What is roleplaying?: The acting out or performance of a particular role either consciously or unconsciously. Changing into a character of your choice as to act like them for fun.

What is metagaming?: Using information your character would not know of to your advantage or mixing your ooc and ic. Ex. if your real name was 'Jack' then you'd tell the person icly not oocly because telling them oocly would be metagaming.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Forcing emotes upon another character. (commonly as to seek death/pain upon them) Ex. You cannot say "Slices your head off". Obviously, you cannot simply "Slice someones head off". If they had a weapon they should have a chance to block, parry the attack.

 

In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.) Newt was born in 1560. Newt comes from the wilderness where she lived with her brother, Velvet. They lived in a quaint little burrow where she was taught by her brother to cook while she was self taught to steal from those less needing of what they owned. While living in the burrow, Newt learned a small bit about the halfling race and the many other races that she'd meet along her journey. One day, her brother Velvet unexpectedly fleed from the burrow in which they lived. She left off in search for her brother where she ended up in Sutica. There, she seeked directions that would soon lead her to her brother. A stranger told her to travel to Reedsbrorough, there, she searched and searched and eventually found her brother.
