Rockjaws

Recommended Posts

*Varrick after several months of quietness brings out books of knowledge that are known as 'The History of the Rockjaw', the cover being dwarves with dirty blonde hair. Inside the book would be written information about the History of the Rockjaw clan, on the front would be their old symbol that represented them.*

Etymology

The origin of the Rockjaw name originates from their hard, defined and chiseled jaws that seem quite more difficult to break than regular dwarven jaws.

History

Aegis

No great clan has ever not suffered lose. The Rockjaw clan felt theirs in Aegis. Originally living with the Elven group Na'strada over their original kin the clan was often given their name. While minor disputes erupted over the choice to live with 'knife ears' instead of dwedic kin no major issues happened. Over time the elves suffered loss and withered from the realm leaving the clan to often be mistaken as the Nastrada, due to a variety of choices, as they carried throughout the known realms. The Rockjaw day would come soon after their adoptive elven kin, the battle of the undead. It claimed the mighty Odin Rockjaw along with a large swath of their kinfolk. The only three known that miraculously survived the slaughter of the clan being Kimarai, Drakon, and Kaskaro. These three brothers being the last to carry on their line where it might lead. Other family members had an unknown location.

Asulon

The arrival to Asulon would find the brothers handling grief in their own ways. Kimarai unfortunately fell into theft through the use of an illegal alcohol. This would lead the to the brothers being kicked out of the capital and operating their own tavern named after their forefathers elven friends "Nastrada Tavern" on the roads. Drakon would use this time to become an honorary orc and further himself in a pursuit of honor. Kimarai's greed was in that of power not gold like most of his kin. This would lead to his joining of the Twilight army and dedicated himself enough to earn him its spot of leadership. Around this time it is also of note Kimarai took over salvus leadership for a year before being removed by oren due to his lack of appearances, it is unknown if the twilight army had any bearing on this. Continuing his downward spiral though at some point in his time of power Kimarai would develop the disguise of 'K' under which multiple murders took place across multiple settlements. The twilight army would bear a new badge called the New Dawn in Kimarai's drive to hold more power and shape the world with his 'order'. The last major escapade of the trio recorded in this realm is Kimarai's wooing and eventual bedding of Titania Hawksong, no further information has been found at this time on that union.

Anthos

Anthos saw the return of the Nastrada tavern, this time doubling as a front for the New dawn mercenary group. 'K' would finally be captured from his rampages and imprisoned in the sky by the High King at the time. It is wholly unknown how Kimarai escaped this prison but it is known he would soon vanish after that, lost to any who bothered to search. Drakon and Kaskaro would follow simpler lives with their brothers absence, operating the tavern and New Dawn in his stead. with the end of Anthos drawing near the Nastrada tavern was burned down for reasons unknown.

Fringe-Thales

A wild war torn land is the memory that the fringe-thales realm has left on all realms after it, for the Rockjaw it was no different. Drakon and Kaskaro would pursue the greed of power and in turn money that their brother had laid out for them in the New Dawn. With their raise in public knowledge and reputation and therefore a raise in income the brothers soon fell into squabble and disbanded the New dawn before ultimately abandoning each other.

Athera

Compared to their previous impact on the realms Athera would be a lackluster realm for the Rockjaw clan. Kaskaro would continue his Mercenary work, charging premium fees for premium work with varying success at being hired. Drakon returned to his hard to stop habits he picked up from the Orcs. While his drug induced drunken life was not something he minded the dwarf still sought for the honor that was instilled in him and so joined the Urguan dwarven legion

Vailor

Vailor would not be the highest point for the clan sadly. Kaskaro's life would finally catch up with him, facing death in conflict due to his work. Drakon would continue to fight as he could or was allowed. The death of his brother however drove him to a point of breaking as he drifted off into drugs and alcohol abuse, just another washed up warrior wandering the realm.

Axios

Axios saw the return of the lost brother Kimarai though he would bring with him a son called Varrick. Unknowing of much of his brothers actions while he was away Kimarai would reopen the family tavern and live a called life with his son. It would appear for a good chunk of time his son mellowed out many of the issues Kimarai had suffered through in his earlier days. Varrick would be brought up with stories of the clans golden age and the exploits of his father and uncles.

Atlas

The death of Ugruan in late Axios would see the revival of the Rockjaw clan under Varrick. sent by his father to the new Kingdom of Ulrah Varrick sought to make a name for himself first, a name for his clan second. The Silverveins would be who he called family and clans mates during his time there. through the same hard work put in by his father Varrick became first Harold, then clan father of the Silverveins. His first order of business would be to release himself and another dwarf of oaths as part of rebirthing the clan and giving it a shot at glory. Drakon would return at some point, his illness of addiction painted clearly before he sets off as Kaskaro did, the warriors death is what he sought and soon found. Varrick would be struck with the need to learn more of his family upon Drakon's dramatic entrance and exit of his life. Appointing a new clan father to the Silverveins, Varrick set off to cloud temple and with the aid of monks sought records of his clan. What scrolls could be found were written by Odin himself, this only leading to inspire the budding leader to once more make his clan known in the realms.
