The Dissolution Of The Concordat

To restore a Kingdom to its former glory

The journey had taken its toll on the assembled Mali’ker, but their trials were not yet at an end. Soon they would reach Athera, land of old. The citizens of Renelia and the Onyx Sanctum alike shared this voyage together, within the cramped confinements of their ship. It was late at night; by now, most of their travellers were fast asleep in the creaking hull of the . In one dimly lit room, the leaders of the Ashen Folk gathered around a table. Amongst them the young, and yet inexperienced Mortal Prince, Ailmar. On the table, lay large stacks of documents, ready for his discerning eyes. Paperwork had always been one of Ailmar’s primary pastimes; the trip to Athera was no exception to this.

 

Those gathered around read over the documents one last time, before each person present penned down their signature.

 

On the Concordat and the Onyx Sanctum

 

Article I.

The Golden-Onyx Concordat, a treaty and political entity formed in 1745 shall be dissolved in its entirety.

 

Article II.

The Onyx Sanctum, as a state shall be released from its oaths and from the Renelian territories. Under the guidance of Dak’ir Des’Nox shall they be allowed to venture to new lands under this name.

 

Article III.

The previous Onyx Sanctum within The Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn shall be rebranded as the Ashen Clergy. The Ashen Clergy shall serve as the religious authority of the Ashen Folk of New Magara’lin. Positions of power held within the previous Onyx Sanctum shall be transitioned over to the Ashen Clergy. Members of the Ashen Clergy and the previous citizenry of the Onyx Sanctum shall be considered fully fledged citizens of the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn.

 

Article IV.

The current settlement of the Onyx Sanctum shall be abandoned. The Ashen Clergy shall be moved below the new temple of Renelia.  Here housing and shrines will be provided for those who previously resided within the Onyx Sanctum. This housing area will be part of the temple grounds, exempt from taxation but only available to the members of the Ashen Clergy.

 

Article V.

The Clan of Jusmia, previously a part of the Onyx Sanctum shall be elevated to Clan status within the Kingdom of Renelia-Gladewynn, where they will be given a clan hall within the undercity of New Magara’lin.
