What is roleplaying?: It's where you act and play a video game as if you were the character you are trying to portray.

What is metagaming?: Doing something ICly with knowledge you learnt OOCly.

What is powergaming?: Overpowering your opponent to the extreme or making your character do something near impossible without strain. Not putting "attempts" in the emote so your opponent has no option but to accept it.

 

In-Character Information

 

Character’s name: Grimolk Kinde

Character’s gender: Male

Character’s race: Dwarf

Character’s age: 33

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

Grimolk cannot remember much of his childhood, other than his parents getting a divorce when he was ten. He remembers being a very happy child who was always smiling before that incident. When his parents split up he had to leave with his dad and leave behind all he knew from his small farmhouse. His pets, memories, his brother and the person he'd miss the most - his mother. He and his father moved to the city of Athera to live with his uncle while his father got back onto his feet. He can't remember his father smiling after that day. At present day he can't even remember his mother's face.

Grimolk's teen years were normal to begin with. His father had bought them their own home and things weren't looking so gloomy, even if his life was simple and repetitive. He would go to school, come home, eat and sleep. Nothing much ever happened outside of his daily routine. But all of this changed when his father was killed in a mining accident. This left Grimolk, who was only fourteen at the time, to be homeless in the city as his uncle had moved away and he couldn't pay for the house. He had to scavenge for his food for much of the following months, only getting a few coins here and there from strangers for a decent meal. Grimolk did find a job as a smithing assistant. He would gather materials that his boss would ask for and do daily, repetitive chores around his home in exchange for some coin and shelter from the cold. It is here that he found his passion. Blacksmithing. Once he had turned eighteen, his master allowed him to craft his own weapon. He chose a long iron sword to be his first creation - he did it perfectly. He was a natural! It was all thanks to the time he spent watching his boss doing his job. Grimolk gained more money by helping his boss at the furnace and anvil to craft weapons and armor for patrons.

six years had passed since he began crafting his own weapons and he decided to leave the shop and his boss behind to follow his own path. Grimolk promised he would return every so often and would one day repay the man for his kindness when he was young and helpless. By this time, Grimolk had grown to become a taller than average Dwarf with large muscles and a large beard hanging proudly from his chin. So he was more than capable of handling himself when he went out to explore the world beyond the walls of the city. He has been doing so since then. For the past nine years he has been exploring the world and he has barely made much tracks around anywhere other than the Dwarven kingdoms. He plans to head to the Elven lands to see the sights and then to the rest of the world to find that which he is looking for - happiness.

Personality Traits: Curious. Stubborn. Easily humored.

Ambitions: To find peace and happiness in himself and in the world. Whether it's by finding his true love or by tasting the finest ale, he wants it.

Strengths/Talents: He is very strong! He has good skill with blacksmithing

Weaknesses/Inabilities: His greatest weakness is speed. He is quite a slow runner! Nothing compared to a Forest Dwarf. 

Also, one of his weaknesses is his irresistable urge to drink ale when its available! He can't get enough of the stuff.

Also, a little thing that I'd like to point out: There is no "city of Athera", but I'll just kick that's the capital of dwarves.
