The young priest, Father Jurgen-Pius, passed silently under the gate of Felsen, coming back from the chaos that insued after Lucien III's death. He gathered a small crowd and held mass. After, he silently approached the door that would lead down into the tunnels under the city in which his office lay. He marched down the steps to the small room, slowly lowering himself down into his seat. He shuttered as he threw some wood onto the small fire to his right, making the cold and unforgiving halls below the cathedral seem bearable. He sighed, beginning to write another thesis, silenting chanting to himself a sweet song.

THESIS ON DEATH

After witnessing the death of pontiff Lucien, I feel GOD has helped me to overcome it. My heart was dark for those long days in Luciensport in the aftermath of Lucien III's death. I do believe we should not fear death, as GOD will see to our preservation in the seven skies. I dearly hope Lucien III himself looks down on us, watching over us clergy as he had in life. Death seems so common here in Vailor, whether it be to sickness, war, or simply old age. Many people, I am sure, lost family members to the heretics at Marnabel. Although death should not be feared, should we lay idle as an Orc Shvine mortally wounded our religious leader?

God shall not forgive the Orc who killed Lucien III, and I hope that GOD shall see to it that the Orc suffers. No, I shall not even say that he should be strucken down dead, for his sins in life should not result in him leaving quickly and cleanly. Not only has he killed the pontiff, but has also robbed him of the pontiff's crown! Death is a reward for noble service as it is a long sleep, though if we deserve it is left up to what we do here in life.

DEUS VULT

                        -Father Jurgen-Pius
