Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes I have.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: Your skin must be an RP-friendly representation of your character. Obscene, offensive, or non-rp skins are not allowed. There are many skin-makers on the Forums who are happy to provide skins for new players. The use of a skin created by another player without their consent is considered plagiarism, and is disallowed. I agree with this general rule the most because without the requirement of an RP-friendly skin it would not make sense in game nor to your character.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): No, none of the rules confuse me in anyway, but thank you for the option to get any sort of confusion I might have out of the way.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I was referred by my friend whitewolf225.

What is roleplaying?: the acting out or performance of a particular role, either consciously (as a technique in psychotherapy or training) or unconsciously, in accordance with the perceived expectations of society as regards a person's behaviour in a particular context.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is any strategy, action or method used in a game which transcends a prescribed ruleset, uses external factors to affect the game, or goes beyond the supposed limits or environment set by the game. Another definition refers to the game universe outside of the game itself.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming (or power gaming) is a style of interacting with games or game-like systems, particularly video games, boardgames, and role-playing games, with the aim of maximising progress towards a specific goal, to the exclusion of other considerations such as storytelling, atmosphere and camaraderie.

 

In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Character’s age: (upon application, your character must be 18 or older, and depending on the race, they can be over five hundred years old!) 22 Years of age.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)

Lavinia Merryluna, a girl born in Laurelin with only a Mother to protect her throughout her childhood until she would decide to leave. Lavinia's Mother, Lyra Merryluna raised her in a cabin in the woods. Lyra rather enjoyed her solitude and so did Lavinia. They enjoyed each others company. Although Lavinia did want to seek out the world and unlike other girls her age (7 or so years of age) she explored the wilderness everyday and enjoyed looking at trees and running around and analysing different flowers.

But one day she was out in the woods and came across a few bandits picking on two little children and Lavinia was hesitant to help them but she had to prove to herself she had some sort of bravery inside of her. So she decided to confront the bandits and help the little boys escape, but the bandits ran after her and chased her back to her house. Once she arrived her house she just managed to slam the door in front of the bandits. She then called out for her mother and Lavinia saw her mother run down to the basement that she was never allowed in and she came back up with a sword in her right hand holding a bracelet in her palm with the sword holding it there. Her mother told her to move out of the way with a harsh tone in her voice and Lavinia complied and moved. When her mother walked out the door it was last time she saw her face. Lavinia heard swords clash and arrows sawing through the sky. After mintues Lavinia ran out to see if her mother was alright but when she came out she saw both of the bandits on the ground bleeding from there throats and a short ways from them was her mother laying there with an arrow in her stomach. Lavinia's mother had her hand clench and held up to the sky. Then Lavinia ran over towards her mother and cried grabbing her hand gently and said whilst struggling speak because of the shock and the tears blurring her vision. "Mother, I'm so sorry this is all my fault.." She said sobbing not being able to say much. Then her mother replied. She smiled into the sky and said. "It's okay.." Tears rolled down her face as the life in her faded with her last breath. After that day Lavinia taught herself to fight and kept herself as far away from people as possible. But she promised herself that she would try and help others, for her dear mother Lyra..

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Lavinia is a kind yet quiet person. She tends to be untrustworthy most of the time. Habits, she doesn't have many but she tends to be harsher towards and mostly men.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Lavinia wishes to protect, mainly she wants to be a guard of sorts.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Swordsmanship.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Being social.

• Your definitions of Roleplay, Metagaming and Power-emoting are clearly plagerized. You may use information from the internet to learn about the terms, but please explain the terms in your own words; rather than copy-pasting them. Repeating this will result in a 24-hour ban from applying;
• Your biography states that your human character was born in Laureh'lin. The city of Laureh'lin is a wood elven settlement, I encourage you to use a human originated city instead in your lore;
• Your character's strenghts and weaknesses are vague. We'd love to hear of what your character is good and not-so-good at doing in detail;
• Your character's ambitions are vague but acceptable. I encourage you to go in detail about what (or who) your character wishes to protect;
• The personality traits of your application has been left unfilled; please fill it with the necessary information;
• Bandits killing parents is a cliché backstory. It's acceptable, but I personally suggest you changing it to a more unique event.
