From the Rex's chambers

The desert sun soon set, yet none could tell of this action as the ashen clouds still lingered, hovering over the sky. A faint wind rolled towards the Rex Palace leaving an unfamiliar chill in the air. The formidable structure still silent, spare the changing of Keshig guard shifts. Many Orcs of the Iron Uzg would have noted the Rex was no where to be found for the past few months. Yet, the silence was broken by two heavy weighted feet plodding onto the sandstone floor of the Rex's chambers. He had awoken. 

Falling ill, Kahn had been confined to his bed, unable to move, fading in an and out of consciousness. Whether it was a foreign parasite, an infected wound or his stomach leaking acid into his organs, it was not known. Yet he always appeared to be short of breath and gripping his stomach in immense pain. It had been reported that there was blood when he coughed, as well as blood in his urine. There was a time where it was thought he would not survive, yet his Goblin Servant and most trusted friend, Larty Wun Eye placed the Rex in Krug's hands, and through might and sheer iron will, Kahn had survived. 

Emerging from his chambers, the Rex, still holding his stomach in pain surveyed the hall of his palace. The Keshig looked at him with both relief and admiration. Larty walked over to him, patting his old friend on the shoulder.

"Lat haz flatted ah zhadow monzta, znapped ah demonz neck, zuplexed ah Zkaddanakk agh ripped owt da heart ob da Fleugal. Hur, ah would hab ben zuprized if da znifflez tuuk lat owt." Larty jested. Kahn half smiled, the very movement causing him pain, yet the enormous Orc was a specimen, keeping the discomfort to himself. The Rex turned towards his throne, walking towards it before coming to rest in its embrace. 

"Dere iz work tu beh done." The Iron Rhino said.

The Rex had returned
