

Have you applied to this server before? (Please link past applications): Not in my memory.

How did you hear about us?: I was searching around the internet for a cool roleplay server, then honed my search to LOTR servers.

What do you think the server will be like? Hopefully, fun and dedicated. Meaning that I intend to be dedicated myself, and do very little OOC when possible.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes, I have.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: NO META-GAMING. Gotta hate it when people play as some Superman with amazing hearing and bat-like sense of every little thing that happens.

Do you understand combat rules, and what you can and can’t do if you do choose to roleplay as a villain?: No, I was unable to find them. If someone could point me in the direction to that particular shred of information, I would be very appreciative.

Definitions

 

These terms are a major part of the server and in a few of our rules. Please define them so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers or check on our wiki, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person!

 

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is, basically, acting as a non-existent, original character that interacts with other characters.

 

What’s metagaming?: Metagaming is using information, gained in OOC, in IC.

 

What’s powergaming?: Powergaming is roleplaying as a character that is, by default, more powerful than everyone else with no reasoning or moderator permission.

 

In-Character Information

 

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that you follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

What’s your character called?: Hodor. No, not really. His name is Gamren.

 

What race are they? (and sub-race if applicable): Dwarf, Mountain Dwarf.

 

What gender are they?: Male.

 

How old are they?: Five. Five seasons.

 

Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.): Born in the poorer areas of Kal'Arkon, his family shunned and booted from their home in the mountains, Gamren was raised with ideals of chivalry and honor, always acting as a defender of the innocent. Just after his second season, he came upon his sister being harassed by a group of Cave Dwarfs. He immediately rushed to her aid and managed to fend two of them off before the final one bloodied his face. Laying on the ground, Gamren shied from his oppressor's boot as it stomped him into the ground. He then saw his sister swing a large branch into the other dwarf's face, knocking him to the on his back. She helped Gamren to his feet and they fled the scene, never seeking proper healing for Gamren's face.Thus, his eyes were lessened in their usefulness and Gamren had relied on his other senses until the end of his fourth season, in which he contacted a powerful healer, who restored his eyesight. The catch being that Gamren was now forced to serve as the healer's errand boy and slave. Eventually, Gamren escaped and his eyesight weakened over time, until his fifth season, when they stopped degrading at about half of their original power. He eventually returned to his home to confront the rest of the Starbreaker clan, who then accepted him after hearing of his struggles, stating he had 'truly felt the opposite of happiness and was now strong'. He left soon after, not wanting to affiliate himself with any Dwarf clan, ever again.

 

What are they like? (personality): Though he has a tough exterior and has not the most kindly first impression, Gamren really is the embodiment of a good person. He has been known to shield others with his own body, caring more of their well-being than his own.

 

What are their ambitions?: Gamren wishes to find a sweet girl and a nice town to settle down in, yet is always thirsting for adventure.

 

Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both): Gamren has an increased sense of smell and hearing, as is most commonly the case with those who lose their eyesight. He was also never very light on his feet, being mostly unable to climb trees or balance on things.

 

Give us a description of how they look?: Short, broad-shoulder and built like an ox, Gamren is the vision of a mountain dwarf, not to mention his fiery orange hair. his skin is a light pale, and he has numerous patches of freckles, complete with blue eyes. He stands at 3'11.

Your application was superb a model for all applicants. You could have had a bit more dialogue in the biography and an example/expansion on the meta gaming decision but neither are reasons for denial!
