The enchanting glitch

#Nature of the bug: sometimes I put an enchanted book into my enchantment table and enchant my weapon, but then the server lags and the book disappears and I lose the enchant.

 

#First occurrence: (Providing an exact time helps us locate the error messages, which can help in fixing the bug) I tried to enchant my iron lance but the server lagged a little (the screen froze for a few seconds) then when I tried to enchant it it wouldn't enchant and even when i opened the enchantment table the book was gone. I even tried reloading and had a mod check it but it just disappeared.

 

# Describe exactly all the actions you took leading up to the bug: ^that, and also this has happened around 4 times to me, sometimes it happened with books and other times it was with gems or gold. so I lost a lot of gems and books this way.

 

# What messages are/aren't you getting that you would/wouldn't get normally : (in the event of a crash, please also provide the error log) The book/ gems disappear and even if i re-log it's just gone

 

# Frequency of occurrence: Every time the server lags while I'm enchanting.

From my knowledge this issue would have to do with your client lagging, not the server. Regardless, books shouldn't be going poof!
