Character’s name: Kaynard Margrave - The Puppeteer

Character’s gender: Male

Character’s race: Human

Character’s age: 50

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Kaynard was born at the end of Asulon. He wasn’t born in a normal family like any other child, he was born in a tribe of Humans, out in the wilderness. This tribe, of which the name has long since been forgotten, even by Kaynard,  was cut off from most civilized cities for they did not want to be discovered. Their xenophobic society had survived for many years, their thought process was that they had no need for outsiders.

 

Yet when someone’d happen to stumble across his tribe they would very quickly regret their decision. The tribe practised a dark magic known to them as Soul Puppetry; by manipulating one’s life force, they were able to lay curses on someone with a puppet as the medium. And these curses, well, you wouldn’t want to get one.

 

The tribe taught ideals to their children in a similar fashion to the High Elves; they were better than everyone else. Kaynard, being one of those children, took over these ideals. He also took great interest in the tribe’s dark and foul magic; his studies have progressed throughout many years

 

But then, disaster struck. The storms in Asulon arrived, tearing apart the landscape. The people of Asulon were leaving, but not Kaynard’s tribe. As stubborn as they were, they believed that if they would stay, their gods would reward them for it. Kaynard himself, however, did not believe this. He found them fools for staying, they would certainly die. So he took off, clad himself in normal clothing and went with the ships to Elysium, then to Kalos, then to Anthos.

 

Anthos did not prove to be as fruitful as he had hoped, and neither did Athera; studying consumed most of his time. The question is - What will Vailor bring?

 

Personality Traits: Ruthless, yet oddly cheerful.

Ambitions: Despite the environment he was raised in, he seeks to socialize with others. But for what reason? To spread his knowledge, make friends or something more sinister?

Strengths/Talents: His only strength lies in his ability of Soul Puppetry; a single droplet of blood and the victim will be under his mercy.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Kaynard is physically weak and frail, both due to his semi-older age and the constant use of the foul magic. In a fight, he would not be able to last long at all.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): He is approximately 5’10” tall with a mere 120 lbs added to him. He has many dolls clasped underneath his concealed robe, effigies if you will.

One more thing, my character’s supposed to have Soul Puppetry but I’ve left for a while so he’s currently not in the official user list. Will fix that if/when this app gets accepted.

• A Human who's 50 years old wouldn't be born in Asulon but far later, a middle-aged human would be born at the end of Athera. Please be sure to get your maps and timeline right please.
• You cannot apply already having known magic, this is a big no go. Please change this for next time.
