Biography  

Avery was born in Petrus by a male Heartlander and a mysterious Farfolk female. Soon after birth, as Averys' father applied for a rank in the reformed Kingdom of Oren, his mother dissapeared never to be seen again. Unfortunately Averys father was denied of a place in the reformed kingdom due to lack of discipline.  Shortly after Avery's father left the Jewel of Humanity and moved away to settle cozily between Oakhearth and Embermoor with his son to build a ranch. Over the years Avery grew up just like his father, strong and talented with a sword. Avery's father taught him the basics of being a soldier but Avery had no real affinity for fighting and instead focused on how to farm and care for the livestock for the Ranch. Taking an interest in the horses  Avery would spend most of his time caring for and riding  them. Averys father would not give up his insistence on making his son into a soldier this only made  Avery become more spiteful of his father and resisted his lessons reguardless of his potential. 

By age 18 Avery had grown defiant of his father hating him for pressuring to be something he didn't want to be so he left the ranch and ventured off on his own. Unable to settle or buy refuge Avery soon found work with a traveling caravan. He travels with the caravan for many years but hears word that his home has suddenly fallen into ruin. Avery heads back to the ranch to investigate only to find that everything was dead but with no traces of an attack, just death; dead crops, dead livestock even the ranch itself looked lifeless. Avery tentavily entered the ranch knowing that this wasn't a natural occurence. He found his dad inside whithered away and the remains of him clutching his old sword indicating this was someones doing. Avery reached for the sword but it burst out large spouts of flame setting the house ablaze. Quickly escaping the fire Avery watches devastated that his home is burning away. After the embers fade Avery finds the sword still there, apparantly now dormant. He pays his respect to his father and takes the sword leaving the ashes of his home to discover the mystery behind the powers that caused this. Things only got worse as the giant worm destroyed Athera. Hesitant to possibly expose anyone to the powers that laid within the sword Avery chose not to migrate with the masses and stay in Athera a while longer. Avery spent the next few weeks mostly scavenging but took any free time examining the sword. As time went buy resources started getting low and Avery decided it was time to set off for the new lands.
