A Simple Request

Posters are posted about Petrus, a flurry of glowing words present on the pages. It is quite short, though it provides a massive message:

 

Dear People of Oren,

 

There comes a point in everyone's lifetime when we are betrayed, harmed and even scorned for doing what we believe to be true and honorable. You have arrived at a time of great danger as Ser Meric succeeds with his men to the outskirts of Petrus. But the danger comes not from Meric himself, but the actions by both parties. If the armies of Oren are to split and fight amongst themselves, the largest and most well organized armed force in all of Athera will splinter. The Dark Lord Iblees will push with his corrupted minions and shatter the supports of Oren, causing it to fall in upon itself and pave a way of unimpeded destruction to all of Athera.

 

I write these notes to call to mind that no matter the struggles you face within these walls, the decisions made here in this great Empire in the coming days will either save the thousands of souls it harbors or cast them all into the Nether along with the other Decedents.

 

I plead that you maintain this armed Goliath of a fighting force until the vanquish of the Darkness of the Returned. Save Athera from that which threatens to break it; Civil War.

Beneath all the posters is a small piece of paper. When inspected, it reads,

 

"Post these in Angren. Oren didn't start this conflict, greedy rebels did."
