TLDR

The Delevoye family History is long and devastating. Traditionally a matriarchy, the Delevoyes have a history of fun-loving carefree mali’ker with a big focus on family. In appearance, most of the Delevoyes have dark ashy skin with either black or white hair with dominant purple eyes, most of the clan have small forms with the women usually being under 5’7. While they are not the most well-known clan, the Delevoyes have persevered and thrived for centuries.

OOC: Currently looking for people to join the clan, we’ve been around since vailor and are currently based out of the onyx sanctum.

HISTORY

KALVO DELEVOYE

Spoiler

Kalvo Delevoye grew up in a family who did not have any struggles, money, jobs, none. This did not mean they were rich, they lived in a small home together while Kalvo’s father and his brothers worked, day in and day out. Kalvo had two older brothers who later on in life married and had children of their own. They prided themselves in their struggless life and told Kalvo he should dream big for times were changing, and if they wished to keep such a life they would have to think bigger then being simple smiths. Kalvo thought of such advice and remembered how he could easily come across something useless  to most people and turn it into something grand. He became a tinkerer and at first his family laughed at his idiocy, saying that his trinkets would get him nothing and he’d live a poor life, one no woman would want to be a part of. But Kalvo worked hard and sold them at a booth one day. He earned a large amount of money for it and soon was able to make his own market booth for his trinkets. People from all over came to his booth to buy what he created and soon he earned more than his whole family ever did. He showed them his earnings and basked in the glory of proving them wrong. One day while he was manning his booth a beautiful dark elven woman came and spoke to him in a gentle, kind voice.

She laughed at his terrible jokes about the trinkets and listened to how each were made. He became enamored with her quickly and tried to find her each day, giving her a rose each time he did. Soon they began to court and four months later they happily married. Kalvo’s new wife was named Freya and she had pale blue hair with dark purple eyes and pitch black skin. Two years of trying for a child finally paid off once Freya gave birth to their first son Archontas. He had his mother's dark black skin and purple eyes while he was given his father’s almost white hair. He grew up with a playful, carefree attitude and loved helping his father with his merchant booth. But not only did he love making trinkets but watching his mother sew clothing. Yes Freya was a tailor and helped add to the market booth, bringing in even more customers with her lavish dresses. Soon when Archontas was eighteen years old Freya gave birth to Ethir, Archontas’ brother. Ethir looked exactly like his father.

With purple eyes, white hair and dark skin. Ethir grew up differently then Archontas, he always lived in Archontas’ shadow and grew envious of him. Ethir did not like the merchant business nor did he like tailoring or tinkering. He was the odd duck who took to smithing like Kalvo’s two brothers did. But instead of making axes and pickaxes he made swords and battle axes, imagining using them himself.

ARCHONTAS DELEVOYE

Spoiler

Once Archontas reached the age of fifty he bought a merchant booth of his own and created painting and trinkets instead. He loved art and would often spend his days in front of a canvas. Just two years later he met Lily, an aristocratic woman who was two years older than him and loved the arts, music and painting. She grew up in a family of high status and loved buying Archontas’ paintings. She’d go to his booth and buy one just about every week, commenting on something she liked about it. Archontas felt a pull towards her quickly. She was a beautiful woman with black hair and light purple eyes with obsidian colored skin. Her high cheekbones could cut and her wide eyes somehow made her look innocent. They fell in love with one another in a fast manner, going from talking of art one day to talking of the future they could have. Just after a week of knowing one another they courted and married two months later. It was a lavish wedding with hundreds of guests. After four years of being together they still had not bore a child which caused for a strain between the two. Lily wanted a son more than anything while Archontas wanted a daughter. They tried everything they could, from remedies to rituals, nothing happened. Archontas grew angry of such and spent most his days in the local city with his merchant booth. One day he decided to get his wife a new dress and went to the local tailor. Instead of finding the old lady who usually made Lily’s dresses he found a much younger woman with piercing, pale purple eyes and black skin to make them pop. She had chubby cheeks and pale blue hair, a smile was etched on her face as she listened to Archontas list off the things his wife would want the dress to have.

Soon he came by three times a week, always saying he needed a new dress when really he just wanted to see her. The tailor’s name was Iangneth and she soon held Archontas’ heart. One day he stopped by the place just before it closed and they ended up spending their time in a tavern. Things took a turn and they ended up renting a room, spending that night doing unfaithful things. Soon it became a thing they did once a week, meeting up in the same tavern to speak amongst one another, then rent the same room to do the same private things. But a year into doing such Kalvo made a surprise visit to Archontas and found out about his activities. He was enraged with Archontas’ foolish ways and made him end it at once. He told Archontas that he was to end it or he’d tell Lily himself. Archontas ended it quickly, telling Iangneth that he can never see her again and that they may never talk again. Heart broken Iangneth moved away to live somewhere that did not hold the memories of her past love and soon found out she was pregnant. She gave birth to a boy nine months later and raised him with the utmost honesty, always telling him the truth when he asked about his father. Back where Archontas was he lived miserably for six years before he found out Lily was pregnant. Overjoyed he fell back in love with Lily and treated her right, never once letting him think of Iangneth and their time spent together. Soon Lily gave birth to a girl named Arabella and they raised her with love and care. Lily loved her daughter but was never a very maternal type which led to a strain in their relationship.

ETHIR DELEVOYE

Spoiler

Ethir grew up distant from his family, he was not interested in their silly crafts  and decided to follow the original family business. He would go to a blacksmith and ask him how to make swords. Soon enough Ethir was one of the best blacksmiths in town, but he did not care, for he wanted to see his works of art on the battlefield. Ethir seeked a trainer so he may join the army, after many weeks of searching he found a man named Allard who taught him how to fight using a sword, Ethir trained and trained until one day Allard noticed his apprentices destructive behavior and decided to cut lessons short, making excuses on why they cannot train. Ethir practiced his sword fighting alone whenever Allard was not there, one day Ethir could not hold it in, he had to get his blade into real action. Ethir went into a town to apply for the army when orcs showed up and raided the town. Ethir thought this would be the perfect time to test his skills out. He was ruthless and showed no mercy, Allard was one of the few men who came to help the town but only to find it covered in dead Orcs. Allard looked at Ethir to see him stabbing an already dead Orc in the head. Allard knew he created a monster and he had to put it down. So one night he invited Ethir to have have dinner with him where he poisoned Ethir’s food. Ethir noticed something strange about his food and asked Allard if he could taste it first, Allard refused and Ethir knew he had been betrayed. He stood up and ran his sword right through his mentors chest. Ethir showed no sorrow about what he had just done, he left his mentor to bleed on the ground. A week later word of Allard’s death had spread around town and Ethir knew he had to leave. He quickly signed up to become part of the Army, far away from his town so he will not be punished for his crimes. He fought many battles and was admired by many, but it was not enough he wanted more of a challenge. He persuaded his general to sent him on a task in Athera, then general agreed that he can go, but only to save the villagers. Once there the fight was more than Ethir expected. He was beaten badly and was losing blood, he decided to quickly shelter himself in a home a bit far away for the fight. One he got there he encountered a beautiful woman, her name was Cora. Cora healed him and fed him a good meal, she begged him not to go out again for is he did he would die. Ethir listened to the woman for he thought she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Once the fighting was over he went back to his general who shamed him for leaving the battle like a coward and not dying a hero, the general banished him from the army for he did not want any cowards in his troops. Furious, Ethir would return back to the village, when Cora saw him she hugged him and said she was thankful he was safe. He told her what happened and out of pity she was able for him to get his own house in the village near hers. They spent many months together and Ethir grew fond of Cora, and Cora felt the same way. They were in court together for 4 years until finally one day he asked her to marry him, she gladly accepted. All was good until one day Ethir found out his ex General and his men had killed one of his good friends. Ethir swelled with rage and would take it out on Cora. Cora thought if maybe they have a child her husband would be kind again. So after a few months Cora gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Elora, but it did not work, Ethir had gathered a guild and he became more abusive than ever. One day he forced Cora to leave or she would be punished to death. She tried to take Elora with her but he did not let her. She had no other choice but to flee leaving her daughter with that horrible man. Ethir was cruel to Elora when she grew older, he made her his servant and she endured countless beatings and labor. Once she reached the right age Elora would pass on his legacy as leader of the guild. He forced her to marry a terrible man named Raylion. Elora could not lead the guild alone, so she had no choice but to follow his wishes. On the day of the wedding he was stabbed by Elora in her desperate ways to be free from him. Elora ran away to Valior never to be seen by the guild again.
