Tree Burrows

The tree burrow can blend in with Elven forests or Dwarven caverns. If placed underground, my design could be melded with a mountain or stone cavern in order to make it even more dwarfy. The idea is essentially a short, fat tree. Here are some screenshots:

General look.

The entrance. I think it looks pretty good with the new stone bricks and the vines.

An unlit fireplace - I don't have a firespread mod. Simple main room.

The upstairs: A bit more tree-ish, but very tight and cozy

This is just a prototype. What are your thoughts and comments?

[[Loving it! I could live in one of those myself, very cozy! :3

Another great thing about your design is that it isn't obtrusive!

Perhaps the Dwarves could convert the underground tree farm into a park area with your Tree burrows? That'd be awesome.]]

OOC: Thanks! I'm sure we could devise ways to have multiple rooms on each level, more space, etc. The new mossy stone bricks are perfect for the concept of forest dwarf. Another idea might be one big tree that about four or five forest dwarves could share.

[[i shall put my creative mode hat on and get down to some designs, i think.]]

Looks great! Though we got rid of the tree farms, and are undergoing a lot of reconstruction. And we just built new housing a bit less dwarven than the rest. The real problem though is we have one forest dwarf.

It's just a suggestion. Perhaps if the forest dwarves could have foresty homes in the dwarven capital, there would be more of them, as some are currently turned off by the idea of being outcast. I really just made this in response to the multitude of threads about what to do with forest dwarves.

Yeah I know in the new world there will be more of towns, and have sub races used in role play more. But having trees would make my in character mad underground lol.

Haha, well maybe I can devise a variant that would look more in-place underground.

Here's my alternative... It's not as good as yours Petyr i'm afraid :(

View from Entrance (Disguised as a root, could be used to link houses/rooms?)

Whatta 'ranquil fount'n! Ahhh....

Gives off a nice glow. I was thinking that maybe forest dwarves prefered twilight (Under the canopy of trees) due to them still having photo-sensitive eyes from living underground for years.

I like it a lot! It's a lot more elvish than Algrim will probably like, though. I really like the hallway and the fountain.

For the time being, Perhaps we can make a temporary district for the Forest Dwarves in the woods by Hogarth's Cathedral? Just an idea until we get our underground situation all cleared up.

I mean there all really good designs, but I am trying to maintain the kingdom more dwarven. The reason my in character does not like it. Think of it like a political party though. A cave dwarf is King. Most of his decisions will not involve forest areas, but caverns. But maybe, just MAYBE Ill look into it.
