History

 

 

  The House of Vladovic is a Raevir cadet branch of House Carrion through their male descendant Vladimir Barrow. They administer and rule the newly christened Barony of Woldzmir

 

 

  Nearly a hundred and twenty years ago in the Isles of Elysium and Kalos, the Carrion bastard by the name of Vladimir Barrow lived and breathed alongside his brother Siegfried, serving as a right hand, before suddenly disappearing. Vladimir grew weary of their advances and came to frown on administration and politics in general and chose to serve minor jobs, wandering from nation to nation and town to town never stopping in this.

 

  When the descendants of Horen, and so in addition the Men of Carrion traveled across the sea to Anthos, he continued his life as a wander, learning tips and tricks as a sell-sword, Barkeep and other occupations. When the news of Carrion success in climbing the ladder of nobility reach him, he was deep in his cups with the dwarves of Urguan, passed out on the cold stone. Likewise after “Old Crow” Sigmund’s death of old age, he too after decades of wandering, drinking and hard labor died of old age. Both parties, in the end achieving their own agenda. One would think Vlad’s line would have died with him, no wife, no legitimate children. But it was not so. Along his travels Vlad had managed to stir a countless number of whelps along the way.

 

  Vlad’s bastard born line despite their hardship managed to scrap their way unto the boats to Athera as ship hands, or any other jobs that could be considered ‘base-born’ and make their way slowly to the shores. They made their way as usual through minor jobs in commerce, soldiery ext. Not knowing their true heritage.

 

  One branch of Vlad’s loins probably the most educated of the bunch, Rurik was determined to drag himself up to the standard of nobility. Since he had no land, no known relations other than that of his brother and daughters, he used the skills that were available to him. The knowledge of reading and writing. He spent days tracing his family history, hours upon hours without food or rest until he found it. His father a simple man of the road, could possibly have been a bastard of Carrion. Driven by this new found discovery he called together his relations and set about establishing a way to prove his legitimacy. Unfortunately Rurik was stricken by a sickness and could not advance himself, instead handing the task to his younger brothers Johaness and Stanimir. Together they ventured to a frozen and abandoned keep and waded their way through all the magical crap that was thrown in their way. 

 

  Johaness and Stanimir, after defeating the avatar of a strange and shadowy creature make a run for the exit, a burnt tome written in old Raev and a few Dark Elven erotica novels in hand. CONFIRMED.

 

  The pair are later sworn into the empire and given the castle that they fought through. They move in, name their new household after their great ancestor and praise Godanistan.

Vladov Characteristics

 

Vladimir himself, was a beefy hulk of a man akin to a beserker. He possessed green eyes, pale skin, and a head of dark hair. The current line is a mix match of his features however, and those whom he would have the occasional fling with (scullery maids, whores, bar maids. Anything with ‘maid’ in it I suppose. Combinations of skin color, eye or hair color ext.

The Vladovic Regiment is the official military force that oversees the House's influence. The organization of men is based of merit rather then rank and is determined by an unwritten rule of respect between comrades.
