What’s the rule you agree with the most?: Probably the general conduct rules, many roleplaying servers I’ve been on haven’t managed correct conduct very well.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): no, not at all, your rules seem spot on.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I found it on a recommended roleplaying server list, and being a fan of the Lord of the Rings series I had to check it out.

What is roleplaying?: Basically roleplaying is sort of like acting, you create a character and act out their actions in different situations, so roleplaying a knight in the middle ages would involve being a part of the medieval political system and their actions during any wars or conflict.

What is metagaming?: The way I like to describe metagaming is basically roleplaying yourself, since you know the loopholes and secrets of the role play you can use them to your advantage, which is what metgaming is. it really isn’t fair or fun simply because it takes away from the actual lore of the role play, and lore breaking shouldn’t be possible since your character can’t break the fourth wall.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Power gaming is pretty much turning your character into an overpowered murder machine instead of focusing on the lore and story of the character.

 

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

 

Character’s name: (what do you want your character to be called?) Aaron Gray

Character’s sex: (male or female?) Male

Character’s age: (upon application, your character must be 18 or older, and depending on the race, they can be over five hundred years old!) 22

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Aaron was found one day lost in the sparse woods outside of Sancuary, with no memories of his home, though he remembers a beautiful city of splendor and wealth. He has traveled across Vailor searching for his home, wearing his personal favorite outfit, a vest and slacks he purchased from a group of traveling elves he met along his path. So far he has avoided politics, simply because of his natural distaste for the flawed and corrupt rulers that lead the lands.

   Since he has little memory of his real home, Aaron nowadays has come to call Sancuary his birthplace, and is a frequent visitor when he isn’t out on an adventure. He doesn’t know the exact year of his birth, but he claims to be 22 seeing as he appears to be fairly young. Being a traveler, he often doesn’t stay in one place too long and enjoys the freedom of wandering.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Aaron is a kind hearted charmer with a silver tongue. He generally enjoys tinkering with his own mechanical contraptions and has a fondness for swordplay, though has never been too good. Seeking justice in the world, he dislikes thieves and criminals. One of his greatest weaknesses is his love of foreign food, often leading him to try rather disgusting dishes.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Aaron aspires to be an incredible swordsman, scholar, engineer, and a source of good life lessons for the wife and family he dreams of having one day.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Aaron is an amateur with a sword but is a mastermind with his mechanical devices and traps.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Both his swordplay and his overall strength, his greatest fear is being unable to protect the good in the world.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Aaron is five foot seven, has dark brown hair, brown eyes, and tan skin. Being rather new to combat he hasn’t been on the receiving end of any scars, yet.

(if my skin is too modern looking, I’ve got a second more medieval style skin for the same character though my current skin is my favorite)

-Your power-gaming definition is incorrect.

 

-A biography should serve to explain where a character came from, what they've done, and hpw they got to their current state. Your character's biography fails to give any. 

 

-While having memory loss in a biography is all fine, using it as an excuse to not write in your character is not acceptable.

 

-You dont explain where your character got any of their skills or talents.

 

-You note swordplay being one of his strengths, and than somehow his weakness.

 

-Being a mastermind of mechanical contraptions and such is not suitable for the Medieval fantasy setting of Lordofthecraft.

 

-Your minecraft skin is not suitable for the fantasy/medieval setting of lordofthecraft. Your skin is clearly steampunk.
