Regular Joe, full time employed and looking to get back into minecraft after taking a few months off. In my experience it is the people that help create great experiences regardless of which game it's in. This server looks like a great place to call home.

-How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

It will depend on how well I 'click' with the server, but likely 2 - 3 hours most afternoons.

-How long have you played minecraft?:

On and off for about 9 months

-What do you know about roleplaying?:

I've not had a great deal of experience role playing but I like the idea of it. I think it can be done in a non intrusive way to create a seemless, non-jarring experience (which i feel is what many non roleplayers would expect it to be)

-What do you expect this server will be like?:

Difficult to say until I get in there and look around. However with an economy and clear / tangible ruleset, i think it has the potential to provide an excellent world to play in.

-What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

Main server I played on was the Kingdom of New Alesgan. It was a great server but for a myriad of reasons the server fell apart after several months of activity. I haven't found a server that has engaged me since then.

-Character Name: Horatio 'Golden' Richards

-What is your Race?: Human

-Biography:

Horatio Richards was destined from birth to become a career soldier like his Father and Great-Father alike. With a bloodline full of successful (yet not particularly famous) field commanders who had served in almost all the Human attended wars over the past 200 years, Horatio had a lot to live up to.

Destiny being the fickle thing that it is however set Horatio on a different path. In addition to the regular chores assisting with the running of his family's farm he had no choice but to learn the sword, and was constantly being quizzed on military tactics by his Father and older Brothers from a very young age. Unsurprisingly by the age of 15 he had become proficient in basic combat and advanced military theory, but his real interest lay elsewhere. Since the the day he went to town with his Father to negotiate the purchase of his first horse, the young man became fascinated with all things 'Mina'.

During his chores with his Mother and whilst practicing his sword forms with his Father, he would (to their eventual exhaustion) ask them any question he could think of that would help him get a better understanding of the currency and greater economic influences. He would always offer to make the trips to visit merchants to barter their produce for Mina or supplies for the farm, and as his understanding of supply and demand grew, his negotiating skills became sharper than the swords he had spent so much time learning to use.

At 19 he was apprenticed by a travelling Merchant and spent the next several years studying every text he could find relating to buying selling and investing. He would gain work as a sword for hire with the more successful merchants when markets were low, and leverage relationships with these merchants into additional mentoring when markets were high. By the time he was 30 he had gained a Merchants license of his own and had dabbled in the buying and selling of Mining permits, property and businesses alike favouring none in particular. Though he has bounced between wealthy and poor many times throughout his long career, by using a combination of fundamental economic theory, and treating business the same way a General would treat a battle, he has gained a reputation of being a strategic investor and aggressive businessman, this has earned him the Nickname "Golden" Richards throughout the land. A name he has since taken as his own.

-Character Appearance:

A strong build despite his age. Grey hair that he wears the same way a soldier would wear a Battle Commendation. Sharp, Clean and lightly adorned business atire. Dark skin with a bright red scar across his eye (a gift from a bandit he ended whilst acting as security for a merchant caravan).

-Character Personality:

Cool. Calm. Calculating. Always assessing a situation before taking action. An overall 'light' personality that belies his strong business acumen.

-Your ambitions:

I've taken a financial beating of late. I intend to build some capital by whatever means necessary and regain my wealth.

-Can your character read or write?: Most certainly.

-Can your character mine?: Well enough to get out of trouble, or find coal to make torches. I would greatly struggle to mine anything more difficult than Iron.

-Are you a capable builder?: I can look at an existing property and tell you if it's a worthwhile investment... don't ask me how to build one though.

-Can you wield a sword?: Well enough to keep myself fed, or defend myself (or the honour of a fine lady).

-Enjoy Farming?: I am only interested in farming so far as it relates to the supply levels of Produce X, compared to the demand in Town Y

-Does your character have any special skills?: Charming clients, Charming ladies.
