Conception Of Myth

The slovenly dressed man slung his spear over his waist as he rested. He smeared away clots of mud and matted sweat from his cheek and played them between his palms. After rolling tiny globules of matter between his hands, he flicked them away before commenting:

"Do you think the earliest glass-blowers worked their art and labored long through war? Do you think they returned to their homes having stared their glassy-eyed dying companions in the irises and took to the workshop thereafter, blowing what profane air they could in mock manner to what God did to create their companions in the first place?"

The fire seemed a temptress, warmth beckoning and colors appealing to the eye. Verily, this may be why fire has been the symbol of passion. Yet the wisest mystics knew to separate the material flame from the spiritual fires that fills the belly of the brave and instills the art of action in those consumed therein. There without, the fire upon wood groans of disposed bark and sinew while the fires of passion moan of a certain union better left unspoken.
