The Ruined Golem

[Burkester 1247]

After being tipped off by an old cave dweller a large expedition of dwarves decided to venture into the dark caverns behind Hiebenhall. Lead by Grand King Vorstag Ireheart they came upon a large open cave filled with vines to the ceiling. Continuing on they came upon a hall leading to a large and ancient dwarfish throne room. They looked around in question pondering what had gone on here.

At the center of the room there laid a large ruined golem covered in stone and rubble. It's lights flickered on and off due to the heavy damages it had sustained. Twas quite obvious that the golem had been there for hundreds if not thousands of years. The golem called out to the dwarves seeing the first living beings since the incident that took place in this abandoned cave.

"Golem. Tr-apped.

Im-pe-ra. Seek-ing. Treas-ure. Dw… D…

Dwarves. Tra-vel. To. Un-der-ground. Cave to Home of Ezek-i—

They. Tra-veled. Th… Th… Th…

Creat-ure. Of. Flesh. Imp-er-a. Call. Serp-ant. Co-llapse. Tunn-el.

Dw-arves. And. Imp-er-a. Crus---"

Before the golem could finish it's tale the cavern began to close. A young dwarf carefully walked forward and took out the golem core before they moved into the call to take their leave. But, Thane Hogath fell down a hole and upon investigating noticed that it was a path created by some sort of monster or beast. The other dwarves helped him out as the cavern continued to close, coming closer and closer to the dwarves. They ran out of the cave as soon as they could as the hall disappeared behind them into a rock wall. What was to come from there expedition they did not know, but they knew the first step into finding this out was to check see what else the golem may know.
