What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is immersing oneself into a fantasy world, and thinking as, acting as , and being a character. 

What is metagaming?: Using OOC information that your character would not know, to benefit them. 

What is powergaming?: Making your character have unrealistic abilities and qualities. An example of powergaming is having character who has an unrealistic number of skills. 

In-Character Information

 

Character’s name: Alfred Blackwood 

Character’s gender: Male 

Character’s race: Human 

Character’s age: 18 

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Alfred was born in a small hamlet, within the forest. They were within the human Kingdom of Oren. This village was ruled by a lesser noble who had sworn fielty to one of the higher lords of the realm. His mother perished whilst giving birth to him and his twin brother, Aiden. Their father was a smith, forging tools and weapons in his forge. He taught them the importance and value of family, and Alfred took this message to heart. They were raised by their father in the small village, doing work, and learning to smith. Alfred became quite close to his brother, and they soon became fine young men. Alfred also learned how to be a farrier, and loved the horses. He seldom rode, sadly, due to his lowly standing. Alfred also had a strong sense of honor and justice, and sought to protect what he cares about. He befriended a guard who taught Alfred the skills of swordsmanship. When not working in the forge, Alfred would practice with a blade that he forged himself. Alfred's brother, Aiden, would always remember when he was saved by Alfred. One day, there were out in the woods hunting, and Aiden was attacked by a wolf. Alfred was able to shoot, and kill it, with a bow before it could bite  him.  One day, their father died. Alfred and Aiden decided to leave their village, as they had nothing left there. They decided to venture forth into the un-known, and see what destiny awaited them out in the world. 

Personality Traits: Honorable, strong willed, faithful, level-headed. 

Ambitions: Run his own forge, or find honor in a Lord's service. 

Strengths/Talents: Smithing, farriering, swordsmanship. 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Not formally educated. 

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): 5'11, 180 lbs. Alfred has brown hair, is muscled from working in the forge, and blue eyes.

This application is hereby PENDING. Despite being a decent application, you were still short in both detail and server lore. Good attempt, but not enough.

 

Definitions: Your answers were all correct, though rather short. Consider adding either an example where possible, but basically just 'flesh' it out a bit more.

 

Backstory: Your backstory/biography was decent in terms of content, but it lacked any form of server lore. You are required a minimum of TWO paragraphs in your biography. I'm willing to give you a second chance for this, just because your backstory/biography looked promising.
