Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family: - 

 

Martin was born in the grand city of Petrus to Jonathan and Sarah Goldman. Jonathan Goldman was a respected scholar and writer who educated students for a small fee, and from the day he could walk Jonathan accompanied him to his office to listen to him give lectures to a small group of young men and women who aspired to learn as much as they could about Athera. Jonathan specialized in human history, particularly politics, and from listening to him teach, Martin gained a quite a bit of knowledge about how the world changes over time and about political maneuvering, but his favorite subject of history was exploration. Martin loved hearing about the great explorers who discovered new realms and locations, and he wanted to grow up to be one. When he was sixteen years old, his father took him to see the great capitals of the elves and dwarves. Though he enjoyed his stay in Uruguan, his time in Anni'sul left the greatest mark on Martin. The great library of Haelun'or in particular fascinated him, and he spent many long hours wandering through its shelves. He also admired how observant the elves were of everything he did, and how they could tell a lot about him just from watching him for a while. When he returned to Petrus, Martin began studying the arts of deduction an critical thinking. Once he turned 18, and became free to journey where he wished, he decided to return to Anni'sul to study deduction and logical thinking from the elves. When he arrived, he found that the city was under martial law, and that an elf named Phaedrus had control of the city. Martin decided to stay in the area to see how events played out. When soldiers from Aesterwald and Uruguan arrived, he decided to set up camp farther away from the city. This was a wise move. When creatures from the Nether poured into the city to attack the elves and their allies, Martin hid in a cottage in Northiel and watched the battle from an attic window. When at last he decided it was safe to return to Anni'sul, he learned of the new state of Laureh'lin and of the changes in the elven government. Deciding that it was no longer worthwhile to linger, Martin returned home. During the Storm Rebellion, Martin refused to join either side, deeming both sides of the story as unreliable. When Renatus and Aesterwald won the battle at Kaer Angren, Martin began to see that Oren was on a downward spiral, and that it was only a matter of time before Renatus and Aesterwald, confident in their military might, would make a move against Petrus itself. He warned his family and friends of the coming danger, but none listened to him. He left Petrus and decided to take up a temporary residence in the city of Karovia until the danger had passed. When Renatus had taken Petrus, he returned, and decided to use his talents of deduction and reasoning to take up work as a private investigator. He is now looking for an office to take up residence in and to set up his business.

What are they like (personality)?: - Martin is very intelligent, but is not very considerate of others and often will take someone for granted. He is very outgoing, but he is very unwilling to trust people. He is slow to anger, but quick to make a judgement. 

 

What are their ambitions?: - Martin wants to continue to improve his skills as a private investigator and possibly pursue a career in politic as a diplomat or advisor.

 

Do they have any special skills?: - Martin is skilled at deduction and critical thinking, and has extensive knowledge of human history and politics.

 

What are their weaknesses?: - Martin is terrible at physical tasks, and is not very trusting or friendly.

 

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: -  Martin is average height, but very thin. He has bright blue eyes, short brown hair. He prefers to wear a brown coat and hat. He has no scars or tattoos on his body, and is clean shaven. He speaks without an accent, and has a light tan.

 

Anything else you want to say about them?: - ((I am not trying to copy Sherlock Holmes with this character. His deduction skills are nowhere near as good as Holmes'.))
