A tattered tome is discovered in some ashes. It appears to be bound in some form of blackened leather, it has a very course texture, and weighs a something significant. The first page reads as follows:

After several blank water stained pages the following is scribed.

Many incoherent ramblings follow, very few phrases are decipherable amidst the ink smudges and charring.

The Druid Resprien has warned me to stop my research it will only corrupt me and the forest....

If I join the darkness perhaps I can infiltrate them and persuade them the elves are no threat to their exsistance....

I will see to the destruction of the mortals, the Council will see, the Druid will see....

Many of the next pages are very charred, and smell of sulfur and the seem to hold the very distinct scent of rotting flesh.
