What is roleplaying?: playing a game as an imaginary character.  Also to assume a certain character and create a story.  Such as my creating the character Aenar and then telling her story by gameplay.

What is metagaming?: gameplay which depends on knowledge outside of the game.  In other words, the character is acting with knowledge not contained in the game.  This knowledge will affect the character's decisions in-game.

What is powergaming?: gaming which conists of working toward a specific goal.  It refers to the developing of traits and the growth of a player character.  The gamer strives to maximize powers while diminishing less helpful character traits.

 

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

Character’s name: Aenar

Character’s gender: Female

Character’s race: Elf

Character’s age: 30

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Aenar hails from the realm of Athera. Her father fought in the battles between the Grand Kingdom and the Reformed Kingdom and was slain in battle.  Her mother raised Aenar not far from the Forests of Adrallan.  She is skilled with the bow but can use a sword in a pinch. A mercenary by trade, she wanders the lands ensuring the safety of all homesteads and settled lands. She will work for a price, but the price is often high. She has no living family save for an estranged brother.

 

She is seeking a better life, but for now Aenar must wander the lonelands, fighting monsters and protecting fellow travelers. She is tightly bound to the land and knows the ways of the forest and the animals.  She currently resides in Oakhearth because of it's location near the forests.  She is also working on ousting the Dark Cultists from the Catacombs. Her goal is to somehow rejoin her brother. She will be a valuable ally in the battle against Iblees.

Personality Traits: Smart, adaptible, tends to be cynical but loyal

Ambitions: Wants a better life, wants to fix her strained relationship with bro

Strengths/Talents: Smart, fast, one with the land, skilled with bow

Weaknesses/Inabilities: short tempered, dislikes being underground for long periods, hates orcs
