What is roleplaying?: Assuming a new life and acting out that life seriously as if it were real life and not a game.

What is metagaming?: Using knowledge acquired OOCly an applying it in role play. For example Johnny is being attacked by billy Johnny calls me over skype and I get on head exactly where he is and help him. That is meta. This is how it really is. I have no RP Idea where in gods name Johnny is. Sorry Johnny your dead mate.

What is powergaming?: Giving your char super overpowered abilities or skills that you have not learned.

For example I sign on for the first time and magically I am a master swordsman/smith/Mage. Power gaming is also. Performing moves in combat that prevent the other party from responding for example. *Johnny Jumps off the roof stabbing billy in the heart killing him instantly. I actually had someone do that move to me I laughed my ass off.

Character’s name: Balgruff Ironhills

Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Balgruff was your typical dwarf laddie as a child. He would stay at home and play with the other children, while his father would work as a stonemason. His mother died giving birth to Balgruff (Cliche? I know I'm sorry.) He was.Well a dwarf! He loved eating, he loved jewels and gold. But most of all Balgruff treasured two things, he would give his life to protect these things and that occasionally has gotten him into... Some bad spots. Per say, those two items were his battle axe and his chain. Given to him by his father. Balgruff grew and grew. Soon enough the quiet village at he base of the mountain was not enough for him anymore. He packed up what little possessions he had bid his goodbyes and set off for the Dwarven kingdom. Upon the road he met many a traveller. Some kind. Some not so kind individuals. But they don't matter as they lay dead in a ditch. Balgruff would start his days on the road the same. He would wake up, break camp and set off down the road. He would buy supplies from any towns or villages he passed and mostly kept to himself. He would speak to humans on the occasional nights he spent in an inn. He dared not speak to elves as his father told him before he left. "Balgruff! Dinaa trust teh elves. They dooon't like oor kind. And we dooon't like them." Balgruff was the kind of child who did what he was told by his elders. But on his own Balgruff didn't see the elves the same his father painted them as. However he dared not speak to them. Not yet. On the nights he didn't stay at inns he slept at the side of the road under the stars, preferably near stone, with his axe clutched In his grasp. This went on until finally after many days and nights he reached the Dwarven kingdom he rushed through the gates and knelt down kissing the ground. His real home may be a long ways away. But as far as Balgruff was concerned it was right where he knelt.

Personality Traits: Suspicious. He always overthinks a persons motive or actions. Looking to his few fiends for guidance.

Loyal. Balgruff is fiercely loyal to his kin and will not hesitate to lay down his life if need be, his father taught him that and he lives by it.

Cheerful. In his few times when he let's down his guard Balgruff is a merry man who enjoys making others laugh and smile.

Balgruff also knows the importance of a warm bed and mug of ale to a dwarf and knows when someone needs these two things.

Ambitions: To simply live life the Dwarvish way.

Strengths/Talents: His loyalty, is not easily frightened or intimidated. Has spent a long time on the road and knows how to ease himself out of a tight spot. Is a good story teller.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Overthinks situations, Sometimes he is too snappy and gets offended very easily. Does not trust most but is more than willing to give you a chance.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Balgruff like most dwarfs is short and stocky. He's about 4,6 and weighs around 175 pounds (The weight I'm not too sure on for dwarves so sorry if it's not correct.) He keeps his long beard clean and braided held together with two silver rings. His hair a a dark reddish orange, and he has blue eyes. His skin is a fair bit tanned but mostly not noticeable.
