Judgment: Theresa de Hartcold (Prosecutor) v Devon Peters (Accused)

Issued and Confirmed by Lanre de Hartcold (High Magistrate-Judge), 11th of Sun's Smile, 1668,

 

IN THE NAME OF THE DUKE:

 

 

1. The prosecutor has accused Devon Peters of  TREASON.

 

2. Given that the accused:

(a). Has admitted that he alerted Halsworthy and frustrated the plans of the military of the Duchy of Rivia.

(b). Apologizes for what he has done.

(c). Wants to continue being part of the Ducal Guard of Rivia.

 

3. The judge's verdict is that Devon Peters is GUILTY of TREASON and OBSTRUCTION, in accordance with The Charter of Liberties and Privileges.

 

4. The judge has decided to:

(a). Condemn Devon Peters to be one year in prison. However, If Devon Peters pays 5000 minas to the Duchy of Rivia he'll be set free and pardoned.

(b). Order Devon Peters to apologize and swear a new oath of fealty to the duke of Rivia, in order to continue being part of the Ducal Guard of Rivia.
