Definitions

1. Roleplaying is basically being part of a story and "acting" out things your character is doing.

2. Metagaming is information someone gets from the outside world, basically.

3. A player does to another player that also prevents them from stopping it.

In-Character Information

Character’s age: (upon application, your character must be 18 or older, and depending on the race, they can be over five hundred years old!) 18

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Amara was born as Olga Zaloon. She was born in a forest clearing somewhere in Lorraine in the year of 4299. Her parents, Zamah and Ba-jay were healers and she was raised to be a healer also. In the middle of the night when she was only 5, her village was attacked and half her people, including her parents were killed. The rest of the elves were taken into slavery and were sold to different parts of the entire country. When escaping from her master's home when she was 10, a dark mage came to her aid, saving her from death. The mage then brought her to his home and adopted her, replacing her name with Amara.

 

Just a few years passed and Amara's mage training had just begun when her master died on an expedition to a human settlement. His death drove Amara crazy and she vowed to get rid of all the humans in Vailor. She traveled to Krinfird and went into hiding, practicing and learning all about dark magic. At the age of 17, she met up with an elf who says that she was from Lorraine and Amara is slowly changing her ways.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Due to her tragic past, Amara has a trust problem and cannot forgive that easily. She also devoted her life to get revenge on the humans that killed her master. In addition to her past, she likes to sing and write songs, which confuses many people. her eyes are known shimmer when she gets an idea.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) A dark mage, but because of her personality changing, a healer

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) She is really good at singing and can quickly think of a strategy in the most dire situations.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Trusting and forgiving people who did her wrong.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) 5'7, violet eyes, pale skin with long blue hair, a scar runs from her left cheekbone down to her chin.

Unfortunately your application has been denied. You must wait 24 hours until you can post another application. In the meantime, read through the critique bellow and make the necessary changes.

• Our server is not anywhere near year 4299. We are currently in the 1500's, the exact dates can be found online and on the wiki.
• Having your village attacked is an overused cliche, try to think of other conflicts that could occur in your character's life.
• It is against the rules to learn a magic. So your character cannot have any magical abilities. If you wish to learn, you must make a magic application and find a teacher on the server.
• It's unrealistic that your character would have learned any healing at the age of 5. It's against the rules if it's magical as well.
• It is cliche to want to take revenge on all humans. It is also impossible to do. The humans that killed her master do not exist and so killing them is impossible.
• Also, be aware if you are going to be an elf, you would not be considered an adult until the age of 50. Any elf you meet would treat you like a child. It's highly recommended that you change your age, but not necessary.
• Your character's appearance does not match the lore of a dark elf. Dark elf lore can be found on the wiki. You should change your skin.

Overall, take some time to learn about Dark Elves and work out your character's biography so there are less cliches. Remember, if you want to learn any sort of magic you must first make a magic application and find a teacher in game. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to send me a message.
