The Lord of the Craft Application Format!

Hello applicant and welcome to the Lord of the Craft! This page will guide you through applying to the server. Please take your time to read the entire post, as it truly will help you!

Here are some important things to know before you apply:

You need to read the server rules before applying - find them here.

Everything in your application must be your own work! Plagiarism could lead to being barred from applying to the server!

If your application is denied, you need to wait a full 24 hours before re-applying, take this time to look over your application and correct the errors. If you need help, send a forum message to the AT that reviewed your application.

You may only post up to five applications each calendar month. It’s a lot of work to review applications all day, so make sure you feel your application is up to scratch before posting it.

Your character can't be royal, an important character, come from lands other than those in the server lore or have any form of magical qualities.

Your character must be over eighteen years old (once you’re accepted, you can have a character of any age).

This is a “PG” server and parental consent for anyone under the age of 13 is highly recommended.

We allow players to be evil and commit acts that may harm other player’s characters. It’s very important that you are aware of villainy rules and follow them.

Here are few tips before apply:

Be honest on your application, we don't care about your age and you won’t be denied for being too young.

Make sure you read up on your race first and include lore in your biography.

Put time and effort into your application, in the long run it all pays off.

It's a simple process, you write your application (following our format below) and post it. Then we review it... If you're accepted, wait for your application to be Implemented(Whitelisted). If you're denied, wait the 24 hour and repost with your changes.

In-Character Information

Character’s name: Johnathan

Character’s gender: male

Character’s race: human

Character’s age: 17

Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Johnathan was raised in a small village that really wasn't mention because it was that small, (I'm sorry that I didn't study the map guys) his father ran the town and his mother helped around the town and the house, John's father was a knight and decided to hand his armor down to John so he can have it (the armor being my skin), John decided to be a knight, and went to see his fathers trainer who helped him become a knight. After his long trip to home, he found his town destroyed, (if this goes against the lore guys, I'm sorry) feeling, anger, John decided to be a knight for the rest of his life, and get revenge on the people who destroyed his home town.

Personality Traits: Intelligent, Strong, Fast runner, Tall (my guy will be the size of everyone else, buts it's a roleplay, so I'm imagining him being tall)

Ambitions: to get revenge on those who destroyed his home

Strengths/Talents: Never gives up, doesn't run head on into battle, is good at bartering

Weaknesses/Inabilities: John burned his hand black smithing, and can't ever blacksmith again, because his hand healed wrong

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): I'm 7ft tall, weigh 140 pounds, and I have a pipe with me (would have existed back then, a smoking pipe)

Denied. Please note following:

 

1. Do not copy paste the entire OP (original/first post) of the application format thread. Only the form is necessary.

 

2. Definitions are wrong, some are copypasta (tasty, but not healthy for your application). Consider this a one-time warning, further violations of rules may lead to temporary application bans.

 

3. Try to bring some spacing into your application, make it easier to read.

 

4. Too tall for a human, try to correlate his background, his skills, weaknesses, strengths. That means, to ask why he has a burned hand, why is he strong-willed. Try to mention that in his background story.

 

5. Integrate server lore. Town or village where he was born, where he has been, etc. Any location you can fish up and integrate into your biography makes it better.

 

6. Work on correct spelling, cases and grammatical errors. Improves the look of your application and helps yourself as well.

 

7. For pictures of your skin, upload it onto www.imgur.com and link the picture in your application.

 

8. Please read the rules, read the hints in the application form thread and try to follow them. I also suggest to proof-read your application at least twice, perhaps you get another idea for your story, character or you see mistakes you have made. As for that, you do not have to write excuses in brackets for things which go against lore. If it's wrong we will hint you towards it. If you have questions, feel free to ask us (the Application Team). Free of charge of course.
