Spoiler

Ahem! Yes, this thread is in fact, in character. However!! The knowledge within this thread, I.E., my character's location or what my character is doing, is UNKOWN to anyone and everyone unless they have some strangely reasonable ...reason, for being present in the RP. If you believe that you would be able to be present in this "area" or zone, where she is, then by all means message me saying why. If I approve and see you are not a filthy metagamer, I will allow you to reply ICly to this post. I doubt anyone will get such approval. As such, I won't reveal the true location of where Vivianne is. However, any time I AM posting updates here, I am also in game!!! This gives you the chance to interact. Any time I post here, I will have Vivianne travel to the undisclosed location IN GAME, every time. So, you can't get angry about not being /able/ to do something about this post. Simply find her in game, and that will automatically give you permission to reply to this post. If we proceed to RP in game, I will simply screenshot the RP and then write it out here in narrative form as a reply, so as to keep the forum thread up to date.

This post is mostly for my own benefit, to record the happenings here for future reference and usage. So please, don't abuse it. Thank you.

Happy reading!

((From here on, the post is IC.))

Vivianne stands for a moment, before boarding the ship. She let the soft sea breeze tousle her viney hair for a few moments, soaking in the bright, shining sun. She smiled, finally feeling like she could do something, she climbed onto the ladder of the ship, and sailed off.

The Search

She stepped off the docks and into the sand, her shoe-less toes wiggling in the soft material. She put a finger to her chin as she pondered over where to turn next..

"It has to be easy to remember.. I'd hate to get lost.." She whispered to herself, turning then to continue a bit further. She focused on where she was going, in hopes of remembering well.

Counting her footsteps casually as she followed a stone road, she stopped at a fork. She pondered for a while on which way to turn.. Standing there in the sunlight, soaking it all in. After some time.. She stepped on, continuing on one of the paths.

"Something away from civilization.. A private place, like a grove, or a cave, even. I don't want anyone finding me and interrupting.."

She spoke to herself as she walked along the roads, watching the wilds on either side for a good, memorable landmark.

After what seemed like hours of endless travel, Vivianne selected a place, sitting in the grass by a beautiful tree. Smiling up at it's bountiful branches, she sighed, hoping this place did not belong to someone else.

She placed in front of her, a bag of seeds, and a small clay pot. She gently took a piece of thick yarn and tied back her viney hair, just so it would stay at her back as she sat somewhat leaned over.

The Practice

Carefully, Vivianne took many breaths. She closed her eyes, meditating in silence. She sat very still, concentrating, and yet, relaxing. She places her hands in lap and touches the tips of her fingers together, feeling the tip of each as they connect. She imagined the flow of nature around her, like an aura of peace as life followed it's course. Slowly, but surely, what was her passive, primitive understanding of nature would strengthen. The longer she meditated, the more she could hear. However, there was much she could not understand.

She could understand the flow of the beings of nature which she was the host of, the mint and passion flowers that grew and fed from her body since her creation. She understood the vines of her hair, and in a way, herself, the sap flowing through her veins, and inevitably, the parasite within her that controlled it all. She saw this not as an enemy, but simply as another piece of nature, she could not feel hate toward it, though perhaps reason would suggest so.

No, she ignored it. She pushed on, trying to sense and feel the nature -around- her, not within. Although passing this barrier was difficult, after a few hours of meditation, it could be achieved. Perched in the sunlight, she had an excess of energy, and could stay here longer than what a human or elf could handle. That was in fact, what she did. She sat here, doing nothing but meditating, taking breaks only to drink water, for the remainder of the day.

As night fell, she sighed, the sunlight leaving her, the tiring weight of focus she had expended finally fell upon her shoulders. She relaxed, releasing her hold on the communion and letting the voices of nature fade away. She yawned tiredly, pushing herself closer to the trunk of the fruit bearing tree, she would reach up, and climb into it's branches. She perched herself there in the center of the tree where the branches connected, and closed her eyes. Here she meditated for the next few hours of the night.

She would think of nothing this night, simply hearing the flow of nature around her as though she were part of the tree, a peaceful, quiet sleep.

[The following day! 07/24/2016 - Early morning! ]

Vivianne opened her eyes as the sun's light began to brighten the skies from the other side of the horizon. She smiled warmly, climbing down from her perch in the tree. She sat herself back upon the ground, sighing to herself as she plucked the bottle of sugar water from her belt, and drank what was remaining of it.

"I'll have to return to town soon to get a few supplies.. I hope I don't waste too much time. I want to become stronger.." She smiled at the empty green bottle, wondering if she'd ever see her helpful human friend again who made it for her.

She crossed her legs, looking up into the branches of the tree.

"How long should I meditate.. Until I notice a difference..? What if I end up meditating for ages without knowing I should have started trying to perform.." She furrows her brow, this worry crossing her.

"I could try to find another teacher.. But I don't want to bother anyone." She reached over and set her palm on the trunk of the tree. "What do you think. Should I continue to work on my own and hope I don't screw it up? I don't know a lot about druids.. Or their magic, or I guess, our magic. Hm.."

For some time, she went on like this, questioning her resolve that had been to banish herself to the forests until her strength was formidable. She questioned her methods.

After some thinking, she came to a conclusion.

"I'll meditate as much as I can, until my communion with nature is perfect.. Then I'll seek out a teacher. At least I can work this much, to get a good head start." She nods to this resolve, re-adjusting her sitting position.

And then.. For what would seem like hours again, Vivianne would sit in total silence, and stillness. She would listen to the world around her, soaking in all of it's precious whispers. Collecting what she could as she focused on reaching outward, broadening her ability, understanding more of what she could hear. This is what she would do.. for many days to come.

As time had passed on, Vivianne had run low on supplies, forcing her to leave her miniature grove and to venture into town to acquire goods. During the time she had spent at the tree, meditating, practicing on leaves and twigs as Sister Bear had shown her, and tending to her own physical-herbal needs, she had expended much energy. She filled two jars with Passion flower petals, and 2 more with mint leaves. She grew and picked 3 passion fruit, and she made 5 tea bags out of the browning leaves and petals from both.

In town, she bought more jars, bags for tea, a wooden box of carry-able size, and stocked a little on medical supplies. She spent the day wandering from town to town to refresh her mind and relax from the days she had spent in total solitude, but as she wandered.. She wondered about the druids.

Curiosity flaming, she pondered over her current position. Being a novice druid of barely any skill, she would need a teacher, and Sister Bear has not been seen for some time.. so who would it be. She thought on this for many hours to come, occasionally leaving it be, and coming back to it. Even once she had returned to the tree, she had not built her own courage. She simply organized her things and went back to her daily doings.. Meditating at the tree's base, listening to the whispers of the world around her.

Another month had passed by, and still every day Vivianne was here at this tree. It was less so that she wished to gain power, and more so that, in her practice here, she had reached a sort of peace. Before, when she spent her days wandering the Cloud Temple or braving the city streets it was a constant struggle.

People judged her, watched her with surprise in their eyes.. feared her. People would shout and throw rocks at her, or banish her from their businesses and cities. Occasionally, a kind soul would find her, but all they ever did was tell her how sorry they are.. They pity her, console her and tell her how they wish it wasn't this way. She always wonders, how long will it take, before they are used to me? Should I give up on trying to associate myself in society, like Vinoth said? Odd.. How her only friend was an immortal paleknight, bent on destroying humanity. Yet, he spares her, for reasons she doesn't know.

She looked up into the tree's canopy of leaves, by now she was sure, if this tree could hear the words she spoke from her heart, it would know more of her than any mortal could ever know. But, she smiled. In spite of the sorrow she thought she should be feeling, here she was happy, alone and yet, not. The stronger and more focused her communion with nature became, the easier it was for her to cope with being here for longer periods of time. It wasn't truly like being alone, no.. The mint on her shoulders, the flowers at her feet, the ancient tree growing over her head, they all had spirits, and she could feel them.

She chuckled to herself, how fitting it would be, that she would find a place which was more like home to her, and it happened to be in the middle of the woods. It was enough that she herself was a Bryophite, but now also a Druid. She wondered silently to herself what she must look like to other people.. But then she frowned. She knew what she looked like to other people, she looked like a monster.

She closed her eyes, shutting away her sorrows and returning once more into her state of meditation, ignoring the thoughts in her own mind and dissolving into the world around her..

After some time mingling with the druids in the grove, Vivianne managed to procure a new Teacher. Za, the Shark Druid, was to become her mentor. They had a lesson later on and he went over with her and another student, the act of asking plants requests. She had never done this before, though quite skilled in the field of Communing with Nature due to her time spent meditating, she had never done much other than speak with the plants around her. This was new to her, and yet, somewhat easy.

She did well in the lesson, and was eager to try once more, but she felt a little more time meditating couldn't hurt.

And thus, another night was spent at her favorite tree. However, a new voice came to greet her the next time she meditated there.. A patch of moss had developed in the place where Vivianne had been sitting for so long. She took seat once more and slipped into that easy state of mind, letting the voices around her fill her head and drive away her sorrow.

Hundreds of thousands of voices, all speaking at the same time, some louder, some easier to understand, some strange or barbaric..

One, was very clear and easy to hear.

"A host? No.. A sapling? Nay.. Parent, a parent sits with us." The voice was dark, and it sent shudders down Vivianne's spine. She ignored the voice, but she knew what it was. The patch of moss nestled beneath her in her sitting spot was in fact, a patch of Verridian. She must have spored it here in all her time in the forests. Such was to be expected.. She refused to speak to the moss, in stead, focusing on the more pleasant spirits around her.

Another day of mingling with the druids, they played truth or dare in a circle for what seemed like hours. Though Vivianne did not partipate in many dares, it was quite interesting to watch, after all. They're so friendly with each other, it was amazing to see how tightly knit the community was, she enjoyed it immensely.

Of course, all of this was relayed to the tree at her sitting spot, she told the tree everything, every day. It had become her new friend, although she wasn't sure if plants were able to comprehend such notions, she enjoyed talking to it either way. Every time she spoke with the tree, the moss beneath her would speak as well, but she acted as though she could not hear it, wishing not to conversate with the very thing which had brought her to such a low point in her life.

After spending a few hours in that day telling all her stories, she rested against the tree's trunk, comfortable on the soft moss, and meditated, staying in communion with the plants through the night.

(((This portion of the record will be done in emotes in game, as it is a magic practice and must be RP'd out on the server.)))

Vivianne prepared for the day, packing bottles of sugar water, some food and of course her usual belongings. She set out from the cloud temple, going straight back behind the market and walking, until the sun went down. Once she was sure she was far enough out that no one would find her, she set her things down, crossed her legs, took a deep breath.. And started. There before her was a small flower, she dug in her pockets and pulled out a few flower seeds, each a different kind, and set them before herself.

[[[ A large break was here, I will haveto explain it in an RP post here later on as to why Vivianne was incapable of practicing.. I have hit an unfortunate event in my home life that is limiting my ability to regularly roleplay and it will take time to get myself away from this situation, when I have the time, I'll write out a post about something that explains why she hasn't been practicing. Ill probly just make up something about bandits trapping her somewhere or something, and then write about that every now and then until I can get back into roleplay once I'm back in a better place at home. Until then, sorry :3 ]]]

Vivianne wanders the empty druidic grove, walking by the pathways and traversing through the woods around them. The whispers of the world's life speak out to her as she wandered, trees and flowers alike muttered in her passing. She came to a small field, inhabited with quite the number of trees and flowers alike.

She sat there in the center of it, turning her head this way and that as she listened to the whispers of nature around her, she smiled. Here she felt more at peace than she did in any other place, inhabited with violent humans or judgemental others, no race or city was safe, not for someone like her.

But here, here she was safe. She lay her palms in the grass, feeling the warmth of the earth where the sun had blessed it with it's shining light. She gently closed her eyes, focusing now on the world around her, though it took little effort. She smiled then, as she would continue on with her day before it was her time to rest. Speaking to the trees and the flowers as though they were old friends, telling them the stories of her adventures, describing the great cities, talking about the pleasures of the world she often explored.

As her stories came to a close, she bid the plant life goodnight, and became still. And there she would sit in silence as she meditated, for the remainder of the day, and the following night.

[Nov. 1st 2016]

As Vivianne finished her game of chess with her old friend, she bid him and their spectactor farewell. However, she soon realised it was late in the evening, and she would not have time to return to the grove before true nightfall was upon them. She did not enjoy being left in the darkness alone, as her bright glow often brought unwanted attention upon her during this time of night. As such.. She departed off into the woods nearby.

As she walked, she listened to the whispers of nature, they recognised her, though she had not spoken with these forests before. She sat within a clearing, no flowers grew, thanks to the autumn season, and dried leaves lay upon the ground. She smiled at the sleepy trees around her, crossing her legs as she prepared to meditate for the night. She greeted them, and sweetly, asked that they watch over her as she would remain here for the night. Should danger come, she'd like a warning, so that she could flee.

Remaining focused in her deep meditation, she could very clearly hear the world around her, and so, she became still, and remained there for the night.

[ Through the month of November I actively RP'd nightly meditations, practicing Control of Nature and learning Herbology, however once December came I became inactive, so i shall begin again at this point, this means I still require one more month of actively RPing nightly meditations in order to achieve Tier 5 Commune, I will update my MA with Tier 4 Control, and Tier 1 Herblore, and continue from those points once I am more active with them! ^_^ I just don't always remember to update this thread, lol. ]

[1/4/17]

Vivianne was a long way from society, deep in the forests surrounding the roads that curved and twisted away from the lands of Oren. She walked calmly, her footfall was quiet as she stepped over tree-roots and plants, ducking under branches and skirting around p uddles of collected water teaming with isolated life.

She just walked, for what reason she wasn't sure. The world of nature around her new of her presence, she was here often, and the trees and flowers were healthy here. Everything she touched seemed to accept her, moss grew where her hands touched tree trunks, flowers bloomed as she passed them by. She had spent the past few years here, just living with the forest.

As she reached a clearing, she broke through the line of the trees and walked out into it's center. Bright sunlight bled into the clearing from the cloudless skies, and she happily sat down in the soft blanket of lush green grass. She lay back in it, the blades of grass straightening, just barely standing a little taller than she, and everything that her glow touched teamed with life.

She closed her eyes gently, smiling, as she was always connected to this world. And in this silence, she became still, she sighed once to herself and then she was in meditation. Over the course of the following hours here, it would seem as though she were sleeping. Tiny flower buds would begin to grow around her, and as the sun drifted below the horizon, fireflies would fill the clearing and light it, like tiny yellow fairies. Animals would occasionally come to the clearing to watch, in awe of the Bryophites dedication, staying in the clearing for some time before they would go back to their little forest homes.

This was the daily life of the young, isolated Vivianne.

[1/5/17]

Vivianne opened her eyes, blinking into the night sky as she took in where she was. She still lie in the clearing, flowers blooming all around her, a cat lay curled by her side, and fireflies blinked overhead. She smiled, this was peace. Some part of her knew that this was what she needed, for every day to be like this. But that irrational part of her still felt like it needed something, that human interaction she so craved. It wanted to move her feet, to stand her up and to walk her back to the lands of Oren, the lands of her home.

She frowned as she thought of this, she knew what would happen if she did. If she went back, she would surely die again. And who knows how often someone can come back? How many times could she be killed before the monks would stop bringing her back? Or stop being able to, even. No one knew how it worked, and she's pushing it if there's a limit. She sighed.

She got up carefully, gently moving the cat onto a patch of soft grass, it purred in it's unbroken sleep. She brushed her vine like hair back behind her shoulders and started walking again.

"Nothing can change them.." She spoke to herself, "They'll never just openly accept me of their own accord." She ducked under a branch, walking around the large tree, leaving moss where she leaned on it as she climbed over it's roots. "I need to find a way to convince them, that I am not a monster." She listened to the replies from the world around her, they invited her in, told her that she could stay there with them forever, she smiled. "I wish I could stay here forever, but I'm human, like the rest of them.. Though I may look different, I was born among them. I don't belong here alone, though they frighten me, I need people." The smile she gave as genuine, but it was also a sad smile.

All around her the forest would say, she could spend her days here with them forever, and she so wished she could. But there was always something there, whispering 'Oren..' 'Oren..' in the back of her mind. Something always dragged her back, forced her to see it in a higher light than everything else. Even she knew it made no sense, but she couldn't fight it. No matter how much logic came into play, she always had to go back.

After a long night of traveling, the sun was beginning to climb back up over the horizon again. She finished her mindless banter and climbed up into a tall oak tree, resting in the center where the branches met. She crossed her legs, and closed her eyes. Taking in a calm breath, the world around her became all that filled her mind, and once more, she would meditate the day away. In the coming hours, birds would come to rest in the branches of her tree, singing beautiful songs to her as she listened. Squirrels danced in the nearby trees, and caterpillars would crawl along her fingertips, before leaving her to her thoughts. Here she would stay, like this, until the sun had reached the far horizon again, drifting below it once more.
